Thanks everyone for the feedback, more grey ? there's the road and tram tracks. I should have the stickers done in the next 10 hours....must go and earn the cash first ! Fingers crossed if I can make more in this new sub-theme of my own, I wonder if the tracks will still join together eh ? The hardest thing at the moment is the big signs on top of the building....the window strip sticker is designed. Keep watching everyone !

Actually my feeling would lean towards a roadhouse or mini-mart style garage/service station....would make sense judging by the vehicles in this years city sub-theme of Great Vehicles, plus forest police/fire and finally mining....more rural than urban (even the medical centre is a small size that would be found in rural areas).

Thanks 'jonwil', I'm currently looking for paint tin label images for Berger....found a few but they need colourising. Oop's....sorry 'JopieK' I missed your comments, thank you for them....oh, yeah thanks for the link...pity or is it lucky I don't have a credit card any more !

Well, the computer has come in handy for my stickers going on this one, a lot of hard work painting the Berger Paints signage....oops, gave it away....you'll have to wait till tomorrow when I buy a fresh packet of photo sticker paper. Thanks for the comment 'DrNightmare'.

Thanks 'AJ', actually if this one works well for me....I might expand it down the track so to speak ! I wouldn't mind building an old Coles variety store, a butcher and even a shoe shop to boot...sorry another pun. Any ideas and suggestions, I just love creating town stuff !

Excellent creation 'Cunctator', I like the king size bed and the sock on the floor.....nice touch ! Great furniture in the store and in the living areas of the building.....plus I the windows and window drapery (brick-built curtains). Brick On 'Cunctator' !

B-OV-26B G'day everyone, I was looking for something to inspire me yesterday and found it in an old book on Australian history and a further hunt at the Trove library website pump me along even more. So here is a tease image, still some interior work and of course my favourite thing.....stickers - oh, you are going to love those when I'm finished. Here is one of images I have used to get inspiration and ideas from More to come tomorrow, any suggestions or questions, etc, ?

City garage eh ? OMG, it could be that truck stop I voted for two years ago.....but will it be an exclusive....I guess it's too early to tell....great, I've started "Studs-On-Bricks" with the older 7993....though I guess at the other end of town it could sit there right ? Judging by the box size, it's going to be big....fingers crossed it's not full of air.

"The Dark Ages" - How long were you away from Lego?
lightningtiger replied to Duck's topic in General LEGO Discussion
For the tiger, I fell into the dark ages at age 14, 1982 and came back to the light of the brick in 2008 at age 40. That is a long time, I thank my son for wanting Lego....and he still does....fingers crossed he doesn't fall into darkness. -
Excellent vig 'Yatkuu', I'll bet they are waiting for M.J. to rock up singing and doing the Moonwalk ! Brick On.....but watch out for those Zombies....especially that one breaking out of the vault.

Thanks for the feedback 'HighFlyer' and 'Artifex'....great hearing from both of you again. Anyway, that street light might be moved to in front of the 7993 service station next to a modified city corner bus stop, as a post box might just go in front of the bank to help with the colour break-up......good spotting 'Artifex'....thanks. I'll try and do more work today on it, shortly I will starting working again on my Danish town, plus some refresh work on New Mannum. Keep on watching everyone !

The Gowings Building - My version of a Grand Department Store
lightningtiger replied to cossack225's topic in LEGO Town
AWESOME structure 'cossack225', thanks for posting it....showing what us Aussie's can build, but please more photos if possible. The tiger might try an old retail store down the track but it will not be a tall as that......just yours is a MEGA-MOC ! Excellent work ' cossack225 ' and Brick On ! -
Excellent piece of train building there 'Steinkopf', reminds me of a green version of our Red Hen's we had in Adelaide thirty years ago. Brick On 'Steinkopf' !

Great vig 'paanjang16', but does it work better than picking up a girl in a nightclub.....that's where I met my wife....er, I'm quite happily married....(help ! ) Brick On and get lucky eh ? 'paanjang16' !

Since I have an Aussie town built, partly built Danish one, I need a Lego City style town so here we go the beginning of "Studs-On-Bricks". The three of them will be part of my next Railshow display. Here we see our friendly Lego City Bank with new pavement around it, scored the inspiration from the Lego catalogue in the city section. So I had to redesign the tyre fitting bay, but hey it works even better in this location and it's on a turntable, plus you can store the jack handle on the post so when it's not in use no one walks into it ! (I'm thinking battery stand too now....oh, the battery style from good old 377 ) Suggestions, ideas, comments, etc., welcome....keep on watching everyone ! Edit - this town will not have Lego road plates except if they are in a set, all buildings will be actual sets produced by Lego though add-on's will be MOC's. The space on the right of the bank will be for the new medical centre later in the year.

Thanks for the review 'SilentMode', aw, ain't it a cute set....man, if this doesn't sell I'll eat my wife's cooking again ! Excellent design, plenty of accessories....oh, what these lipsticks and hair accessories will do for peoples GE's eh.....beauty counters ! All that's missing is a clothes shop and shoe store which also sells handbags ! (Yeah, I go....actually dragged to the shops by the wife....help me ! ) Can't wait to read your next review 'SilentMode' and Review On !
