  1. What an awesome figure! I'll be getting this one for sure when it comes out. I love your previews CopMike. The funny comic strip way of showing them is really fun
  2. This is a really nice minifig that my niece would love! This is one of my favorites too. Cop Mike seems to have the hookup when it comes to early previews
  3. All were great! There are some that especially caught my eye that I really loved but one made me smile and laugh that I stuck in my mind since it was posted... badboytje88-22. Orphanage It was well done but also had a lot of character and humour. You look at it and it makes you smile. The minifigs are so cute and fun. Even the building has it's character.
  4. @the_green_avenger lol So that's why there was race car tracks in the dirt by the house! @Brickoholic OOops, I meant 3 lol nice catch there. Yes the mouse is definitely a pet too...though some of the roommates don't always agree... Thanks for the replies. I'm glad people likes it. Christoff, Me and my niece got that set mostly because of the minifig. He's one of my favs too! lol The Imperials still haven't gotten their door back yet. I hope that wasn't the door to the poop deck or it's going to be windy in there when they are doing number 2 (A poop deck isn't a bathroom is it? Ah well I still think it's funny. It sounds like a bathroom name)
  5. Wowa! That is pretty amazing! I like how you showed a number of options. It gives people an easier time deciding and planing what they are going to do. I spend too much on Lego as is so getting 2 will take me some fighting with my mind. You ever do that? You think you shouldn't but you try to find reasons so you can? Such as, "well I could always sell one later on since they are always worth more in the future anyway." I've used that excuse a lot. So far I have yet to sell any of my built sets lol. I know I will get one set of the Emporium for sure but I'd like to get 2 so that I can stack them at least and keep the left over Legos to add to our Lego tubs. I like the one you like the best too. The one with the L shape and a few floors.
  6. There seems to be a lot of Lego fans who travel and get lucky running into Lego sets that aren't released in most of the world lol. I don't know what it is but I noticed that when a set review comes out on a set that has limited availability, a AFOL finds it while traveling lol. I wish I could do that. Do Lego fans plan their trips around a Lego store or is it a bit of a coincidence? And there is a Lego store in an airport? Great review. Excellent pictures too. I think I"m starting to recognize peoples reviews by their photography style I haven't seen the movie. I actually thought it was cartoons until I saw the box here. I'll definitely be getting this set. My niece will love the ostrages and I'll like the minifigs. I still haven't got any Indiana Jones sets that had the Turban. I want one of those minifigs.
  7. I've never seen this set either. I love it! I'm always drawn to great fun packaging like this but I'd bet that it's much more expensive. In the music CD world, just to add extra panels to cd pressings can cost hundreds extra more on 1,000 CDs. Then if you want to do a booklet or special cardboard cover, it can cost even more! This looks like a great set! I can see how it would be especially great for kids going on a trip. The kid can easily carry his/her Lego set in the blimp. I really love the blimp and the pieces it comes with look very interesting as you said. All that with the kewl minifigs would have me thinking that this set was a big seller when it came out!
  8. The Lego builders are out wearing green celebrating saint patric's day Metroid :) What are great building, nice job inventor! Nice color scheme too! I like how you made that nice first classy pic introducing the MOC. I love the originality! The canal with the canoe. I gotta get me one of those Lego canoes! That is a great trading post. People can just paddle on over and trade there gems in for crossants I like the hook chain at the top. I'm guessing they get in some very big croissants! I love croissants with my coffee. I need to get me one of those crates full.
  9. Thank all for the replies. I really appreciate the comments. Thanks Captain Zuloo for the feature! I think I'm gonna print that page out for my resume when I apply for the job at the Lego store lol The mouse is being fattened up with lots of cheese
  10. I love the details! The pictures are great and funny too. You spent a lot of time with the details for sure. The barrel splash in the water, the man falling in while carring a barrel. The burnt black small house is really kool looking. Each picture on your moc page is so full of details! Very nice.
  11. Here is mine. House lot #30. It's a rickity shack of a home to a few men and a few animals, who stash their treasure there. House #30 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?...t=0#entry702717 ^Horsies like carrots ^This is a dance called the door thieves shuffle! Just keep running!
  12. ^Pirate Ship Door Getaway! A door had to be stolen from the Imperial Flagship... You'll also notice that an included play feature on the house is it's flip-top lid! ^Front Outside View We have 3 men. A guard, a captain, and a lookout. We also have 2 animals. A horse for transporting treasure, a parrot to lookout assist, and a mouse as a simple house pet. He is not vermin! Note the door handle is a skeleton arm. Heehee! ^Inside View Wood floors (I didn't have much for plates except a bunch of these 1x4 ones from pick-a-bricks that me and my 6 year old niece got. I had to be creative about the floor and hide some areas since I had no 1x2 tile plates. I only had about 3 brown 1x1 tile plates.) There is a ladder leading up to a shelf that holds more treasure. But it's sometimes used as a bed when empty. Behind the ladder is a chest of drawers. First time I ever made one and I learned how to make it from seeing peoples mocs on Eurobricks :) Also note: The guard and the mouse are both taking a lunch break. He likes to share his cheese with the mouse. Awww ^Grilling fish for lunch One of the boys played a prank on the captain and put some sort of flame accelerant in a the fire. As you can see it's just gone off. ^Back Side / Mountain wall side If you notice the ladder area is made so that when the roof lid is flipped open, the ladder folds up on it's own. Nothing is damaged upon flippage Also note: the Black Flag. In modern times to us punk rockers it meant Anarchy! In the Pirate Days of long ago I believe it was the flag on a pirate ship and if you could see it, you were in big trouble! But if I'm wrong, one of the captains on the forum will correct me. :) ^Lookout Area Shotgun at the ready! Gold tooth in the mouth! ^Roof Top Isometric View Picture for the map. I hope you all enjoyed my first ever MOC post on the internet! Believe it or not I spent about 8 hours total working on this thing lol. Half the time was spent trying to think of ways to cover the roof and floors with 2x4 tile plates (and 5 1x6s.) I really need to make a brick link order for tiles/plates of 1x2s. The roof was going to be black slopes from our pick-a-brick adventures in the Lego store, but I only had 4 stud lenth ones. No 2 stud lengths. So it wouldn't work right. Hope you like it! One more thanks to Mister Ratshot for giving me the confidence to enter. I wanted to join this event but I thought I stunk too bad and thought maybe there would be an event where I can have someone else build on that program and I order the parts and build it. But Mister Ratshot assured me I was welcome to join this event! I'm glad I did because I finally got to build a real full MOC! A house of my own with an actual roof!
  13. As I mentioned earlier I have both the minifig and key chain versions. They sat in front of my desk for a week and thought they were very good quality. The blue arms are a nice deep blue that shines, it literally has nice shiny spots of light bouncy off it just look at my earlier picture. The baby blue color reminds me of the color of one of the houses in the Market Village set. It's a very nice baby blue color. I don't see one imperfection on the figure. I think the earlier concern of some is just due to the mark and identifying it as made in china thereby reminding us of the magnet minifig packs that had lower quality. Such as the pirates with the dark red color. I don't see anything wrong with the figure. So imo you can rest a little bit as it seems at least in this instance that this figure is of great quality!
  14. This minifigure is beautiful I agree! I never heard of it until now and I'm surprised that it's only in key chain form. I'm definitely getting it for my niece! I guarantee it will be one of her favorite minifigs if not her most favorite. It looks like Lego is starting to listen to more requests for girl Lego. I couldn't believe they made the all girl minifigure collection set. I also noticed that more of the small box sets have at least 1 nice female minifig. My niece's birthday is coming up, I think I will get this minifigure and put it on her birthday cake!
  15. Looks like a nice little vehicle! His but may not fit into the seat but as long as he hangs on to those handlebar grips he is all set to win the races!
  16. I love all the minifigs in this collection but I'm thinking that they will cost more then $1.99. At least $2.99. The build-a-minifig packs are 3 minifigs per pack for $10 If they do end up being $1.99 that will be a steal of a deal! I'm glad they aren't coming out yet though. There is still a lot to collect for me! They come out with so much stuff it's crazy. If I was rich I would have this kool big Legoland room lol.
  17. Hello there this is a little late welcome for you from me. I came here from a link you posted in your reply in the thread about Lego and building with significant others. What a cute little car! I've never heard of it. I'm guessing they don't have them in the US and it's a UK thing. What an interesting hobby. That is really cute and thoughtful that you made her a Lego version. That's pretty kool.
  18. You could just get the key chain version and clip the top. Won't have to ever worry about hair falling off your minifig. :) Yesterday and Today was the day where you get a free Max KeyChain if you spend at least $35 so I went and bought the new Pirate Cove game along with some other things so I could get it. BUT WAIT! I GOT LUCKY! WOOHOOO! The people at the Lego stores around here know me now and they always like me. They are very nice. I saw the sign for the free Max Minifig when you attend a Lego Club Meeting with your child so I asked about it wanting to sign up. But the sign was from February and the just hadn't taken it down. So I told the guy how me and my niece really wanted to regular max minifig even though the key chain version is nice. He said sorry that I missed it. And then later on after I was done talking to a very nice AFOL woman with her son and husband, about the Lego Podcasts that Captain Zuloo does and mentioning how I made the intro song, the employee at the Lego store went in the back and pulled me aside and said, "here you go" and gave me a left over Max minifig! He had a few left over from the event. I thanked him so much. I was happy especially because my niece likes this figure as much as me.
  19. lol I remember how the metal axle would rust. If you've ever seen a big bag of Legos selling at the flea market, you can often find many of these old axles rusted away with wheels on them Well done! I think they call that, getting the most out of what you got! And you do it well. Something many can learn from. I've slowly got back into photography recently.
  20. I love the comics! Especially the rude little boy IceCream one haha! You must have worked on this for hours. It's so well detailed with quirky funny interesting comments. I spent a good half hour just reading it and looking at all the pictures. It was great and I can't say that enough times or find enough words to profess my admiration for such a great piece of Lego journalism. After all it is almost 2am and my brain has quit for the night.
  21. This brings back memories. Nice review and great pictures too! Do you use a professional camera? Nikon D90 or the newer Rebel? I remember as a kid my favorite was the space because I really liked the pieces. They were a bit more different then the plain city stuff. I remember those balloon tires lol. I liked the oxygen tank backpack things and the helmets. The computers were great too. Me and my brother would make these long cars that were like mobile police station transports with lots of computers, levers, and space stuff. I also really liked the the cupboard cabinet things sometimes used as mailboxes as is the blue on in your set there. You could put the helmet in to store it or other equipment they would use. I was exited when I did a recent pick-a-brick and they had the wider ones. Then at another store they had the cabinet doors which made it complete. I love those things. I kept saying to my niece, "look we could put it on a car and put the peoples stuff in there." lol It was funny because I think she saw I was more fascinated by it then her.
  22. Those are great! I love all the Indiana Jones vehicles and I was saddened to see almost all of them discontinued and no longer on sale, (except through ebay and Amazon for high prices of course. ebay is highering their fees too so that will make prices go up if any stores are left that is.) I really wanted the convoy truck that has the tent-like fabric-like top on it and looks like an army vehicle. I've seen youtube videos of peoples WWII era setups using those. There is a nice animated video with one and a bunch of soldiers. I thought you might like this pic of the Boston Duck tours vehicle. They have about 30 and have helped save these vehicles history by using them and maintaining them constantly. They are very popular and always seen driving around giving tours. The city of Boston is really great and I've always had a lot of love for the city and it's rich American historical culture. Anyone coming here for the first time should definitely take a tour first to learn the spots. http://www.bostonducktours.com/ I found this toy while looking for the pics... http://www.7gadgets.com/2007/05/27/rc-duck-tour-boat-rtr/180
  23. I'm wondering as well. I'll have to see if I can take a ride tomorrow to target in MA on plain st.
  24. I'm glad to see this set! I almost can't believe that Lego came out with an all female collection set! I have one of the other collections. My niece would love this. I just showed it to her. Her fav minifigs are the same ones your wife likes. They are some of my favs also. We just got the set with the queen or princess, with the jester. I giggled at him in that picture dancing around in the front. Did your wife finish setting them up for the final picture?
  25. I'm not married and actually I'm single at this time. I'm interested in this topic. Hope you don't mind me chiming in. I'm into psychology and always interested how people think. I've always been one to go out with girls who had a lot in common with me and always worked together on things. The type that often says they have more guy friends then girl friends. The girls who like horror movies and zombies. (I was tallking to one recently who works at Gamestop) I don't know how different I am then the average person but I tend to go out with girls who are creative and are into art or sing, something like that which coincides with what I do. I know most of my friends keep there things separate. They go out to sports games and the girlfriend goes do her thing, at the end of the night they are together and go out on dates too. But me, I'm the type that for example, I ride dirt bikes, so when I find a girl that rides dirt bikes or motorcycles I go nuts with excitement haha. Take the Tomb Raider character who is a girl, she shoots guns, goes raiding tombs, but later at night might go to a nice restaurant dressed all nice. All my ex girlfriends are the type that do stuff that is often stereotyped as "guy stuff" and they say things like, "I can play and get dirty playing baseball with the boys or I can be out dancing in heels." Is that weird? Maybe just less common? I only ask because I've been on some dating sites and I never see other guys say that they are into that type. Ironically though I do see some girls who put down that earlier quote in their bio. I don't know I guess what I'm trying to say is that my girlfriends tend to be my buddy too lol. We'll go to the comic book store together, collect the same things, get into each others interests. I don't see a lot of people do this though. I've always liked movies like Run Lola Run, Bonnie & Clyde, stuff where the guy and girl are a team. Yeah I know they rob banks too but well I think you know what I mean they depend on each other, lol. It would make me sad if a girl were to thing my stuff was evil lol. Haha yesterday I was asking this girl, "So do you let your boyfriend play with your Legos?" haha it just sounded so funny.
