Holly Canolies! That is awesome! Please post a picture of your new drawer and storage setup if you can. I looked up the drawer on Amazon it looks like one of those hardware nuts and bolts drawers. I'll have to go back and reference the storage threads for a complete solutions. I bought these Sterelite Storage Drawers from target. They are stackable & come in a few colors. Single 3 drawer units sell at the store for about $12 US, or 6 online for $50 US. I made labels in photoshop for them. But my niece had a sleep over with her friend and they decided to make a bed sheet tent and the drawers got knocked down, and everything got shoved back in at random. So I need to resort everything. I don't know if this will be the longterm solution of choice, to just keep buying these drawers, but it's all I can afford right now. When I get some time I'll do my research on the popular topic of Lego sorting. Here's a pic of our start at Lego sorting. (IF anyone wants a copy of the Lables I made in Photoshop here's a link. I spent way too much time making them. I can also provide the Photoshop file if you want to make your own or modify them. I spent hours on it. Complete with guide lines, organized files in folders, etc.

Even Bunnies need houses :) So I assume the last Bellville sets left will be gone soon and on ebay for big bux

Those are really cute. lol I can't help but wonder if your dropping of a little Lego virus bomb... hahaha Next time you come back to their house to gift one of those viginettes, you'll find a ton of Lego boxes and Lego's have taken over the peoples houses as everyone is now into Lego too. I can see it now... "It all started so innoccently.... we first got a few of these little displays called "vigenettes" and then we liked the figures so much we went out and bought some more... that led to buying bigger sets because you know the figures need homes right? And then well, BAMN, my husband bought the Death Star with his bonus this year and that was it." "I went to visit grand papa, I was worried I hadn't heard from him in weeks. We knocked on the door but their was only a muffled sound, "coooo, coome, iiiiin..." so we opened the door and their was grandpapa under a mountain of Legos! So I jumped right in like it was a pile of leaves! Mommy says she is going to buy me my own sleeping bag so I can sleep their on the weekends and we can play Legos!"

That is pretty awesome! So was the review :D But why does batman have a blank strip across his head? And why are his eyes not there when he has his mask on?

That article was a bunch of exaggeration. The lady in the video mentioned a non-existing military theme for boys. I don't think Lego has ever had a military theme. They've always been against violence and too much gun totting. It was only after they nearly closed down that they really went into adding some guns and licenses at the recommendation of the new guy brought in to save the company. "Web not happy" as if the entire web is lashing out against Lego. Completely untrue. Most people are exited and happy about this new line. Lego is doing this the smart way. Later on after feedback comes in, then they can make a bunch of sets without any pink or pastel at all. But right now it's risky. It's not even that bad. Most girls I know, their fav colors are pink & purple /fusia. I showed my niece the posted pics here and she really likes them. Sure it's not for every color, but it's too risky to cater to a few girls that like black & blue.

I didn't know anything about these. They look much better then Bellville which had low rated sets that were somewhat expensive. Like some have said, it may be too late for Christmas at least for me and my niece since I already got her the Winter Post Office and Baker (which we already built for our Christmas Winter Display) but I know she will love them. I like how the ones with 2 figures have people of different races. It seems like Lego has been listening to the feedback from fans and parents wanting more female oriented sets besides Bellville. I think it will pay off for them and they will be glad they took the chance.

I like it. Looks kool the space ship is very unique. Reminds me of some of the old black and white sci-fi movies I like to watch

Great review. I can tell you put some time into making it and editing the pics. It looks like an interesting character. I've never heard of this until now. I might have to get one of these.

I just ordered a Santa Yoda from EBay. They are going for about $10 with him alone, or $15 which comes with 3 bags. Santa Yoday, A Christmas Tree, and some white & grey droidish looking thing, and with a green light saber sword. I thought it was pretty kool that a number of people including other things to make a better value package because at first some people were selling just the mini figure alone for $15 US. I just love that little guy. I'm sure he will probably be available next year in maybe a Santa fridge magnet display version.

[DELETE] Ooops, page wasn't loading so I clicked again and looks like it multiposted. SOrries.

I was dissapointed when I saw this in the Lego Shop Online. Christmas Holiday isn't about cops and robbers and I don't think anyone who has Legos needs another cop. Even as a kid, we'd play cops and robbers maybe once in a while but the cops were the most boring generic characters and it seemed like too many sets came with them, as if Lego had a surplus they were trying to get rid of. But after seeing this review, I might get it for me and my niece who is 8 now, to do it with as I started the tradition years ago. The robbers are funny characters reminding me of the ones in A Christmas Story and the cops are the best I've seen Lego release but it's just not Christmassy. II buy this set it's the OP that made it look not too bad. :D

He's awesome! Santa Yoda. I'll have to buy that from Brinklink too lol. He's the star of the set imo and the black c3po (don't kill me Star Wars Pros, I only know the originals) is the co-star :D

That is so awesome! I love it. Nice curves! I always loved alien stuff
-
Ima get some to make a Mad Scientist :)

Wow another piece to add to the series. Me and my niece have the other 2. I guess this one will be next :)

It looks awesome like something that an AFOL would build without the studs on top. Very intricate.

Uh oh, it's a measuring contest! Get out your yard sticks/meter sticks! I sense a bunch if super amazing works of art! The biggest thing I've made so far is the Pirates theme, Imperial Flagship. But I love love love the towns people make with the bays and ships pulling in the harbor, sending their dingy a shore lol something like that!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion

EDIT Thank you Blondie-Wan I will check those stores. Much appreciated :) Since I bought my new motorcycle I've been doing a lot of riding and I still have not seen any minifigs blind packs at Walmarts or Targets. I'm going to TRU today to check. I am checked both the isles in the toys section and the reguster isles while I read they'd be many months back. I wanted to comment on the subject of kids actually being upset by this or not. To be honest, I don't think most kids had a chance. And that would be the only reason not many kids are as upset. If you know kids and how they treat this stuff, they would be upset IF THEY KNEW ABOUT IT. My niece isn't upset about it only because she never even got a chance to see them. I know many adult Lego fans who play Legos with their kids are upset because these minifigs are unique and they know their kids would love them. I even replied in a few sites to parents reviewing the product as a 1 star due to the whole fiasco and I gotta admit I did check "this review was helpful" and on Amazon.com I and another guy made comments under a review all about this. On the official site reviews people have mentioned it. I will be very surprised if Lego does not make these again and doesn't try to rectify the situation. I still have faith in Lego. One of the big reasons I buy Lego, and am constantly recommended their product to parents shopping for kids, is because the company sticking to their roots and the family sense. They have previously in the past turned down deals they could have made money on. But I know since they almost went out of business they have had to loosen those ethics. But this collectors edition 1 month things is going to far. Lego magazine came in the mail today and they already have more lines and sets coming out. I think Lego is starting to cater to the adults. Why else would they make 1 month collectors edition minifigs that are unique and cool? Surely not for little kids. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion

This is really a big let down and I'm saddened that Lego did this. How are kids supposed to collect them all or the ones they want, when they only have 1 month to get them! That's ridiculous! I really should boycott them but me and my niece really like these new figures in the pics but nowhere in the Boston area here seems to have them now. When I claled the store had them but when I got there they were gone! I called 3 different Lego stores. One store said they sold out of them at the beginning of the month and never got more! The Walmarts, Targets, Kmarts, around here never had them because I checked those since they are near me. The Lego store that did have them was 45min away and I couldn't get there in time with money. I love collectible limited edition stuff but 1 month is a sham and it's not fair to kids especially. I'm upset about this. I'd still be upset even if I got them because it's not fair to others. A set of 16 figs online is going for $70 and as someone else said $5-8 each one, usually plus $2 shipping. I don't believe that Lego didn't know the demand. They are so cheaply priced. I can't believe they didn't have them for 6 months or something. It's funny I tell people that Legos are worth more then saving your money in gold (for those who are protecting themselves against the overinflated American dollar being devalued) I'm even tempted to stop buying Lego all together for a while. I don't like how Lego goes through some sets so fast. It's summer anyway and me and my niece might be better off exorcising and just enjoying the sets we have gotten so far. Lego has to be doing more with these minifigs then just the $2 bags. I can't imagine they went through the trouble of creating these new figs just to have them for 1 month and not put them in small sets later on. It blows my mind! If Lego were smart they would do the right thing and extend it. A similar thing happened in EQ2 a long time ago and now when someone buys an expansion, everyone gets a reward of a little pet or something. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
Grimmy replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I've been away for some time and since it's been hot outside me and my niece have been playing outside, neglecting our Legos until yesterday... I felt guilty about it too for some reason. Anyway, I called the Local Lego store and they still have the minifigs. I'm having a rough month with bills but I'm going to see if I can be a full box so that me and my niece can pick the ones we want then sell the doubles. I'm a bit saddened that they are only doing this for one month per series. Lego says they are caught by surprise at the demand but I don't understand how they couldn't have forseen these would be immensely popular especially at the price. Situations like these have all the ebayers going to the stores buying them all out then selling them for more money online. I can't understand why they are only selling for 1 month. So basically you only have one month to collect them in the stores or else you have to pay a premium through online resellers. -
The cuteness factor on this is off the scale! I love it! Where can I get a bunny like that?

Does anybody else like Motorcycles around here?

I'm happy so see this thread! So I can show off my brand new bike I just picked up 4 days ago! I've never had a new car or bike till now and I read that as long as I take good care of it and do regular maintenance, I should have no problems with it for a loooooong time! It rides like a dream and I'm learning defensive driving skills which are extremely important! I'm reading a book and watched a video, taking a safety course. 2009 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R MONSTER EDITION ^At the dealership. Already bought but waiting for me to register it. I bought a new skull windscreen and matching tank pad for it. ^Me taken the bike for a ride. I know I know the loose jeans aren't the best for riding. I got 2 new safer helmets. Today I bought some black leather pants. I got a cover for it and B2 Industries pro rail sliders I need to put on to protect the bike in case of drop. Also getting a Scorpian Alarm the new Rlink one with pager system, GPS, and cellular tech. ^Watch me take the bike for a ride to practice getting used to it in a parking lot right next to the dealer. Watch as I take a wide turn and nearly drop it at the end! -
I like it. It's a nice little shop with good room for tractors and to sell "other stuff." Now I know where to get a good trackter when I buy my farm. I'm sure you'll give me a good deal since I'm a Lego forum acquaintance.

I love it! Great details and I love the printing on it. The hair could be used as a new Santa Clause for 2010 Dec holiday. Lego did such a great job on these figures that on the voting pools they are getting a majority of "outstanding" highest best vote option. I always put outstanding myself.
