  1. Thanks for sharing, but this is already being discussed in several topics I'll close this.
  2. All pirates sets look rather good IMO. There are some fantastic small sets and I love the fortress! It's nice to have new shako's, new pirate torso's, new imperial torso's. I'm slightly disappointed in the hull of the ship which is more <insert that tiresome argument> than the old ships (like the BSB). Whatever your opinion on the sets, the parts are great resources for making MOCs. Yeah! Pirates are back !!!

    City '09?

I have very high hopes for the farm set. I hope it brings us a wide variety of animals which would be useful in all Themes. I would love to see systems versions of these Duplo sets:
  4. You can add my name to the list!
  5. Thanks Badger for finding this news and posting it here! Judging only on the set names, my favorite is the Soldiers' Fort. Like several others I'm still hoping for a large ship (size of the BSB or bigger). If pirate come back I'll do my best to buy all the sets if the quality is right
  6. That's indeed an interesting webpage! Thanks for sharing.
  7. I've warned you but clearly the message didn't arrive... let's talk in private. I'm happy with people speculating in this thread, as a mater of fact I like to read the speculations. Now let's all go back on topic!
  8. And your actions would be well justified were you a moderator or administrator. Please use the report button or PM a staff member should you have similar feelings in the future. Thanks!
  9. Thanks for all the feedback!! I've started working on the starboard side. But of course I'm missing several pieces so I just ordered those on Bricklink. That's something I've designed with Paint Shop Pro and glued on the ship with Pritt ;-)
  10. Is that fried rat on the plate? Mmmmm, one of my favorites Nice work on this one JP! And a fun little story to go with the MOC.
  11. Coke and hookers, good idea All money from this or future raffles goes to Eurobricks. Same for the money made by the eBay adds. It's all used for hosting and prizes for upcoming contests (you can expect some contest with amazing prizes very soon!). Since we are running on our own server (to provide our members the best possible Eurobricks experience) we do have some costs related with this. It's a pity I can't join, but good luck to everyone! I hope the winner makes some pics and maybe a review
  12. Oh yes, my interview. It will have to wait a few days longer since I'm leaving to the seaside in 5 minutes, but I haven't forgotten about it
  13. Check out these interesting interviews of some of the finest Eurobricks builders on LAMLradio: August 11th - Mister oo7 August 7th - SlyOwl June 1th - SirNadroj about his Ant Attack MOC

  15. Welcome at Eurobricks!
  16. From time to time I'm improving my frigate L'Orient. I was completely unhappy with the sides of the ship, so that's the part I'm rebuilding now. I've rebuild one side of the ship and didn't touch the other side yet. This gives me the opportunity to show some pictures before and after the changes. Personally I like the new look a lot and I'm much more satisfied with the ship. Tell me what you think! This is still very much WIP and I'm still making several adjustments as I'm typing this. Before (side, back, front): After (side, back, front):
  17. I like the looks of this ship! My main suggestion is the make the front of the ship less blocky. Now this hull stops a bit suddenly at the front.
  18. Mmmm difficult... I would say the one on the right in the first picture looks best. The one on the left in the first picture is second best for me. But the versions with the red imperial guards torso's still look a bit better.
  19. Welcome Hyun! I hope you have a good time at Eurobricks
  20. A good improvement from the original Lagoon Lockup! If Lego comes back with pirates it's sets like these I would love to see. I also like the backgrounds added to the pics. This is a very talented builder!
  21. I've adjusted the title of this topic to classic-town.net to avoid any confusion. As Hinckley said, this is not a splinter site or new community but merely a portal for the the Eurobricks "Trains and Town" forum. The principle is the same as classic-pirates.com which is a portal site for the Eurobricks "Pirates" forum. Hinckley will be explaining all that at the time of the official launch.
  22. You and I need to have a talk...
  23. Looking very good P! This must be the first Cat O'Nine Tails that exists in Lego form. Now try it on some of your crew members
  24. I think eBay gives you some days before you need to pay. I have to look it up how much days you get.
  25. This is a wonderful army Lord General. I just love the combination of those white helmets with the imperial guards torso. It works very well and looks fantastic. And these helmets are so much less expensive than the shako's which makes them well suited for big Lego armies. My only suggestion is for adding some paper flags to improve the overall look of the army. Now all you need is some Zulu's and the war can begin. But be careful and don't make the same mistakes as the British at the Battle of Isandlwana
