    Modular Tower

Now it seems to work again... does mocpage often go down, or is it just since I put something on it? (two days in a row it was down around the same time)

    Modular Tower

For the piece count, no idea... I build without counting When demolishing it in the next days/weeks, I may try to estimate the count.

    Modular Tower

B-OM-8D Hello, A little more than two years ago I started a MOC, but I did not often "work" on it so it took time until I finish it. The aim was to make the tallest possible building, with the restriction that it should fit in my apartment (whose ceiling is at 2.5m). So here is the result: It fits well between other modular buildings: But it is a little taler: My cats were not of a big help... More pictures and info : http://mocpages.com/moc.php/301766
  4. One more custom Custom Rally Van : I have a sixth one ready to be re-colored, but I do not know yet what I'll do with it :D
  5. It was sold by Tyco. http://www.markpascua.com/2008/03/21/lego-esque-phone/
  6. Same problem for Belgium (despite that in Germany it is available, and they ship from there anyway...)
  7. It made me think to http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/6234 but it is far from that. Maybe it would help to know the size of that door (in brick units).

  9. Impressive Congratulation for that collection. I am jealous ; my amount of train parts (12v too) is so small... ( http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3123097 )

    Lego and cats

Playing again with another Lego box:
  11. excellent photo One of my two cats always tries to steal Lego parts. I made a thread about that two months ago: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=48198
  12. Mine would work for the cars with kart wheels, which can then go on the tiles & panels on the side (the original 6335 used that "trick", since the cars provided with it had such wheels)
  13. I love car transporters too. Really nice models that you made there. I also made one some time ago, based on the trailer of set 6335:

    Lego and cats

    Make longer cats with Lego:
  15. And even in such case, you can have surprise. When they made Mickey sets in 2000, they reused some Fabuland parts of the 80s

    Lego and cats

Here it is the female (the one who steals the Lego parts) who does that; but I only found balls, not yet lego parts, in the water.

Not sure if the link will work; a video of my cats playing with an empty Lego box: http://www.facebook.com/v/1691678452610

    Lego and cats

I was a little afraid of that indeed, but as long as she takes large parts there are no risks I guess. And anyway I do not let the cats play with parts, I take these back as soon as I see that they steal them... except for two megablock parts (that I got with a bunch of Lego parts in an Ebay purchage) that I left on purpose amongst other things available for them to play

    Lego and cats

I have two cats. One plays with what he finds (as does most of the cats), so if a part falls from the table or if a round piece is rolling, he jumps on it. The other one however seems to like to steal Lego parts. She does not play with them, she just takes the parts in her mouth and goes away with them Her favorite part on my desk seemed to be the trans-clear 1x2 panel, but it was not visible on the pictures, luckily she also grabbed some red parts. It is kinda hard to takes pictures as she is quite fast when doing that, but I could get few: (hoping that Brickshelf will accept them, else I'll put that elsewhere) What about you? Do you also have cats liking Lego?
  22. ditto, it is well done :)
  23. Type is tedious when you have lots of bricks/parts. Previously I was sorting by type only, I switched to color+type: main sorting color, then for most of the colors by type, grouping together types of which I did not had enough to fill a dedicated "container". As you said, the problem with type sorting is that you have to open more drawers/containers. Also, you may end up search one of the few rare-color part of a type in the middle of lots of common-color parts of the same type. I posted a pic previously: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=26213&view=findpost&p=671932 I tried to more or less regroup the colors, in the end it is a hybrid color+type, so drawers are e.g. "blue tiles", "yellow 1x2 + 1x4 plates", "small red slopes", "white round bricks + plates" etc.
  24. Paradisia sets were nice for that. In a way, Harry Potter too. The only sets that my sister got were from these two themes :D But she also played a lot with me with my Lego, as she did not had many sets of her own.
