Yeah, I kinda got the "Bionicle feel" in those previews, too. Anyway, I got Stringer and Voltix on the mail today. They're pretty much as I excepted them to be (awesome), the only thing I was really surprised about was Stringer's zamor sphere colour. I thought they'd reuse the opaque blue spheres from the days of the Toa Inika, but it's actually solid blue..and I guess it's the same for Stormer. Now that I think of it, Vapour had solid blue spheres too, so I should have excpted it I guess.

Wow, so Legion of Darkness is actually a flashback story, and..Black Phantom is the main bad guy, not Speeda Demon! Von Ness and BP may meet for the first time here. What if it this somehow ties in the origin of their apparent alliance?

On the weapons descriptions- did you notice how they all have an humorous style, except Core Hunter's? His are described in a dead serious manner. Like AIDS serious.

I agree, those animations are quite awesome- Bulk and Stormer are my favourite ones. They added sound now too, didn't they? Unless my computer doesn't play sound on the Breakout 1 character animations. Good thing they didn't add random Hero cores on villains this time. So people on the Message Board won't go "ZOMG voltixs got an hero core cuz he used to be a hero then he and black phantom fell in protodermis and they fused thats why voltix has black phantoms face!!!!111". Ok, I overdid it with the speech, but you get me.

Breakout 2 sets are available on S@H Europe! I should've waited to buy Stringer and Voltix on Ebay, but I'm getting 2 GB Olympics minifigure as presents so I can't complain.

That's the same stuff that was written on Wikipedia, it's been there for a few months now. The two titles first appeared on IMDB. Which site did you get this info from? You can mention websites here on Eurobricks. Anyway, I'm fearing that site you found just copy/pasted the Wikipedia stuff, like MANY sites do. That info has yet to be confirmed true.

Well, you spoilered the review so you might as well do it now. : P I don't think XT4 is that popular- most agree with you, he's a boring set mostly worth getting for the torso. Personally, he's the summer set I'm least interested in, though I'm still going to get him for completition sake/enemy to pair with Nex/small torso. As for the other parts...well he's a cheap and easy way to get that cool buzzsaw piece. And he has 2 black 6M shells, which are really rare.

So, here's the best photo I managed to take so far. The difference between the greens of the blades is more noticeable IRL, I don't think the photo does it proper justice. Compared to official lime, it's not a perfect match (it's brighter).

^Do it, I'm curious. So I got my PaB order today, and the spare black/green Breez katana (from Black Phantom's mace) I ordered had a lime green straight blade instead of a bright green one. Did anyone have this problem in their BP set?

I love that little torso, though the neck could have been a module longer. Still, it opens lots of opportunities for small scale MOCs, without resorting to awkward custom torsos or the horrible, blocky Avtoran/Agori ones. XT4 is cool, aside from the tubing sticking out of his belly. I like Nex, though his weapon is really lacking (it suits is inventor/engineer character, however). I would've liked some sort of buzzsaw, as a throwback to Nex 2.0..

Hmmm. I hope the sets show up on European countries too. S@H is my only way to get them, since freaking Italy for some reason starts selling Lego Summer sets in stores in September- that was the case since I started to exist on this planet. Even the animators think poor Nex should have orange hands. Bulk having his 1.0 gun is very interesting- makes me wonder if the prototype set wielded some revamped version of it. What did they do to Nex's laser gun, BTW? It looks smaller and wrist mounted, which is far from a bad thing.

Actually, Nex and Bulk were briefly shown in the Stringer-Stormer ad, before Voltix and SD broke out. Bulk was guarding SD’s cell along Rocka, who clearly was in his movie form (gold hands and all). Bulk and Nex were slightly modified too, meaning movie models of them DO exist, at the very least..

Excellent mod _shaddow_! I'll be sure to use it on my Stringer, and I shall give due credit if I ever bing myself to post my HF mods. @Kadabra: good! We're missing clear shots of Nex and XT4. Jang posted his review of Demon, good. I'll post some comments here later.

@DraikNova Ditto. I was kinda disappointed to see no Hex Shield recolours in Summer. I'm not sure about tr. purple/tr. yellow/clear since those colours are respectively nonexistent/extremely rare/nonexistent in HF, but I can see 2013 Stormer being equipped with a Tr. Medium Blue or Tr. Dark Blue (I'm using Bricklink names, BTW) shield. While all these discussions are interesting, I fear we're going off topic. Peraphs we should make a "Future Hero Factory sets Predictions and Discussion" or something to that effect.

WD was 34.99 Euro on S@H, at least for Italy. And he was about the same price in stores too. Thankfully, Stormer's and Speeda Demon's prices sorta make up for it- 19.99 Euro and 29.99 Euro respectively (German S@H prices are equal to European ones, except 9.99 Euro small sets). 25 Euro Stormer would've been ridiculous.

Well, Stormer XL's design is much more flexible than the FL IMO, since it relies 99,9% on the new building system. Shoulder width can be adjusted with some different bulding techniques, and legs can pretty much look however you like and still be sturdy thanks to the new friction joints. FL body, also, is too lanky for Von Nebula- he's a more bulky figure.

We're not even sure if they're willing to cross the 29,99/34,99 Dollars/Euro line (Witch Doctor/Speeda Demon's prices, depending where you live)- that is, they farthest they went since 2011. The Dropship in 2010 was the most expensive HF set yet, but that obviously didn't sell well since they haven't tried something like it in the followong lines. I'd fine if Von Nebula (assuming he comes back- not that I'm against it) were a 20 Euro set. Stormer XL, BP, Rocka XL and Fire Lord look plenty imposing and towering even next to 13 Euro figures. I love WItch Doctor and Kardas, but they're ridiculously huge for HF standards.

They might have some truth on them, yeah. Like "Core Drainer" and "Stormer Lgd". Well, Von Nebula and 13 Euro Surge I would welcome with open arms- 13 Euro sets bring a wider number of pieces and thus more complicated designs compared to 9 Euro figures, and since Surge was a 9 Euro sets this year.. Actually, I'd like if the places were switched: Surge-Evo-Nex-Stringer as 13 Euro sets (or 3 medium size figures and a XL), while Furno-Breez-Rocka-Bulk-Stormer as 9 Euro sets. As for the XL figure, it could be anyone (except Rocka and Stormer of course)- hey, even a Furno XL wouldn't be so bad.

Thanks to Bizzy's pics, I can say the Conquistador is a must have for me. I never got a gold Euro armour, either way the printed details are beautiful and very versatile. Cool head, too. Really curious about the Evil Bot head (under the helmet), too..looks very cool.

I'm definitely going to get Santa, the Actor and the Fairy. Possibly the Conquistador, the Pirate and the Alien. Aside for the DJ's headphones, the res doesn't interest me that much.
