Settlement: Spudkirk, Avestia, Corrington
Spud The Viking replied to Spud The Viking's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Spudkirk Library, small education. -
Deep within a place of learning, two theological scholars have a wee discussion. Corrington prides herself on allowing free thought and free speech. As so, the library was being used by a member of Oleon's Order of the Faith and a minister from the Regenerated Church from Corrington, neither being the dominant religion in Corrington.

[COR-FB] Town Hall, Queenston

Great build - it really sets the tone for the settlement! I think the vidiyo cases would look excellent with stickers to make them look like windows themselves. -
Shipwrights Guild Hall (WIPs, feedback, and advice)
Spud The Viking replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I understand brick-built hulls may seem daunting, but I think they are not as tricky as you might think (and the shape and result will definitely be worth the effort)! My recent ship had a brick-built hull and I am by no means an expert at shipbuilding. -

Another great build for Port Woodhouse! I really love the overall proportions of the build, I do like your taller builds but I find the square builds more aesthetically appealing! I live just over an hour from the United Bricks shop and yet I do not own any of their figures! -

Nice wee build, I am surprised his hat stayed on! I like the tree but the cannon seems a bit off, with the back of the gun carriage.- 9 replies

[GoC] The Covenanter - 28-gun New Terraman
Spud The Viking replied to Spud The Viking's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thank you! Yeah, the cabin is probably the roughest part, I changed it many times to get a good length and shape, so it probably less consistent with the overall ship. You may have to wait a while for the harbour - another three baseplates full of stuff and I have other stuff in the pipeline too Thanks Wellesley! I actually didn't know about the lower gunports, I'll have to keep that in mind! -

A nice wee build - I really appreciate a builder fleshing out lore/current affairs with the build! Lovely bench and palm tree! -
[GoC] The Covenanter - 28-gun New Terraman
Spud The Viking replied to Spud The Viking's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks! I agree - East Indiamen are definitely underrepresented on the Brick Seas! Thanks! If it was a smaller scale I would have done something more interesting with the water, but this looks nice for the size of the moc! -

Great use for the Duplo bricks, and the black border around the sky is a nice touch! -

Lovely little scene! I had forgotten about the foal piece. I presume the forum will erupt with new farms given the upcoming release of the new 4+ city sets! -
As Spudkirk was the centre of activity for Corrington these days, it was not uncommon to see larger ships come and go from the various harbours. However, one vessel caught the eye of many when it sailed towards the cliffside settlement. The Covenanter. A recently constructed New Terraman ready for transporting vast quantities of goods while offering decent armament, 28 guns to be precise. Although, it was often common to have the lower rear gun port without a gun to allow an extra way of loading cargo. She was ready to carry troops, supplies, and valuable goods across the seas. [COR-FB] Quartering In Spudkirk
Spud The Viking replied to evancelt's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
An interesting technique! I wonder how columns of them lined up would look. The build has some good part usage, I like the green roof and the brown window shutter works well as a door.- 10 replies
