  1. Very soon there will appear a new pinned topic containing all that info for booking the hotelroom (that's why I unpinned all the 'old' event threads). Actually, the topic is already there but you can't see it yet
  2. Fantastic review guys! Are detailed instructions included on how to motorize this train using power functions? Any link? I'd like to understand where the power box and IR receiver are to be placed and if this will mess with the looks or playability of this train.
  3. Amazing entry! I love the colors, overall look, details, ... Makes me think of the Medieval Village in NinjaGO style If this were a set it would be my first NinjaGO set!
  4. I'm sure there is! Glad you are coming
  5. Why would you prefer that? The drawback to that approach is that a lot of money needs to go to one member (international transfer?) and he needs to pay everything with his visa/mastercard for all of us at checkout (and seems most of the UK members will not stay at the hotel). Instead of sending our money to a member, why not directly do it with the hotel? Less dependencies, less complex, ... This means you only need to stay one night (2nd of June) in a B&B (or something else), right? From Friday onwards (3rd) you can just move to the hotel so we are all at the same place.
  6. Then he'll think twice next time he makes a 'joke'. Granted!
  7. Yes, you are right about that. And we'll just make sure that next years event (Billund) will be before end of May 2012 so we can use the same pass!
  8. I'm not yet sure how many days we'll be in LEGOland. Maybe safer to book them when we are there? Unless Ras has a clear view?
  9. Nooooooooo That sucks Kim... damn... just now that we seem to have found a hotel. IMPORTANT: I just called with Superkalle and we are gonna go for the hotel number 1 (Sunningdale Park). It's really in a nice environment, still close to the park and not too expensive. Details will soon follow (how to do payment, etc.) so stay tuned! As KimT can't come and Holodoc's son won't come along (confirmed to me by the Doc) it means: 6 twin rooms, 2 single rooms and something for the Superkalle family (1 room with double bed and 1 twin room?)
  10. This one seems perfect! 8x twin rooms available = 16 persons Let's see what we need: Single room: -> no problem Legostein 1-5 Single room: -> no problem Sir Norman Ray 1-5 3 beds room: -> 3 persons for twin room CopMike 1-5 KimT 1-5 Ras 74 1-5 3 beds room: -> another 3 persons for twin room (so 6 in total now) Christian 1-5 Pretzel 2-5 Quarryman 1-5 4 beds room: -> What kind of room do you prefer for your family? Superkalle + 3 2-5 4 beds room: -> another 4 persons for twin room (so 10 in total now) Bonaparte 31-5 Captain Green Hair 31-5 Pally +1 31-5 4 beds room: -> another 4 persons for twin room (so 14 in total now) Aredhel 1-5 Holodoc +1 1-5 Peppermint_M 1-5 In conclusion, we need: So 7 twin rooms, 2 single rooms and something for your family Superkalle (1 with double bed and 1 twin room)?
  11. Great, thanks! There is one Youth Hotel nearby and I called them a few days ago but they are fully booked. I guess hotels is not a problem, but they have to be affordable (I've seen some crazy prices).
  12. I'd be happy to refund you. Can you have them do the search for an affordable hotel or B&B where we can all stay?
  13. Thanks for giving me my new title
  14. Granted! Granted, and welcome at Eurobricks!
  15. I gave the GO to post this (via email). In general I'm interested to see if people find iPhone apps related with LEGO useful. Are there any apps missing that could help a LEGO fan?
  16. Yes, LEGO sets would always be limited to a certain size, however, the Eifel Tower, Taj Mahal and London Bridge (all D2C sets) were not really that small. It doesn't necessarily need to be big as there are also a lot of examples of smaller sized D2C sets.
  17. If this comes down to us having to rent something ourselves (let's wait with that conclusion till Ras reports back) them maybe we can still group ourselves as much as possible and stay in 3 or 4 bed and breakfast hotels. Raassssss, where are you?
  18. Oh, didn't remember that reply from Erdbeereis. Indeed, it''s confusing in light of my response. Let me try to clear things up: When voting I'd like people to compare apples to apples as much as possible, so you can touch up the picture by playing around with it for improving contrast, brighter/darker, clean up the background, etc. Only thing that I'd don't want is that someone goes all the way to make it look like a LEGO box (box art style) because a number of contestants will not have such skills giving their entry a possible disadvantage during voting. I'm referring only to the 6 pictures which you post in your entry thread, you can still link to Flickr for more pictures and there you can do whatever you want. Hope this clarifies and sorry for any confusion.
  19. That's a long lunch you are having
  20. Details? Red epaulets? Backpacks included? Muskets included?
  21. Very nice work I really like the footsoldier and the noble a lot!
  22. Single shot per picture and no photo shop box art style for the six picture that are posted in the entry thread. I want all contestants to have an equal chance in the votes based on their entry and not on their photo editing skills.
  23. Maybe we can all spread over a number of 'bed and breakfasts' that are very close to each other in Windsor. Here's a list I found when surfing around: http://www.bedandbreakfast-directory.co.uk/uploads/estate/html/to-Windsor.htm None of them can take us all, but they are in the same area I think. That's one option I can think of.
  24. Ras, can you give an overview of the hotels which you contacted already and for each a view on room availability and distance to the park? This info will be needed in order to avoid doing this investigation twice. Isn't there a LEGOLand hotel in Windsor like there is in Billund?
  25. Very impressive entry! I'm also looking forward to see more pictures and all the details of this MOC.
