  1. I wondered where those black cheese-slopes i was looking for went.....
  2. woahhh and i thought my £50 order from lego direct was a little bit too much to be spending on lego.... For the record the 6m pneumatic cylinders cost around £3.20 each before tax and u-joints, or propeller shafts as lego dub them cost around 80p... far cheaper than i could find on brickilink in sufficient quantities.....
  3. As a purist, i would feel bad about using modified or non lego elements in one of my mocs..... I've done it in the past, (home made (butchered) 2.5 stud cross axles) but only in situations where there were no viable lego solutions.. For me building lego is about the challenge of creating something using only the elements available within the lego palette, therefore using the non lego battery rather than re-engineering the model to resolve the performance issues detracts from it's validity, as it is no longer a pure lego creation.
  4. Also worth paying attention to their alignment in drivetrain applications too... i've snapped u-joints on my landrover truck trialler before now through not paying attention to their alignment.... alignment alignment alignment, i need to stop posting while i'm not paying full attention....
  5. nice..... i've seen 2wd enduro bikes and even 2wd mtbs but never one built from lego! but the head angle looks a little steep, though it can be tricky to get those liftarms to give the right angles sometimes....
  6. It performs well, certainly better than i thought it would powered by only 2 pf m motors!... What sorta gearing does it use and how much does it weigh in at?
  7. i've been watching this moc grow over on brickshelf..... It's gonna be a total beast when it's done, can't wait to see it finished.
  8. oooh nice work.. i've been playing around with turntables for portal hubs...
  9. Ingmar i checked out you progress on brickshelf, originally i thought the thread on the easyloader could be your inspiration but apparently not.. EPIC progress though, i thought it'd be a while before you updated again, the properly coloured trailer looks sweeeeeet.. EDIT- just noticed the timescale in the text in your op, still epic progress though!
  10. Looks rapid! My Land Rover Truck Trialler uses the same steering concept
  11. well that worked! thanks fellas...
  12. I'm using safari on mac os10.5, i tried clicking the link for a lxf file on someone's brickshelf and all i get is a page of code... how do i get the actual file??
  13. thanks for the rapid response.... unfortunately i'm using a mac, and my mouse only has "left click"........ hence i'm puzzled...
  14. Hey DLuders, i was wondering if you could help me out... i'm using safari on mac os10.5, i tried clicking the link for the lxf file and all i get is a page of code... how do i get the actual file?? anybody else know?
  15. Nice moc! I like the xerion and your build is a great model of it..
  16. After a long long period without any updates ditzj.de is back! a great source of inspiration for truck and crane models that we have previously mentioned here.... UPDATE!
  17. Nice... Barry/Barman's stuff is always top notch, i liked his work ever since the little unimog with the turntable hubs..
  18. ooooh boolean algebra......
  19. I love the seat's and the body styling... Epic stuff... as you could expect from an actual pro like Nathanael Kuipers.... Lego need to re-hire him!
  20. Just an update really, i've added front and rear winches and added to the roll cage at the front, also the land rover's now powered by 3 pf receivers to up the power going to the drive motors, as mentioned on this forum before.. The chassis remains unchanged bar a little strengthening. Oh and yeah, those LA brackets do grind the gears a little but the main problem i have is snapping uv joints... i'm down to my last one! Brickshelf File oh yeah and mods could you change the title to Truck Trial Land Rover please?.. the mistake's really bugging me now....
