[WIP] RC (not IR) Racecar
Trawler Man replied to z3_2drive's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
None of these pictures are loading, and neither is brickshelf. It'd be great to actually be able see this WIP.- 63 replies

I think it looks great, so far. I like the color you decided to go with, for it's different from the usual black or red a lot of people use. The brush guard is cool, but would look better in black, i think. Also, i really like the tires you bought - but i don't care for them on this particular MoC. Then again, it could be the LBG detail you added to the rims - i liked the wheels more before that was done. Overall a great look, though.

Jeep Wrangler by Jackson (Rus)

This is so badass. I love the whole thing. Thanks for posting. -
I'm glad i got one when i did. Granted, i'd love to own another for the added blue parts, but that's where i'd stop. Unfortunately, i am all too familiar with the reseller / ebay scalper business. I have been collecting records and DVD / Blu-ray steelbooks for a long time. The majority of steelbooks i own only ever got a maximum print run between 1500 and 4000 copies, so i know what it's like to be forced to act quick. I don't appreciate statements like "Everybody had enough time to get one" - for it's quite simply not true, at all. Not everyone has the same amount of spare time, or even the option to just go to a Lego store whenever they feel like it. I live 2 hours away from a Lego Store, no matter which way i drive. TRU is no different, for they are located in the same cities. A lot of people have kids and jobs and other responsibilities which prevent them from acting as "quickly" as these damn resellers make them feel they should.

Great work, love the red Bronco. -
That really does look great, Efferman. Packin' that 8th Gen. Chevy Suburban vibe. Which wheels / tires are those? They look nice.

I lol'ed. When the dark cat gets scared and does that sideways / backwards leap...i nearly choke out, laughing so hard. Brilliant vid, thank you.

Same here. Would love to see something cool, in terms of body. 1969-1972 Chevy K5 Blazer, maybe? -

Cool, looking great. -
They do. I just don't want to mess them up, switching out tires. The white "bezel" on the custom 41999 rims were scratched before i even opened the box, so i imagine they aren't very resilient to heavy use.

Thank you! It does look fantastic. Here you go, Tubby. They are currently $5.87 for a set of two from this seller via Amazon. They shipped very fast. They are foam filled, yes. The rubber is so soft, that this deformation happens anyway, which i think looks awesome. They are insanely grippy and make a perfect fit for the 44772 rim. http://www.amazon.co...0?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Those are cool, but they aren't the tires shown on my pictures above.

They look great. I just put a set of Losi Rock Claws on all black rims on my 41999. Personally, i love it. I can't wait to stick 'em on my 9398, when i get it and build it tomorrow. Here's a picture with them on, and there's two more in spoiler bar.

Yeah, that's not at all confusing. Is this for real? -
Micro Crawler
Trawler Man replied to VKTechnic's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Look good, man. I like the idea of a mini crawler! If you can pull it off in terms of scale and available parts, i think a Generation 1 ('66-'77) or 2 ('78-'79) Ford Bronco would be awesome. -
I received these Team Losi "Rock Claw" RC tires today, as well as an extra set of the 44772 rims in black. They are supposed to go on the 9398 i'm getting tomorrow, but i was impatient. :D

I decided to call the closest Lego store, and the guy tells me he'd been told to expect more 41999's to come in within the next few weeks. I really hope the people who missed out the first time around will get their sets, this time.

This was posted by "BRICKS_R_KIDS @ Bricklink" I'm not sure how much truth there is to this, but i will most definitely be looking out for it...
