  1. Oh yeah I remember that Goriz. My guess is that he was supposed to be released in summer 2013 as the big bad, but his set was axed. Explains why we got only 7 sets.
  2. Too bad there's no JB..really tempted to buy something, but I think I'll wait. Actually, JB is here: http://shop.lego.com/en-IT/JAW-Beast-vs-STORMER-44016. Found on Recommended Products.
  3. Luckily sets in Italy are the same prices as those ones from the German site that leaked the list back in September. How odd Jaw Beast's missing. Anyway, I'll wait for them to appear on Amazon with marked down prices.
  4. Wait.. are those 8M? Seems more likely that they'd reuse the 6M size from Jetbug. 8M shells have pretty much disappeared after 2011.
  5. I know it sounds a bit obvious, but I just realized how the Summer sets packaging art is going to look like: no more urban backgrounds, we're going into the nest. So, we're getting those neat crystal caves as background theme. So, a bluish palette in Winter, while green is going to dominate in Summer. Reminds me of 2008 BIONICLE.
  6. Whoops sorry, I was too hasty in reading your post. Maybe there's a new piece similar to the dino tail base, a long curved piece with an axle connection on one end and a pin hole on the other, so you can stick one of the new spider legs in.
  7. No way they can be those pieces. The dino tail base connects via pin while the Queen fingers/spikes attach to ball sockets, so they must attach via axles or handle bars.
  8. I'm used to see Bulk's helmet as a giant visor, due to the eyes on the Glatorian head being hard to notice. So I won't mind if his minifig form works like Aanchir said. Actually, I prefer the look, it makes him more robotic and "brutal" so to speak.
  9. Ikkad55's idea is brilliant and works perfectly on paper. I can't believe I forgot the Ultrabuilds. We'd get some always appreciated tr. green from the bad guys, and given their new look some silver from the heroes. I heard this year's figures sold well so there might be hope. We should find out soon, Summer sets always pop up around Christmas.
  10. Just rewatched the trailer, and Flyer Beast's wings look basically the same as the set. So, I don't think the Queen is using the same Ben 10 giant spikes.
  11. Welp, I feel like an idiot now. I have no clue how the wings are built now, those pieces look pretty small. Yes, they might be FB wings I guess. But I hope they try something different for a large set. Still, nice pieces as fingers/claws.
  12. Oh, I can finally see how the Queen's wings work. I assumed they used the same pieces the Spider Tribe sets use as legs from the very start.. but they seemed too short. Now I can see Spinlyn clearly, the new leg pieces aren't one piece, the section with clip and the claw being two existing pieces we know well. The new piece has a pin on one end and a hole on the other. That means those pieces are MODULAR! Each wing "finger" on the Beast Queen is made by three spider legs connected together, with a claw at the end. And since it's a handle bar connection, that means they can attach to cladding in the same way the "feathers" from the Chi Ultrabuild birds did. And you can use them as fingers too. AND, either way, you can adjust their length. One of 2014's best new parts!
  13. I think the CCBS and the Mixel joints are supposed to be meant for different things. CCBS is a system on its own, designed as the definitive, universal system to create buildable action figures. Mixels seems more like a support for classic System, to be used when the standard ball joints would be too big- an extension/evolution of the bricks with in-built ball joints introduced (IIRC) in 2007. Mixel pieces fuse with System far better than the classic ball joint system, this is why Lego decided to push them so much. So, I don't think Mixels will ever replace ball joints. They exist for different purposes.
  14. The Bats still look awful IMO, but the Spiders, and especially the Scorpions, look fantastic.g And I agree, the outpost looks very neat. I never thought I'd see HF pieces on a building- shows how much versatile the building system is! Unfortunately those seem to be the old 6M shells from Jetbug.. I'd love if they were 5M.
  15. Sets show up on S@H Europe a few days after Christmas. It was on December 27th last year.
  16. Just to know, the hairpieces are compatible with classic minifigs, just like in Friends..right?
  17. Indeed, I said "main antagonist" because Dragon Bolt and Waspix are females. I'd hardly call Dragon Bolt a main antagonist, she was just a slightly harder enemy to defeat. The main antagonist of Brain Attack is the Brains creator. And..she's called Queen in the game trailer, so I don't see why I should call her male.
  18. So the Queen's being hyped as the final boss in the trailer, so I guess she indeed is this year's biggest Beast. I still think she could've been more impressive looking, right now she's got a long tall body with short limbs. At least though, it's nice to finally see in HF a female main antagonist.
  19. Halfway through the video, there's a blue hand (Surge obviously) holding what appears to be a black/dark grey one..it might be Bulk's, but his silver is very bright and shiny in the animated episodes. Stringer? I wouldn't get my hopes up, but it's something to consider. Aanchir beat me to a point I wanted to write: at least, it should be pretty easy to make palette swaps of other Machines. But still, I'm sad there's not going to be a special printed shell for each Hero.
  20. Stringer ranks highly on my list, his Breakout version was just awesome. It's a shame because all they had to do was recolouring two pieces (orange/black arm, orange/black leg) and making two more helmets. I hope they return in 2015 but being absent for two years in a row doesn't bode well for them. On the upper side, I guess we can finally get a better idea on the summer sets. The Machines are supposed to be 9, so: 1)Evo Walker 2)Jet M. 3)Freeze M. 4)Stealth M. 5)XL M. 6)Breeze Walker 7)Surge Machine 8)The small mech Rocka's piloting at the beginning 9)Something for Bulk I guess. 9 Machines, 7 Heroes. Such cruel irony.
  21. I get what you mean, Aanchir, the way the leg is bent is kind of unnatural. That's clearly an arm though.. so it's a centaur-like mech, then? That's not impossible, but it bumps up the price I guess. Anyway, it looks like a good set and I'm happy Stringer is finally return- EDIT: Well, I guess Stringer and Nex are dead. Thanks to VBBN BTW.
  22. Is Surge's mech really four legged? To me it looks like a standard humanoid: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7445/11227924835_043e7c7544_b.jpg Notice the right forearm with a printed shell, just like the 3 mid size Winter mechs. And VBBN, really nice MOC there! It reminds me of 7316 from Life on Mars. Was that your inspiration?
  23. "Eagle axe" head in silver, yes!
  24. Oh I'd like to see proof for that.
  25. Definitely not. I can already see some pieces that EXLM doesn't include: the yellow bones, the top cannon half, the orange cockpit (it's lime in EXLM), the small double C piece (which is vital to the build of the Walker) and some other things.
