Forgive if my question sounds stupid. The problem is, I never owned any Lego ship (unforgiveable, I know ), so I’m a real noob when it comes to these things. I’m amazed by the new Imperial Flagship and I really want to buy it, however I’m a pirates fan and I want to convert it into a pirate ship (yeah, I could buy Brickbeard’s Bounty, but this one is much better). So, the question is: do the sails in the Brickbeard’s Bounty set and in the Imperial Flagship set have the same size and shape? Oh yeah, I forgot about the "new silver". Changes things a little bit...and I forgot about the gold thing (it'd downplay the SPECIAL GOLD PIECES!!1 you get, like Satellite Jack pointed out).. still a bland set IMO, the only things that save it being the new parts and the Hewkii Mahri shoulder blades (those thing are neat, too bad they're kind of rare).Shakar

Variety I guess? I don't know, ask that to the guys who thought about making Takanuva white and silver.. Speaking of Takanuva, anyone thinks he's a pretty weak set? Sure, he's got the new parts in white, but he has no recolours, the weapons are wrong so is his colour scheme. He almost seems like an afterthought to me. Shakar

We still don't know know if it's true or not, but according to that text (the one about the 12 impulses, the 3 titans+vehicles, etc..I'm sure you guys remember it, otherwise I'll dig up the topic if you want) there are going to be 12 small sets and 6 cansiter sets (which will come out in summer). I'm starting to think that this text is right....Anyway, I was talking about chibi Lewa. That guy is my favourite Toa set ever, I'd love to have an updated version of him. Shakar

If it's true that the Winter 2010 line up is solely composed of the 6 Stars, then it's not such a bad thing AFAIC. It allows me to save up money for other stuff, including some old sets I wanted to get (most of them for MOCing purposes). I know I'll get at least Tahu and the Yellow Rahkshi (just writing the words "yellow" and "Rahkshi" into the same sentence makes me squee like a fangirl), they're lovely and with a few mods can be turned into some amazing revamps ( I'd just change the limbs around a little, but think of it, the Rahkshi sets always had some weird proportions anyway- short body, short arms, looooong legs..and the Toa Olda were kinda chibi looking too). Gresh mainly appeals me due to his recoloured weapons and helmet, Skrall only for the Kopaka blade, Vezok still not too hot for, and I couldn't care less for Takanuva (worst executed of the bunch IMO, and has no recoloured pieces). I sure hope summer brings us a Lewa revamp...PLUS ROD MIRU OLDA FTW! And we may see Mata green again...and the sexy axe...*faints* Shakar

Let's do this: we'll change every single Bionicle word so they include "sex" in them. Our work is easier than you may think, considering the ridiculous amount of words ending in X.Jokes aside, Takanuva raises two question: first off, since he appears to be a big set, will he be a Titan set, or will a vehicle / beast accompany him? And which will his colour scheme? I think he'll be white and gold, since he cured himsef from the shadow leech. And I think he'll be canister sized: when he got out of Karda Nui didn't he shrink down to his original size? Maybe the set will feature an Ussanui revamp, although I personally don't like that vehicle very much. Yeah I know, I'm probably taking this list too seriously, but it just intrigues me so much. Really though, completing all the teams may be impossible, but a revamp of the 6 Toa Mata would be great., Seriously, this list is awesome. Don't really know about the shield, but canister MN has no problems wielding the sword titan MN has. Afterall, Ackar's sword is almost the same design and he looks fine wielding it.Shakar

OMG, where? It's 50 Euro in Italy sadly. I'll still try to get him however, whether priced down or not.Also, not sure I can post this, but check it. There are some design choices I don't agree with and I think he went a bit overboard with the black (though I appreciate the effort to represent the original colour scheme in the large model- love the black lower arms just like on canister ver. Mata Nui), but it does look better than the Lego's model. And I gotta say: HE'S AS TALL AS KARDAS? Definetely makes me want to get him. YES! I'm looking foward to that fight! Your previous two reviews were excellent, I'd really appreciate if you reviewed the big guy himself.Shakar

Hey, thanks for the replies guys. Didn't except them, seriously. Hey, great idea! Didn't really think of that. That would be wonderful. Well, thank you but I mainly wanted to know about the figure (sorry if I wasn't clear). I already knew he had good parts and I don't have many problems as far as stickers are concerned but.. does he look any good? Well, I'll try to explain why I don't like him:1)Don't like the helmet shape. Why you ask? Can't find a reason- I just dislike it. 2)The weapon handles are way too long. 3)Too short: the use of the Metru legs on his legs is a big mistake IMO. Since he's pretty much an Inika (not that there's anything wrong with that, as far as I'm concerned), this makes him too stocky looking for my tastes. 4)The feet. They're too huge. Well, those reasons do feel a bit weak but, sadly, I can't explain further. I guess he comes of as looking too short-stocky-big footed looking to me. His design, IMO, seems rather non-innovative (aside for the Inika shoulder as chest armour- but even in that case, I already used that in a lot of my MOCS...not to mention Vezon back in 2006 already made use of that) compared to the other 2009 canister sets (And Skrall's and Strakk's body, Vorox's tail, Gresh's whole design, Kiina's girly torso). Zip is right, besides the gold he is....boring. Shakar

Eh, what is Velox? Not even Bricklink recognizes it.Tarix is one of the most short lived sets I ever bought. I thought he would have been pretty cool looking, but when I finished building him I realized how bad looking he was: I hated his helmet, he was too short and stocky, he needed more Mata blue, the way he held his weapons was weird..I quickly destroyed him. If you bought him for the pieces, however, you should be pretty happy: the Mata blue pieces, the golden peices..oh well, guess you know which pieces he has if you own him. You should have bought Stronius IMO. He's standing in front of me and boy do I love him. My favourite 2009 set so far, with Mata Nui and Gresh coming close second(s?). I gave him the extra Skrall shield I have and he looks awesome. Love his helmet, love his armour (great use of the mace halves on the legs), love his club...he makes the Skrall look megablocking ridiculous. Yes, he's that badass. Shame he doesn't show up in the movie... Yes, do a Kiina review please! I haven't seen any good review of her yet, and I'm still thinking whether getting her or not... aw shoot, I'll most likely get anyway - Lego needs to be encouraged in doing girly looking sets and Kiina sure is girly. Don't care about the mediocre Vastus, Gresh's awesomeness makes him useless for my collection. But still, do a Kiina review. Blue sets used to rank highly in the canister gang for me (love Takadox and Hahli- Faxon= ), but this is slowly decreasing..Vamprah was awesome but Gali Mistake-a sucked. Tarix sucked but Kiina looks promising. Also, I think the colour schemes should be more innovative. What happened to the GITD blue in Takadox and Nocturn? What happened to the incredible dark blue+lime green combo? I loved those. Kiina brought back the much needed light blue (clawed light blue Inika feet FTW!) but I wanna see something new......orange and dark blue anyone? EDIT: Almost forgot. Does anyone recommend me Tuma? I wanted to get him to complete my Skrall Empire sets (well, I own Atakus but....destroyed. Eh, I hate Av Matoran designs), but the reviews I read of him weren't that...enthusiastic about him. Cool. Pisses me off that he's 50$ (and, most likely, 50 Euro). He doesn't have many more pieces than Takanuva, does he? I was hoping he'd be 30$, if that was the price I would've bought him. But he's overpriced IMO. I'll probably wait for a sale next year- Takanuva's priced down at 21 Euro on S@H at the moment. Shakar

At the moment, not sure what to make out of the voices. Mata Nui is perfect, Ackar is a bit too old IMO, Berix sounds like...comic relief material if you ask me, Kiina seems a bit too hyperactive but I definitely like her voice, I imagined Gresh's voice to be a bit deeper but the age is spot on. Guess we can't comment much on these..I'm pretty sure I'll like them more once I see the whole film. I really like Bye Bye Babylon, love the combination of rock and Arabian style. Still trying to understand the meaning of the lyrics, however. Shakar

Yeah, I was very surprised when I received my box. I thought "Wow, a chrome minifig and no packaging? At all? Now that's cheap..." I was rather disappointed. I'm soo gonna get at least one of these if they ever come out in the rest of Europe. 13 Euro for 25 heads, 15 of them being unique to that set, is an amazing deal. And I really want one of the dice pieces.Not too interested in the dwarf battlepack, since I built 11 custom dwarfs myself. But those beards are so useful...not to mention the shields...oh and the short legs! Looks like I'll have to buy one. On the Orc battlepack...lovely! I must get a pair of those.
