    Because it's cheap that's why LOL actually the shape of the old spanner/screwdriver plus the hammer design look similar to old railway maintenance tools.

    Okay, I'm a bit tired of reading oh the gas station is too small.......here in Oz we have Woolworths Caltex filling stations which are just bigger enough to have two staff and five customers in total in so yeah not all gas stations are like huge truck stops.

    Nice interior, sadly it's not possible to include things like kitchens and bathrooms all the time but I guess that's what us AFOLs are good for right ?

    From what I have seen so far I like it, a bit of a throw back to the pet shop set but it's an easy fit with that one. Dam, I've been holding off on the last two modulars due to cash flow issues.......oh, I might bite the bullet next year.

    Ah, the nerdy girl she did look like a librarian too........hmm, I wonder if the collectable series are leads into future new sets or theme ideas ?

    Totally awesome modular building, it's all in the interior detailing I love ! Brick On 'jalemac34' !

    The tuning workshop has highly detailed vehicles, that caravan office, fancy workshop and 7 minifigs so I can see this set costing about 120 bucks Aussie.

    I actually like the 8 wide vehicles they look more realistic for display purposes, I do realise that the 6 wides suit city layouts better but some have too long wheel bases.

    Now I read the dislike for the shop in the service station set.....well, simply add to it I will. Add a few 8x16 base plates on the ends and build on.

    Mind blown........just then saw that the cool workshop set is from the TV series ? Why does that set look awesome and perfect while the other LCA sets look just good down to crappy ? Well, I'm sold on all four auto sets.......they can join the donut shop set from this year. Only disappointment is the the guy riding the motorcycle hasn't got a new torso befitting that cool new bike colour. Also now we have an orange juice brand in Lego City........maybe a supermarket might not be far off especially of one is featured in LCA ? Actually I dig the service station itself, yes simple but a lot are just a few pumps and a little shop to pay for your fuel so I like it reminds me of some of my older servo designs.

    Street sweeper and ice cream van are totally awesome.......the bulldozer set is another 4+ set......pass. Where's though automotive theme city sets.......I wonder what the service station will look like. It will be our luck we'll need to wait to a toy fair early next year to see......I hope not.

    The hair salon is the best of the bunch, the hospital has only a few good things......it's Art Deco inspired exterior and those coloured bricks......yeah, Art Deco !

    Where to start.......well from I've seen so far only the Safari 4x4, alpine air mail plane and maybe the police station are worth the money. Sadly......oh, boy Ninjago style play copters.......yeah kind of defeats the purpose of building something eh ? I pray that the ice cream van, bulldozer, tune up workshop and service station are better because right now 2020 might be a bust year for Lego. I'm afraid they have let a TV network turn city into a Licenced theme with the network telling Lego what to produce.

    I guess we'll see first images about the time of the Black Friday sales start........selected retailers used to get a few early releases for the sale.

    If many future Lego city sets are tied to the TV series then seeing what appears in the show might give a clue to what be coming out over the next 12 months.

    Congrats on being front paged and I love the design.......reminds me in a way of the walking tanks from 2012 cartoon take on World Of The Worlds set in 1914 in a steam punk world.

    The simple phrase is Shut Up & Take My Money........might be the best Ideas design yet. So much detail is just awesome I love it. I never watched the show though but it is a TV icon it's worth the money for sure.
