Thanks 'Kristel' and 'Alasdair', now I also thought about filling those corners too.....but it has perfect shape, even corners....if I fill in - uneven. Plus this is just a council office.....somewhere to pay your rates, file paperwork to get approvals and report lost doggies ! There is usually four city sets per year which are exclusives.....I would say the museum and the set with Chase McCain in it....bet you TRU with it's TRU tax on top....but we shall see eh ? Time for me to hunt down one of my old informants....if I can !

I'll build the council office first......most likely a modern design single level structure or maybe not I'm not sure I'll try a few things out. Keep watching......and suggesting too !

Remember 'LEGO-MANIA', for city sets we the AFOL are not the intended target in set size or marketing wise. Designers at Lego are given the order to make sets different sizes to fit chosen price points....hence the reason why some sets will have something lame in them because of cost cutting so then it's up to us AFOL's to modify if we wish.....it's all part of our art form....again off-topic switch OFF. On-topic.....no prices yet ? Plus I'm wondering which sets will be exclusives ?

Remember folks Lego likes to tease all of us.....it creates a lot of internet chat, etc.,.....free promotion or advertising for the theme eh ? One set and we are all talking about the pros and cons of this new theme.....I wonder how many people poured cold water on Star Wars back in 1999 if any ?

I totally agree, look carefully at many city torso's - items such as radios, spanners, safety equipment are printed on them....I have no issue with these AWESOME new police minifigs at all !

We can not judge a whole new theme based on one set and a selection of minifigs.....only once we have seen all the products for this new theme can we truly say if it's good or bad.

Roof is done.... Any suggestions......actually tomorrow I must look at layout this with the Octan mini shop with some road plates.....which are no longer need for New Mannum....hence the reason behind this side project.....make use of what I have. Keep watching !

The tiger is taking a short break from New Mannum for a few more days while I'm doing a small side project Lego city style village......so some suggestions of what next to go in my town are very, very welcome.

I can see in respect to the image of the real 'The Bat' why Lego have some blue in it....look carefully...even though it's black, it has a shimmer/gloss on the surface that has a blueish tint to it. In any case I still want this set.....easy buys next year - just four SH sets (cool, more money for city, turtles and Lone Ranger).

You must not forget those two words....PRICE POINT. Parents and grand-parents watch the cash that they splash out on toys, etc.,. Also the size of the set is to do with it fitting in with other sets....within reason of course.......and saying the 2006 hospital was better....well that's your opinion (off-topic swtich off). I'm a little puzzled, that images of the great vehicles haven't popped up or shouldn't I.....the original place where the images were found have pulled them.

Very nice work so far 'deen', those microfigs have come in handy eh ? I like the lime green stair case and the red sliding doors.....of which how will they be operated once completed ? Keep going and Brick On !
