  1. The way i see it, Model Team is defined by functional steering, detail, and scale, as above really. As for the Creator thing, the sets aren't as realistically proportioned as the Model Team (with the exception of the planes (which are all beautiful) and the supercars) and they just don't have the same feel to them, not a worthy successor really.... When i was i always loved Model team sets but could never afford any of them, as an adult i still can't! and chill out Rog!
  2. Loving the studlessness and the chromed out exhaust!
  3. It's worth mentioning they only provide a momentary output rather than a constant. Obviously meant for a gear change function or something similar....
  4. I meant i thought it was going to be a simpler downgeared motorised clock rather than your more impressive full mechanical function. It's a great moc, and worth keeping intact in your build area once finished, to keep track of the hours spent building!
  5. I'm looking forward to seeing this implemented in a model.....
  6. It says june or july on the frontpage... so he's nearly two months overdue! It's got some great trucks on there and some nice knuckleboom cranes too, all documented really well. btw efferman your job looks like fun! i'd like to do something in that field but i fear my BSc product design may not suffice.....
  7. so i'm not the only fan of ditzj.de!... when's he gonna start updating again?
  8. that thing is rapid....
  9. nice... i thought it was going to be motorised......
  10. Great moc, can't wait to see some of your solutions for things like the outriggers and boom..... btw i've heard the term dog-walk used in english to describe this type of steering,
  11. wicked mods...... exactly what i wanted to do once i could afford this set, particularly the full independent control of the functions, it gives it the function it should of had if price constraints weren't a concern for lego.
  12. Nice detailing and function, like an advanced, rc model team version pf 8868 air claw rig. Great use of the new style windscreen! i'd been thinking about using them myself in a similar scenario.
  13. An interesting comparison of the different wheels available, however i feel the test methodology for traction could be flawed, If the weight of the tyres and wheels effects the vehicle weight as it does, is the comparison fair? With the test vehicle being so light the effect is magnified, if the vehicle weight was greater the effect would be reduced.
  14. I like the use of the technic helmet, it'd be nice as part of an escort for a model team over-size load......
  15. DEATH TO MEGA BLOKS AND ALL WHO BUILD WITH THEM!
  16. Great style and detailing in 8 wide! The front wheel arches are really good, any chance of a "how it was done" shot?
  17. I love the orange chassis.... beautifully executed!
  18. i love the cab...... i like it's little brother made by ricecracker over on lugnuts too
  19. someone should send this beast after these crazy pyromaniacs
  20. uhhhh it was pretty late..... *clicks view*
  21. Interesting to see the breakdown of who's reading out there.... so who are the other 5 uk technic fans who responded?....
  22. Great review, Epic set.... I'm seriously jealous, can't wait 'til i can afford this beauty, i wish i could justify buying a second just for the parts!
  23. sorry, i just realised i forgot to credit cbt from brickshelf for the design of the rear pneumatic lift.....
  24. return to centre steering! if i'm honest they could do with being a little stronger to improve the function but it works...
