  1. High Res Picture of the Star Wars Advent Calender 2011 posted by our member Grogall link
  2. Seems it's still a bit too big. Currently it's 1.042px × 1.041px while we only allow up to 800px. Also the picture looks very grainy and not that sharp... don't know how that happened.
  3. After a year of building Erdbeereis has finished his massive Caribbean Fortress. Have a look at all the details and the interior of this mighty redcoat stronghold. Link to discussion
  4. Please follow the link in my signature. The max picture width we allow is 800px.
  5. Amazing entry all round! To me it looks like that D2C set we all want LEGO to produce.
  6. Winter is over, spring is in the air, and we've switched to our brand new spring graphics made by our very own Hinckley Discussion thread
  7. I just made an official thread for the new spring graphics, so I'll close this one.
  8. Dear members, Winter is over and we present our brand new spring graphs made by our amazing Hinckley Personally I love the new graphics because they make me feel happy! Let us know what you think. (Should you notice bugs or have remarks for improvement, please also let us know so we can address them)
  9. You are so right Sandy! I searched for 'composite' in this thread but didn't find it (it was written as multi-up). Again proof that my memory is fading fast after a few days...
  10. Doc, should you stumble on some amazing deal you can still let me know as I could pick it up at your house after the event (I'll soon have my company car with fuel cars ). But anyway, my LEGO budget is pretty limited these days...
  11. Sandy, could you quote that post? I recall that photoshopping a background wouldn't be OK, but don't recall that about composite shots.
  12. You won't need to look at the winter skin for much longer Topic closed.
  13. We'll switch it for you every so often, just wait and see
  14. Thanks for this review!! I love the grey hairpiece as it comes close to a wig (it it intended to be a wig? I assume it's not). Also it's nice to have the redcoat officer Frontpaged on Eurobricks and poll added.
  15. Our new member gatorzip02 brings us a review for 4193 London Escape. Check it out in our Pirates forum.
  16. If I would have had this ship during my youth I could have played with it for hours and days. It looks like one mighty evil pirate vessel with a high playability level. As a matter of fact, it looks more evil and wicked than any other Pirate ship LEGO produced so far. Now, being more a builder than someone who 'plays' with LEGO I like this ship for it's many useful new parts and awesome figures. A must buy for any pirate fan and of course for a Classic-Pirates.com Ambassador!
  17. Fantastic work on the Arc! Noting about it is boring, texture in the walls, great details, great building techniques for the inner arc ceiling, etc. Love it
  18. Seems like you have some nice sets coming your way Access granted!
  19. Happy B-day Rufus! I'll buy you a beer in Windsor
  20. Aha, a fellow LEGO dad You are most welcome in our reviewers academy. Access granted!
  21. A little question for my understanding. Why do you not want discussion in the separate ship threads? Wouldn't that be the most ideal place to discuss a ship or ask questions about a particular ship? Some nice discussions might get going I think if people could post in the individual index threads. But maybe there a good underlying reason for doing it this way, that's why I'm asking
  22. One more for your index featuring the Prins Willim replica. I took these pictures only a few months before the ship burned so even though they are not all fantastic quality I found them worthwhile to share.
  23. NOTE: This thread should be used for indexing purposes only. All discussion can be done in this thread. I have visited this ship 1 time but that day it was closed so I could go inside. I'm still posting the pics I took from the outside because this beatiful replica ship is now gone (it burned ). However, there is good news (RNW - 3 November 2009): Here is the official page for the ship on the VOC website (Dutch only!), and here is the Wikipedia article. Two weird guys walking to the ship! Did they burn it??? Just joking, because these 2 guys love ships and would never hurt one! Some pictures from the Internet:
  24. You are most welcome! Yesterday I had a call with CGH and Pally. We'll have a rather strict schedule for Wednesday so we can visit as much the things we want to see on just one day. I can share our detailed schedule for the Wednesday when available (Pally is working it all out including the metro/train connections we need to take). But no matter when you arrive on Wednesday you can jump in at any time during the day and join us.
