I did keep a list but then I showed it to my mate who I purchased it off and he said that he had swapped some bits when he built the Williams F1 so my list is not 100% accurate. I will type this up and post it once I get a chance. I don't have any magic LEGO shrinking abilities, that blue brick is one of these: http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Office-Supplies/Stationery/Pencils/Pencil-Cases/LGL320

I was lucky enough to get set 8461 (Williams F1 racer) the other week from a good friend of mine who wanted to sell it, after leaving it built on my shelf for a week I decided I wanted to see if a B or C model existed for it, my search turned up this building guide: http://www.brickshel...ery.cgi?f=47708 by Nathanaël Kuipers (http://www.nkubate.com/) These are for the Silver Champion which is the same set just in a different color and with a couple of different pieces. Come Saturday morning and I spent a coupe of hours pulling the Williams F1 to pieces, sorting the pieces and starting the building process. As I was building this off the screen of my tablet at times I struggled to tell where pieces had to go, and with getting some sizes right. As I was building it based on a different set I also had to switch the colours in a few places, this meant going backwards and forwards with the building guide to make sure I have enough of each colour to keep it looking uniform. It took me about 8 hours all up to build this, it would have been much quicker if I didn't have to swap the colours over and search for pieces. Overall I had to use about 20 pieces from my own collection as these were missing from the set I had, the only major pieces I had to use that don't match are the two black panels above the rear wheels, I am looking at ordering these in the right colour in the future to make it look better. This was my first time building a C or D model and it was quite enjoyable and challenging. http://mizibunktechn...on-with-pf.html I recently was lucky enough to purchase this set off a friend, it has been well looked after and looks great on display. The first mod I wanted to make was to add a PF motor to drive the gear box, this would allow the fake V8 engine to run at various speeds depending on which gear it was in. Below are some photos and a video of the end result. Video is on my blog:

The other day while looking at my collection I thought it might be a good idea to mount the claw off 42006 on to 8043, last night I sat down and had a bit of a look at the best way to do this. Here is the end result. The problem I have is that when the claw gets to the fully closed position it bounces around as can be seen in the video on my blog, what is an easy way to fix this? A clutch gear somewhere in the drive line for the claw? Video on my blog: http://mizibunktechn...from-42006.html
