By the way. here is a glimt of how it will be( i hope) this is two sections put together. number 2 and 3. in real life i buildt most of section 6 but have no pic of that yet. the battery with four cannons is The Prince' battery . And Col Whipstick, i do not fear anyone, but better be prepared for everything . but Bonaparte is a H*ll of a enemy . ;-)

this is how its going to be. the doors should not be big and beutiful but smaller and stronger. i looked at the gate doors fro the 6090 set but they look too big for me. at least at the moment. as the doors now are facing inwards they also have the hinges on the inside. so the enemy cant destroy them from the outside. there is also a better way for the defender to block of the entire gate from the inside now. If you look closely you can see a little hole in the wall just outside the door. from within the wall (will make an opening later defenders can shoot out those holes, while they are too small to dromt grenades into. This is how it will look with door s open. a secret way out?? hmm wont tell YOU that :-D :-D

Yes this is for Decastio. this fortress will replace the big black fort on Battle island. Will be sort of a diamond shaped fort with six bastions and about 35 cannons. The reason that i think about letting the door open inwards is that if we imagine an enemyattacking the fort and reach all the way to the door in before retreating a bit they can do lots of damage to the doors like setting fire or it or just place huge amounts of rubble outside so the gates cant be opened. if the doors then open inward they could open the gates a bit and put out a fire or remove rubble so they can use the gate again. and if i set the gate inside the wall or in the middle i can make fire down from above in small holes in the wall or fro the side like the germans used in their ww2 fortress'

Im making maps and plans for a new fortress now. and have started the building. the fort will be on 6 48x48 plates and builddt so that each plate can be separatet from the other ones( for transportation etc) imnow wondering how to build the gate and the doors. made two versions where there is two doors on the outside of the wall and two on the inside and this where the gatedoors is placed more or lessin the middle of the wall. and opening inwards. i cant agree with my selves on whats the best solution Thunder

Of course a country like sweden(or any other country that had the money) could have bought her. but why?? The only two countrys that this ship meant something for was UK and France. for other countrys it would be a nice ship, but nothing more than they could show from their own land. We could buy it to Norway and show how big the enemy ships could have been when we fight them with our gunboats ( many of the Danish boats was Norwegian) b ut again, why bother, spending money on something that historical ment nothing to us . and we too had little money after the war.

Nice. very nice. like the color. if lego start making this kind of color i they will have a clear vision of the parts in the pirate conflict. like this better than having a uniform of british or french or spain or voc etc if they made a east india uniform then someone would dislike that they do that since they like/dislike the eastindia company but with just a color then this new fraction will be frpm no land. made a mlcad pic of a soldier . in what i think is the colors you used. Think he look very good :)

I say let them come . let them come. i form my square and at about 50 meters they get a wall of lead from one of my lines. ;-) Nice cavallery Woody64. like your uniforms . do you have any plans of how large you will make the cavallery? or will you just leet it grow and grow?

Okay YOU try to make them wear rag-hats. i toold you all that they are a wild bunch :-D they are scouts, not soldiers or Jaegers. thats why they dint have any kind of uniform. they voulenteer for service for the Crown but use their own rifle and their own clothes and equipment. they are forestmen and dressed like what they like. at least thats what i thougth of. i was thinking of making a recon force but by making them scouts and not soldiers i finally get a way of using my forestmen :) i know thay look abit like castle age but i found that better than just leave them in a dark box somewere :-$ Thunder

I dont know mr Phes. this is a virtual moc now. and more of "what can i make out of that baseplate" so i think i will try to improve it and make it better . like adding things as i learn how to build them. but i cant say for sure what i would do . Thunder

Because i had 8 forestmen :-D i dont have that many minifigs except from pirates or soldiers. and wantet someone that wasnt either of them. And to mr oDDerFisken : i need some more wheels to do that. as for now i only have three field guns. but more will come of both cannons and perhaps a

Hi folks. last time i counted my men i had 147 imperial guards (all the men wiht blue eupalettes. ) 40 imperial soldiers 37 impeial sildiers(sailors) and 8 scouts . i used forestmen as scouts , thay are a wild buch , can operate allone or in small groups. and i also have some marines that i use onboard my naval ships. the fortress is called the black fortress just because it was made on sigth by a very dark (or black) kind of stone. I think my little army has grwon a bit now. im starting to set them up in regiments or companys, i dont know what to call them yet. the Imperial guards regiment must be a royal one since they have blue eupalettes. and the imperial soldiers sailors are a artillery regiment. i also have a scouting party made of hunters and forestmen. they are famous for taking out enemy officers and ambushing , and Scouting to find the enemy :) Just wanted to show them to you :-D *proud* Its not as big as mr Bonaparte but he wont get an easy victory if he comes X-D

Hehe mr Phes. i can do many things in my sleep. after i went to bed i remember that i had to make an answer to a mail and had to log on again. thats why i was answering so much :-D The name Fort Paradise is from two places. 1: when i was a child i saw the western El Dorado and my father told me that it was the spanish word for Paradise. (this was back in 1990 i think) and i belived for many years that thats what the name means., 2: when the Norsemen settled on Greenland they might give her that name to attract more poeple. and i thought that calling the fortress Paradise would attract more Imperial guards than calling it fort Smith or something like that :-D Thunder PS thanks for all the kind words :)

I dont know if i am going go buildt in real life. but if i do i think that cannons arent the biggest problem *sweet* but dont know i have a plan of making at least a battery on my raised baseplate. so who knows. Its supposed to be flat mr Phes. Fortress in that times had to be made as low as posible to avoid hits from guns . hehe. But i see your point. i might make a sort if tower or something like that to it. but not today. Now im going to sleep.. have a nice night everyone :) Thunder

sure my dear Captain. thats the good thing with mlcad. just click on a brick and i can change colors at once :-D will try to make different colors on the fort.

Based very loose on the Eldorado Fortress. jsut something i made during this weekend here on my pc. its not finished , missing some mlcadfiles to mae the cannons look good and some lanterns and soldiers. Also need a better gun platform. I buildt this just to see what i can do with a raised baseplate like the one from Eldorado.

Hi Folks. im trying to made a mlcad moc with some cannons. but i miss some files to have a complete cannon. Does anyone have these files? 1-4ring5.dat 1-4rin12.dat 1-4con3.dat 1-4con13.dat t04o1429.dat t04o1538.dat and also i miss a file for the arch 1x6 : box3u2p.dat. If anyone have these i would be very happy if i could get them from you. have tried the whole weekend to find them but ithout any luck, nothing to find on Ldraw page or anywere else. tried to download the cannon ( BL number 518) but get only parts of the cannon up on MLcad Greetings Thunder
