  1. Thalion heard the ogre's question and twitched out of his meditation, looking for the person who uttered the words. When he realized who it was, he stood up, and walked slowly towards the ogre. He bowed as he greeted the hero. "Greetings master ogre! My name is Thalion Dwinals, and I am looking for one. Do you have one for sale or trade?"
  2. As usual, excellent review WF! While it does have some nice and useful pieces, this pack offers nothing worth the price tag it carries. I have no problem skipping it over until some nice, new pirate sets come along. 2 from me, as well...
  3. Great looking modular!
  4. Thalion wanders back to the Hall, and quietly gets himself a glass of wine and sits at an empty table meditating on the Plague Doctor's words and the events that took place at the unveiling.
  5. Great ship, love the color scheme! It looks quite menacing...
  6. And that is the point, when the chance is offered, there should be a yes or no option, like the Ziegfrieds on #44, but also there should be the same option BEFORE the battle in which a potential result is an increased rep with a house (again like in #44, when, if I am not mistaken, Deekra opted out before fighting for the Bonapartes), do you want to help him/her/them and gain a reputation with a house, not after the battle. After the battle in which you helped someone (expecting nothing in return), who then says "Thanks for helping me, I'll mention you to our house", I see it only normal to have a possible answer - "No problem for helping you, but dont mention me." because the hero didn't know he would increase the reputation by helping someone; he simply protected a stranger out of the goodness of his heart, common sense, duty, honor or something else. Of course, this should not be the case in a quest where reputation with the house is part of a quest reward, then you volonteraly sign up for it and should not have any option to finish the quest normally without the rep.
  7. Absolutely agree with Scuba, great quest CMP! Short, sweet and very fun! The question I was also wondering what did we miss? What if we let that purple thing live and/or regenerate the Doctor?
  8. Thalion bowed to the newsmen, "It has been a pleasure working for you. Red, Wally, stay safe!" He turned to the party, "Excellent work today everyone, it was my honor to fight alongside you. I guess we'll see each other at the Hall" and with a slight bow, he left.
  9. Got it, thanks!
  10. Hope I dont put you to too much trouble over Thalion's rep requests!? Anyway, would you mind giving a clarification on the Alpha and Omega, as I plan on Thalion using them in the future. Here's my understanding - the wielder has a staff (which can attack normal - physically) and when you cast a spell you have an option on spending 2 additional ether to add a healing to that action and vice versa (cast and heal on the same turn for 4 ether). Of course, you cant cast and heal unless you know how to like sage, mime or prophet. Is that right, or did I miss interpret something like - the cost is only 2 ether for both; you can cast/cast | heal/cast or heal/heal - a choice; something different...?
  11. +1! What have you got planned for Amma, Psy? Or is it a surprise?
  12. "I agree. Maybe they are not good per se, but they no worse then any other of the great houses, and as I said, they treated us, heroes, honorably. Very well master U'Reeka, you have our permission to study these and return them to Ji Pei along with regards from Hybros and myself." Thalion handed the Masked Man bits to U'Reeka.
  13. "I am not some murderous cutthroat to kill without knowing what is going on, all I said was, that if there was a dispute between the Bonapartes and the Ji Pei, I'd rather help the Ji Pei solve it, because I helped the Bonapartes in the past and saw what they did to their prisoners. You know too, you were in the Hovels too. I have helped the Ji Pei two times so far, and they have behaved far more honorably the the Bonnies, both times. I dont know their motives, or any other house' for that matter, and I dont care to know them, but anyone who slays their captives, especially after they promise to be fair to them, is not right in my book. But all that aside, anyone who knows me, knows that I would much rather avoid the bloodshed if at all possible. Like I tried to reason with the Plague Doctor today, but failed unfortunately..."
  14. "I am glad we were able to help, but a thanks is more then enough." OOC: I wouldn't want to lower Thalion's reputation with the Ziegfrieds, so he'll pass on the Guild's rep. But the Ji Pei one, that'd be nice... "I have no problem giving you these parts to study and later return to the Ji Pei, and if you could send my regards to them the better. But if my fellow companions are against it, I am fine with just leaving the parts with you, or throwing them or whatever." Thalion said, looking at the U'Kin. He turned to the party, "But let me tell you this, the Ji Pei already have superior models of automatons then this." He points to the pile of metal that was once the fake Masked Man. "I heard it from master Legonardo himself, that they used the Sentinel we fought and returned to them, to upgrade their machinery or whatnot, and those new models helped us fight the remainder of 108 Stars of Destiny bandits in Xu, and even transferred some of their elemental energies to us, in and out of fight. So there is absolutely no harm in returning this one to them, like I said, they already have superior ones derived from the one similar to this... So Guts, if there is going to be another fight with the Bonapartes, in which if I may add, I would help the Ji Pei, there would be a lot more trouble then this junk heap gave us today..." "And one more thing, like master Guts, I would also like a copy of the paper!" He adds with a smile to the newspaper men. OOC: With 50 gold from quest reward Thalion should have 622 gold total (472 + 100 from Guts + 50) and one pair of Twin Sais less in his inventory.
  15. Thalion shook Knife-Tongue's hand and nodded at Melvin, "Goodbye my friends, and thank you. Likewise, I hope we'll see each other too. Say hi to the captain for me!" With them leaving, he looked at Rian, "I don't know what to think... What the purple doctor told could be the truth, or it could be a product of hallucinating from that parasite on his head, I think we'll not learn the truth this time..." Thalion then turned to Red, Wally and the party, "I think its time to head back, wouldn't you agree?" OOC: for the special effects!
  16. Thalion created a small flame and tried to scorch the purple mass.
  17. "That I cannot say for certain, but I can say that the original sentinel, the one we fought earlier, was returned to the Ji Pei... What was the fate of that pile of metal later, I do not know."
  18. "We took it to the person who hired us to find it bring it back to its rightful owner - The Ji Pei; Chalvo or Calvo was his name... Of course we should not leave it here, we will be taking it with us, otherwise some new "idealist" could find it and do something similar like the Doctor did here today." Thalion paused for a moment, "The thing I find strange about it is that it looked completely different when we fought it. So it was either stolen and altered by someone else, or the Ji Pei have mastered such a powerful technology and sold it to someone. Or the Ji Pei made the shape-changing technology for automatons and then someone stole it! Either way, I reckon it is worth investigating; do you agree miss Red?" Thalion smiled and looked at the scribbling journalist...
  19. Great looking figure, nicely detailed, potential to be a good addition to any pirate MOC. Sadly I don't own any, but I definitely will!
  20. The skin looks great, and the only thing I dont like is this widget Its place seems a bit off, and the widget itself seems obsolete as the links to fb, youtube, flicker and twitter are in the upper right corner. But that's just me... Other than that, as I said, it looks really nice, with the "post" and "MRO" buttons being my favorites.
  21. "Excellent work everyone!", Thalion looks around to make sure everyone is alright. After the battle is over, he picks up the loot and hands it out to the party: Guts: 2x Remedies, Ambrosia Maurice: Conductor Shield, Remedy Hybros: 2x Remedy Thalion: Remedy, Ether Core, Alpha and Omega, The Masked Man Bits Thalion looks at raider, smiles and nods, "Sure, as I am not using them to much anyway, I would be glad if you have them, and some gold wouldn't go amiss too." He hands the Twin Sais to Guts, and equips Alpha and Omega. He then takes a moment to examine the Masked Man bits, and speaks to no one in particular, "I know these parts! This was from a mechanical sentinel we fought on an earlier quest..." He turns around to Melvin and Knife-Tongue, "You remember, right? In the ship's hold, when that boy activated it and Captain Ildria helped us bring it down... But we gave it a good smash, in the end it blew itself up to pieces... Could it be the same...?"
  22. Thalion attacks Doctor with darkness spell, twice, from back row. Same Battle Order.
  23. Thalion uses a scroll of Frailty on Masked Man, and casts a darkness spell at Doctor from back row. Battle Order: Thalion Thalion Guts Guts Guts Hybros Hybros Maurice OOC: Scuba, JimB, please use one of your attacks to target Ithea, to avoid her using Free Hit. The rest should be aimed towards the Doctor.
  24. "You really ought to keep our good friend Doctor busy for now, master Maurice...", says Thalion as he sees paladin preparing to attack the beastman. OOC: Guts should attack Moroul. We'll join you in attacking the Doctor as soon as masked man is blinded. And if his level has got you worried Etzel, you can attack Ithea, and Ill have Thalion keep the doctor busy...
  25. Thalion uses the Scroll of Frailty on Ithea and casts a darkness spell at her, both from back row. Battle Order: Thalion Thalion Guts Guts Hybros Hybros Maurice
