Do you have a picture as an example? Reading your text, I get the feeling these militia didn't have uniforms which means a wide variate of torso's can be used for them.

These sets combined with the soldier impulse sets make the best battle packs ever. Thanks for sharing this great picture!

Nice to see the paddles work. It looks like the real thing, I'm impressed by this little video.

Those T-shirts look fantastic SlyOwl. And it's nice to know what you look like! But what will you do if we decide to promote you to the rank of moderator? Would that ruin your B-day present?

29. Exotrator - The Pirates of San Pedro 2. DNL 34. Pe668 - Finders Keepers, Loosers Bleeders It was hard selecting 3 entries so it took me some time to do so. 29. Exotrator - The Pirates of San Pedr The best according to my judgment. Wonderful fortress and town. If this was on sale I wouldn't doubt and buy it. 2. DNL My #2 choice. Lots of details everywhere and looks great overal. 34. Pe668 - Finders Keepers, Loosers Bleeders The combination of minifig scale and microscale works very well. Such an original entry deserves to be in my top 3. Besides the ones in my top 3 there are some others worth mentioning: 14. Paul cantu - The Raid on the Governor's Mansion 19. Lt. de Martinet - Attack on Fort de Triomphe 27. Capt. Kirk - Le Quartier Brique 31. Fat Tony - We pillage, we plunder, we rifle and loot.... 32. SirNadroj - The Pillaging of Neptune's Noggin Lagoon

Musing on what I saw/learned sorting the ship MOCs
Bonaparte replied to RTN LNA's topic in LEGO Pirates
I do like your idea's but I've decide to focus my ship building efforts around the Napoleonic times. The first big ship i've made (Orient) took me more than 2 years to finish (and I'm still finishing some final things on it), so you can call me slow :-). My new ship will most probably take 10 more months to get it completely ready. So even though I like your idea's I won't be able to build one of the suggested ships for another year. -
Buy 2009 LEGO Pirates from S@H or Toys R Us
Bonaparte replied to General Armendariz's topic in LEGO Pirates
I've updated the frontpage post by changing "worldwide" into "most countries". Thanks for letting us know. They are available in my little country (Belgium), so most probably Germany and Austria will follow soon. -
This might be a useful tip which I'll remember for the future. Thanks!!

Musing on what I saw/learned sorting the ship MOCs
Bonaparte replied to RTN LNA's topic in LEGO Pirates
Nice overview! I enjoyed reading the views on all these ships from someone like yourself who has a very long history with ship building. I remember looking at your ships years ago (I think it was on Lugnet) when Eurobricks and most certainly Classic-pirates.com didn't exist yet. In any case Kurt, I'm extremely happy to have you around in this community! You've said it, Captain Green Hair is a mighty fine shipbuilder. He knows his stuff very will. Currently the Captain is helping me to build my new ship (Royal Navy, 3rd rate ship of the line, 2 decker) and I'm very grateful to have him as my mentor. -

SlyOwl seems to have answered most of the questions already. What would we do without him Yes, there's a timeout of 20 min. If you "double post" within that timeframe your consecutive posts will be merged automatically. If you wait longer than 20 min no merging will be done.

Thanks for starting to sort the MOC ships in your new Index! I think this is a wonderful idea.

What a wonderful set Remove the soldiers/knights by pirates/imperials and this could as well be a pirate set. I'll buy this when I get the chance. Thanks for this review!!!

That's most probably a cookie problem on your PC. Try the "cookie cleanup procedure" which you will find on this website. Also clicking here (on the main page near the bottom) might do the trick: Afterwards, restart your browser!

You are in. Welcome! -
Those are the only sidewheelers I know of myself. It's actually a shame there are not more of them existing in Lego form as I think they are remarkable ships. Maybe we should do a contest one day in which people have to construct sidewheelers :-)

We are still experiencing a problem during certain hours of the day which is under investigation by our provider. But since the search function/active topics doesn't seem to be the problem, it has been turned on again.
