  1. Your original picture was a .jpg. So somewhere along this process of resizing and cropping you must have saved it as .bmp.
  2. Nice comic! A very happy Birthday Aredhel!
  3. I think for this pics you best use that photo resize tutorial I gave you in that other thread. These are too big for my screen and I have a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels.
  4. Ok, we are almost there. To more things you need to look at and you've mastered how to post good pictures. Firstly, make sure they are not too big. Certainly not bigger that 800x600 pixels. Here are 2 manuals to help you: By ApophisV: How to resize a large pic By MisterPhes: How to perform a batch image resize Secondly, about the picture taking process: - Make sure the pictures are focused on the object, not the background. In the above picture, the object is blurry. Start by increasing the distance between the object and the camera. - Make sure you have good light. Taking pictures outsite in the garden with daylight is best if you don't have the right light in the house.
  5. Hi Xin! Welcome at Eurobricks!! I've been in Singapore 3 times for work at Singtel. Nice and clean state/city.
  6. Ok, so next lesson: Deeplinks Right now we can't see your pictures because your gallery is not yet moderated. This can take some time. By using deeplinks, you can show us the pictures right now in this thread. Here's explained what you must do: How to "Deeplink"
  7. I just looked for a review of this set via the search function. And I was happy to discover this excellent review. Thanks Alex for making this. I recently got this set as part of a bigger collection I bought on eBay. Now I plan to build it one of these days. And this review is the perfect way to get me warmed up.
  8. Seems this one is missing ;-) 5978 Sphinx secret surprise review
  9. Yesterday I watched "Escape from Sobibor". It's based on a true story of people escaping from a WW2 concentration camp.
  10. I wish you good luck with your quest ;-) Do you want me to search for the original prices and then look for the sets on Bricklink or Ebay? Everything is possible! For the right prize I will even bring them personally to your house and make a dance :-P
  11. Most impressive! I've seen the ship before in your BS gallery. The guns and some of the other details on the outside deck are inventive. The entire ship looks very accurate. Nobody should ever be insulted when you make a historical accurate ship. History is how it is. You can't change that ;-)
  12. Happy Birthday !!!
  13. Indeed. How could I forget those 8-| These were released in my dark ages, but I'm buying them now. I recently acquires the Pharaoh's Forbidden Ruins and Sphinx Secret Surprise. And since Playmo also plans a sphinx and temple, we'll be able to do a nice comparison with the Lego versions. I once said that the Lego and Playmobil management should be switched... Is it bad to say something like that? :-$ But that was before the Indy Theme...
  14. So, you have found some of these hull pieces? Indeed. Pietje, the link to your brickshelf gallery is not working?
  15. I don't have a scanner to scan the sail, but I do have Paint Shop Pro. Here is a version of your scan where I removed the blue paint.
  16. And here is a tutorial to help you upload images to Brickshelf. You first need to make an account before you can do that. Please try this first and don't start topics all over the forum for asking help with uploading pictures and avatars ;-)
  17. Welcome at Eurobricks! If you explain the problem you are having, then I'll do my best to help.
  18. Thanks Mr. T. Then I'm very much looking forward to your entry. You've created some high expectations now ;-) Contest ON!
  19. I've asked permission to the good Lord Vader to re-open this Playmobil related thread just in this case. He agreed and I've promised I'll keep a personal eye on this thread (so no kids do spamming here >:-( ). I'm a big fan of history and Egyptian history is very high in my list. I really would like to see pictures of these Playmobil sets. So Brickster, please post them here when they are available. Maybe they'll inspire me to make some Egyptian Lego MOCs. I don't know if we should hope for an Egyptian Lego Theme, but some Egyptian minifg accessories from one of the Lego customizers would be nice. Anyway, Lego just released the Indy Lost Tomb set which is an Egyptian set. So we have no reason to complain :-D
  20. I've been mostly reading the chapters that cover the period from 1670-1830. But I plan to read it entirely. However this will take time because it's tick book and is written by professors, so for a non-native English speaker like myself it doesn't read very fast.
  21. Thats annoying indeed. I wish it were possible to only close a poll, but not the thread (I don't like closing threads). Anyway, please stop voting.
  22. I don't think this exists already. We do have What are your favourite books/novels? I'm a big reader. Currently I'm reading 3 books (1 novel for in the train and the 2 others at home). - The Napoleonic Wars - Gunther Rothenberg - The oxford Illustrated history of the Royal Navy - My current novel: The secret of Napoleon (Javier Sierra).
  23. It was before my time on Eurobricks, but maybe it has something to do with the the subject of this thread ;-) I'm just guessing....
  24. Then you came to the right place! I would love to see some of your work discussed in our Minifig Customization Workshop.
  25. I'm wondering what cup that must be... probably C :-D Anyway, I'm supposed to move threads from the (now hidden) Your Own Creations forum to the other forums, but I always start looking at all the MOCs. So I'm not making fast progress but it's more fun like this.
