[GNAR] The Mitgardian Water And Land Rescue Undertaking Squad
janatale replied to janatale's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thanks! Ask and you shall receive, here is a picture of just the boat, empty of all people. I made the water level really high in my earlier pictures to hide the brown base, which obviously wouldn't work for a stealth boat. I can definitely see the Walrus's hanging out in the ice to prove how tough they are. The training to become a Walrus is very intense, nearly 80% of all recruits fail the training course. -
Wow this is beautiful, So many awesome details and the color scheme is great. I really like the dragon decal above the large gate, it looks incredible. The bridge over the water is awesome as well.

A strong navy. with massive warships, is becoming more and more important for the defense of Mitgardia. Mitgardian ship builders have been hard at work building up the Navy. However, not all battles require large ships filled with hundreds of soldiers. Speed and stealth is equally important, and this is where the Mitgardian Water And Land Rescue Undertaking Squad excels. The Mitgardian Water And Land Rescue Undertaking Squad, better known of the Mitgardian Walrus's is a group of elite fighters who specialize in hostage rescuing, assassinations, and other special operations. The Walrus's work in a squad of 12 men, split into three different groups. The assault group is responsible for most of the fighting and hostage rescuing. The bowmen provide cover fire and protect the ship when docked in enemy territory. The Transportation group include the ship captain and are responsible for transporting the Walrus's quickly, safely and undetected. Joining the transportation group is extremely difficult, as it requires near perfect sailing, often in complete darkness. Most of the Walrus's work is classified. Recently the Walrus's were tasked with the rescue of [REDACTED] from [REDACTED] on [REDACTED]. The walrus's sailing on S.S. Darkwind, captained by Cpt [REDACTED], approached [REDACTED] at 3:00 a.m. The assault group is in position on the side of the boat ready to move as soon as S.S. Darkwind makes landfall. As they approached land Commanders [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] shot and killed two guards. The S.S. Darkwind made land fall at approximately 3:07 a.m. and the assault group quickly moved to [REDACTED]. The bowmen (dressed in black) set up a defensive perimeter, while the transportation group stabilized the boat, prepared for a quick extraction, and hide the dead bodies of the guards. 4 minutes later, The assault group returned with the hostage safe and unharmed. 23 seconds later, the S.S. Darkwind was on its way back to Mitgardia. No Warus's were injured in the rescue attempt. Mission Accomplished! I had some free time this weekend inbetween sorting previous MOCs and packing my apartment, and put together these scenes quickly, using my ship from a previous MOC. I apologize for the imperfect picture backgrounds, but I wanted to get this MOC and story up quickly for the GNAR contest. C&C welcome . Enjoy!

As others have said, the color scheme is great, the white goes well with the roof and dark brown. I have to agree with Steen, who doesn't enjoy a good fight!

This is great to know. Thanks for the new technique.

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
janatale replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Congrats to all our new military leaders! I have faith you will lead us all to an easy victory over any enemy we encounter. I still have the ship still built! I have a short story idea that I want to do for it, so I plan on making some slight changes and creating a very basic environment. I will probably get it done this weekend. -
Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
janatale replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Ugh, unfortunately I'm the same way. I just recently bought my first house, so between sorting my most recent MOC, packing, working, and other house related things, I won't be MOCing until I move at the end of July -
Great work! I love the baseplate and the minifigure posing. Also, if I'm looking at it correctly, it looks like you got the stud part of the chain inside the handcuffs, how did you do that? are the cuffs thin enough to fit through that hole?

Looks great! I really like the wooden gate/fence. Great technique

AoM Stables Phase III - To Horse! (HoM Entry)
janatale replied to Garmadon's topic in Guilds of Historica
Great work! It looks so clean, smooth and visually appeal, which is awesome. I really like the differences in roof heigh/how far out the buildings come out from the wall. It's a small detail but it makes the build seem so much more realistic.- 18 replies

Thanks! I wish I could have made some more curves and angles on the walls, but it used so many pieces as it was, I didn't want to make it any bigger to accommodate change in directions. Thank you!

Awesome! I love the cracked stone, stage area. It's look great, especially elevated like that.

Thanks! Thanks a lot! Thank you! Thanks! Location is a tough question. I originally built another part of the city last year before joining GoH, and since joining, I decided to incorporate it into Historica. If I were to place it anywhere, I would say somewhere off the South-Western coast of Mitgardia, close to Avalonia, near tradewind bay. Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. I am considering taking pictures of the ship, though I might modify it to add more real sails and stuff first. Thank you! Thanks! Glad you like the rocks, its one of my favorite things to build. Thank you! Thank you! Thanks! Of course its fine! Edervisk is a huge trading spot and people from all over Historica are welcome to visit.

After building for the past few months, I've finally finished the second build for my city "Edervisk.: Edervisk is a unique city made up of several small islands and cliff faces located off the coast of Mitgardia. The Edervisk keep is the main defensive structure of city, and also where the Lord of Edervisk resides. While technically a part of Mitgardia, its distance from the mainland and location in warmer waters makes Edervisk very different than many other Mitgardian cities. The main gate: It's location on the sea makes Edervisk a vibrant trading spot, and people from all over Historica can be found around the city A few convicted felons from the wolf-tribe are being lead to the mainland for their punishment A trading ship departs from the docks The docks. Rasmus waits for a ship to transport the criminals back to the mainland Mitgardia I took this birdeye view and really liked it. It help shows the layout of the Keep: The full album can be found here This took a lot longer than I wanted it too, once I destroy and sort the city, I plan on working on smaller builds to help improve my building skills and participate more in challenges. Of course this probably won't happen until I move to a new house. C&C welcome .
