I pulled the prices off from bricklink. Since they all have original boxes and instructions I would expect to be within 10% of the lowest complete set price on bricklink. If you want to buy multiple I would be more flexible with the price.

I regret selling mine a few years back. I picked it up at a garage sale for $200, and flipped it for $500. I will NEVER sell a set unless I have double again.

I paid $400 USD for this. Sorry for the late reply. I just finished assembling all these sets. Another 4 sets where mixed in with other sets. I need to sell off 1/2 of these to pay for the find. This was good, but not as good as my latest find #188.

Does Walmart match % sales and buy on get one sales? I know Target does not match buy one get one...

I would buy them all up. you can easily double your money. Heck, I will buy a full box of minifigures 1 from you if you can get them. I missed out on the first series.

Here is the haul. Show them what I just got off from craigslist (see above). Your parents will go for craigslist if you can show them how cheap you can get lego. I think $50 is too high, talk them down.

If cost is not that much of an issue, buy duplicates of the above to use for parts. If cost is an issue, then take the modular houses apart!

A week back I posted a wanted add on a local website. Today I just picked up about 150-200 pounds of 80s and 90s LEGO. Can't beat the price, FREE!

Where the $$ is made is in buying used, then selling on bricklink for 10-100x your cost. However, money can be made in buying sets. Pieces are 5-10c, depending on the set, on bricklink they sell for 8-15c. Then there are the more rare pieces and minifigs that go for much more. The margin is small, but if you have cheap labor to do the sorting, and you capitalize on the sales, it can work. I have a store that I sell primarily complete Star Wars sets that I get from garage sales and such. This helps pay for this expensive past time.

Many times after seeing sets listed on craigslist, ebay and such, I spend click after click checking the prices to see if it is a bargin. I looked online and even reccomended this to brickset, but I could not find anything that takes set numbers and spits out prices. I spend an hour during lunch today and threw together this script. It takes in set numbers and spits out some basic details including bl prices. It is a work in progress, as there is still a bug where the prices are not always correct. But it's a start. Anybody have tools they would be willing to share?

I voted no, kids get enough glamorized violence via video games and such. For this very reason I am attempting to steer my kids into the city themes over Star-Wars.
