  1. Modulars have historically been great value no matter what flawed metric you use. This rumored set containing 2899 pieces for 229.99 euros (using the flawed piece count metric) is better value that 92% of the sets available now. I'll buy the next modular even if it was $1,000. #StopTheWhining #InflationIsReal
  2. $1 for that hat. Man LEGO makes it hard to be a fan at times.
  3. I know nothing about D&D; but do we have a chance of getting a castle?
  4. What are you going to do with this huge model?
  5. ^ Not my MOC, and yes it has an full interior. This MOC is not mine either... XLs are starting to show up.
  6. I would argue that the castle is easier to add onto than Ninjago City, but I also admit that it is more difficult than a modular building. Maybe I spoke too soon...
  7. It surprised me that no one has yet XL'd this thing with real bricks. It makes me think that there are not as many Castle fans as we may hope. Just look at the modular line for a clear contrast; multiple XL versions pop up in a month tops. My 10305 is still sealed sitting in my storage area as I lack the desire to break it open. I think it may be that I don't want to be let down...
  8. ^ I second mvLego. The inefficiency and difficulty of diving the Trofast drawers make them undesirable. I have both Trofast (left) and Sterilight (right) hybrid solution in my Lego room. I greatly regret going with Trofast for my technic collection. My lame attempt at dividing the drawers. Just look at all the wasted space! Compared to dividing Sterilite: This was the first (and last) time I purchased anything from Ikea.
  9. ^ I think 75% of scalpers are hard core fans, so hiding lists is not a priority to me. Some of my favorites: https://www.lego.com/en-us/pick-and-build/pick-a-brick?query=6335192%2C+6335631%2C+6335666%2C+6125711%2C+6037507%2C+6099581%2C+6227249%2C+6295400%2C+6280160%2C+6327807%2C+4611883%2C+6289361%2C+6268960%2C+6227901%2C+6327809%2C++6296951%2C+6331084%2C+6301362%2C6363145%2C+6343565%2C+6022359&page=1&includeOutOfStock=true
  10. A few add-on are starting to show up on Instagram. This one is my favorite! https://www.instagram.com/thebittenbrick/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y%3D&fbclid=IwAR1oRNpV-xOmMTSDZ5nGm-Wk35eLSVvPMP0wpgxPCyKmH3rGtqwTa9k4WXE
  11. Modular Integrated Landscaping System, or MILS for short, is a system that describes how to build modular landscapes.
  12. Is it just me, or are the falcon parts in stock? I read your whole post and yes, they are still in stock!
  13. That would be great, but will never happen. Be happy with the one fig ever few series.
  14. I returned an amazon order to kohl's yesterday and got a free $5 card. It was going to expire so I had to find something to buy. Ten minutes of feeling the packages and I got what I wanted. At least the knights in 10305 don't look like this:
  15. I place a pink or red piece as a substitution and move forward with the build. I create a bricklink wanted list for each set. I usually do not order right away as usually the pieces will turn up.
  16. I think I prefer The Castle in the Forest over 10305. I definitely prefer two Forest over 10305. https://brickset.com/sets/910001-1/Castle-in-the-Forest
  17. I stand corrected. I still would not get your hopes up. Of the fifty one Idea sets we have three sets with custom molds: One in Sonic the Hedgehog - Green Four in Winnie the Pooh Six in 123 Sesame Street
  18. Is there a president for new molds for ideas? Don't get your hopes up.
  19. My kids are all grown and I still "for his kids". My kids loved castle Kingdoms line, especially King's Castle (7946). When they MOC'd, it was usually scenes from Hobbit or other Fantasies set in days gone by. I suspect my kids are the exception, not the norm, as just about every used lot I purchase is filled with Star Wars. It is so rare to find anything castle. But that also could be attributed to the great castle drought from 2014-2021.
  20. I tried to manage my expectations, but failed. It may help you to: Place this set next to a set like Ninjago City to see how small this thing is compared to other high end sets. (Significantly cheaper NC I might add.) This set lacks the creativity that most of the modular building have. Place the set next to two police modulars. The detail and density (inside and facade) of a modular is what I was expecting in this 90th anniversary set. The figs are good! I do think it looks nice, just not as good as I was dreaming of. This is also a great parts pack if you can swallow the price.
