  1. When the frigate L'Orient was originally constructed, it looked like this: Now it has returned to the dock where it was constructed and is receiving some updates: It got a capstan on the gundeck: The anchor is now attached in a correct way: Also rope is changed and added at different places on this frigate (thanks ZCerberus and Captain Green Hair for inventing some great techniques): It has a new figurehead (thanks Captain Green Hair!):
  2. It's good to have you here Steve! Have fun...
  3. Welcome at Eurobricks!
  4. Hello Damien! Welcome here on Eurobricks. I'm very bad in french...
  5. I finished and posted my entry :-)
  6. So, Lady's and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, here's my entry: The sidewheeler "La Gloire" build by the empire of France can run both on steam and sail. It is a small but fast ship that can be used for a variety of naval tasks. It's built in a black and white color scheme with a bit of brown. Here we see the ship on a secret mission for the emperor somewhere near the North Pole. * Special thanks to Legeaux who's ship 'Guerre de Roue' was a big inspiration. The design of the sidewheels is based on his brilliant ship. ==> MAJ.com Gallery: All the pictures <== Feedback is appreciated in the Pimp your IMPT ship discussion thread.
  7. James Horner - Zorro's theme (incredible filmmusic *wub* )
  8. Impressive Captain! Did you have to buy a lot of those brown pieces?
  9. His username is "wend" and he's put his msn address on the French forum (jsvfr@hotmail.com) which might be the same as his emai address. Feel free to contact him and invite to our discussion.
  10. Thanks! And now you've made me curious... Thanks ;-)
  11. A Merry Christmas to all the wonderful members of my favorite community !!!
  12. Oh, I can tell you a few stories... Stauder asked to interview me some time ago. He even asked if I received the questions which I told him I never received :-| After that, complete radio silence... Stauder, stay of the drugs boy, they are messing with your brain :-P That being said, it's always fun to read another Hinckley interview.
  13. Somethings I change the form of Lego parts by heating them with a hair dryer. I think in this case, heating the part will help changing the shape.
  14. Very well done! *wub* When you look at his from a distance you see an very well build MOC. But when when you look at all the details you just fall in love with this MOC. You are a very creative thinker SlyOwl!
  15. We do have a name for the fortress. The one the creator gave is Fort Carpaccio. I agree with Mr. Whipstick that it's sad when someone spend days and hours building a MOC, but are rushing the picture taking part. The right background (outdoor even for this one) and better light would have done much more justice to this MOC.
  16. Here's a MOC I discovered on a French Lego forum. The pics are not of the highest quality, but good enough to show this wonderful fortress. More pictures (WIP) <-- Not yet public
  17. I added some extra info to the first post to make things more clear.
  18. The hull from the 7416 Emperors ship is idential to the one from the IMTP ship, only the color is different. So that's allowed !!! Cap'n Greenhair, maybe you can change the first post a bit to make clear that the color of the hull doesn't matter. Make it clear that also people who don't own the IMTP but can participate when they own the right hull piece. Maybe that's not clear enough now. Also you can add this link which contains a list of sets that contain the hull that's needed for this contest: List of sets containing Boat Bow Brick 6 x 6 x 1 It's a long list of 31 sets, so a lot of members should be able to participate this contest.
  19. I've been waiting for this contest to start! I just started building the winning entry my entry *sweet*
  20. These are some of the best you've produced Mr. Norrington. It's nice to see this improvement in your work. And I'm happy you've returned after your break ;-)
  21. I very much like the design of this torso. Only the color of the belt would have been better when it was black iso brown. The print quality and application method has some room for improvement ;-)
  22. *wub* *wub* *wub* Without any doubt this is the best Lego painting you've made so far. And I really like the way you've made the smoke. Keep them coming please ;-)
  23. Well done Andreas. I didn't see this painting before. Your Lego version is a close match to the painting. This battle caused the death of one of Napoleons best Marshals (Marshal Lannes)
  24. Most of my older customs are American Civil war figs. Now that the Minifig Customization Workshop is launched, I'll soon show some new work. (Answering an old unanswered question is a perfect way to bring an old topic back *sweet* )
