  1. That's the beaty of it! One of this MOC's highlights is thst there is so much detail cremmed into such a small space, just like a real ant. Very inovative building! OK, now if you want a really nitpicky comment to contemplate complete perfection, here it is; I think the antenae on the sides of the head make the head look to wide, it would be a little more realistic if you could somehow miraculously attach them to the top of the head (I know, that would be very difficult, it's just a thought) BTW, I am unfamiliar with that piece on the top of the thorax, is that bionicle (If so that's pretty darn small for a specialized bionicle piece)? So, is this guy a carpenter?
  2. Looks nice, but I'd like to see a little more work, mostly on the head. I don't like Bionicle much, but I love what you did with the claws! the Bionicle might be <insert that tiresome argument> and senceless but they can really make things look organic when you find the right usage. As for the head, the eyes have to be more defined, so I don't think using this bionical peice works too well here. I too agree that the lobster has the biggest moding potential, so why modify the crab or angler when it's already perfect? Keep up the good work, Ghoulrealm. *y* Remember, Lobsters are only bright red after being cooked, when they are alive in the ocean they are mostly black/dark brown.
  3. Thank you fo this interesting find, Christian. I thought TLG would abandon Harry this year, with the lack of stets last year, the lack news this year, and the huge abundance of new sets this year. After all, the 5th book is pretty sucky. I too think it is chunky compared to the previous Hogwarts sets but compared to the movie it's fine. Front Page, I say!
  4. As I assume you're directing this towards me, I do not like it "better than classic" but "just as good as classic", so their greatness is tied, equal, balanced, the same, etc.
  5. Thank you Jipay, Shaggie and DoubleT, and all the admins and mods who have made Eurobricks a great place to be! Congratulations! Thomas is our 1219th member counting the banned members. Our 1000th member including the banned ones is LEGOholic. Keep in mind, the count on the main page should be the currently registered members, not the banned ones.
  6. I agree with Asuka, so where's the "Yes, it is just as good as classic" option?
  7. Thank you for the nice picture, Legomilk! It makes no sence that two members of opposing armies at war would immerse themselves in a game of recreation together, but nice pieces.
  8. Welcome to our forums Klaus, and thank you for the extra details. If I were to buy one of these it would be the DeLorean, hands down. Although I'm not that into UCS scale stuff so I might not by it at all. I'm not sure what the story is with the modular buildings but they all look truly amazing. I love the detail on the bank. It would be almost unbelievable if Lego relased a building like that.
  9. Newer Low-tech Goodguy Warrior Viking King. 8-|
  10. Thank you for all your kind birthday wishes. :-$ Lego-wise I recieved Royal King's Castle and the new Fire Station. I might put up a review of the latter sometime soon, speak now or forever hold your peace.
  11. Well, after all those job cuts last year most of the production was outsourced to Mexico, so I don't think they will be 'importing' many sets anymore. All the rest is made in the Czech Republic.
  12. It would be probably good to write a little blurb on the Bad Kids and Lady groups too. Special abilities... (?)
  13. The battery for the LUL is inside the minifig torso and the wires run throught the arm and hand. The whole minifig is one big peice like a keychain. When you push the head down the lightsaber (or flashlight) lights up. No moding of MOCing capibilities, just fun.
  14. wtf :-D It looked like a fish to me too but then I realized it is a mango becuase this is an apple, this a pear, this is an orange. I trust Lugnet but it also could look like a papaya or passion fruit. X-D SUNTORY seems to only be a Japanese alcohol company.
  15. Those space sets looks horrible. But that can't mean much since that's the way ALL space sets look to me. 8-| Why are these sets so different (worse) than other previous ones? Futuristic ships are futuristic ships, it's all the same to me.
  16. That house is beautiful!!! TLG is finally learning something from those amazing BS mebers! I was planning on buying the creator house that's out now, but now that I see this baby, forget about it!!! Now, I wonder, this house is in perfect minifig scale, why does TLG love making all these great houses in Creator?!? If this set had the elusive female figure and a man or even a kid (wishfull thinking? That's what I just recently though about a Batman villian HQ, civian city sets, Alien Jedi MF, etc.) this could be (like) the best town/city set, like (like) EVER! This set even has a car in it, it's screaming for minifigs! Why make a car for playability if the set has no figures?!? |-/ Although there probably is no interior. *sad* And I almost forgot, as I said in the town thread, I love all these great realistic details TLG is now including, like gutters and liters! *y*
  17. If you want to stay stationary in the air to drop or pick up something/someone, observe/record data for a sustained period of time, or land or take off in tight spaces a chopper is your only resort.
  18. Wow. I'm seeing this as the best year for city. Ever. Finnaly some more great realistic touches, leaders/gutters and rear-veiw mirrors! Now we need doors on our cars and trucks. Although I thought Legomilk said that the train Station was going to be modern like the last 'World City' one, GCS (which looks absoulutley NOTHING like the real GCS (technically GCT)).
  19. I like the new Batman better. I'll probably want to get the Naboo fighter especially for the cool minifigs. The MMT looks nice and is a great brown parts pack but those two values are nowhere near to balancing out the surely high price. Hmm... I was almost sure that comment would be immediatley followed by a spontainious KKKHHHAAANNN!!!!! or KKKKIIIRRKKKK!!!!!
  20. Yes!!! I hoped TLG could do it although the odds were against it, but they did do it! A villain headquarters! The tank set looks much better than I expected. As for the chopper set the chopper itself looks OK, but I don't think Scarecrow would own a fancy vehicle for villainous means although a tan/brown biplane is a very wise and kind of cute choice. But it is very appropriate for crop dusting! X-D Although the biplane looks probably nice standing alone. Thank you DoubleT! About the new pictures, Batman, Space, Star Wars; the hastily executed croping job makes me think this is from that dealer's catalog, correct?
  21. Ahhg. A tank. How stupid. :-| But it might be great to transform into a military tank. Batman would need a sub before a tank. As Brain said, another version of the batmobile would be very welcome. And I agree with also Mister Brickster and phoinix, I would love a Gotham Bank, Police Department, or something really random like an HQ in an underground sewer purification place for Croc or Scarecrow. Something dark, dirty and gloomy, very urban. The alternate model for the UCS Batmobile is a surprisingly nice looking tumbler. ;-)
  22. The jagged edge is supposed to be there.
  23. Hmm, that dragon comes in 7017 Viking Catapult versus Nidhogg Dragon. The new dragon has much more black. I like this one better than the one in the new castle. The new one is like the Dino Attack/2010 dinos, basically one big ugly mold. It's problably very similar to this. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=HornBod Here is a small peek at the preliminary design of another 2007 dragon.
  24. Hmmmm........ I don't fancy the organization and I am unable to distinguish the difference between part I and II. I think the ships made by the same person should definitely be grouped together but it is debatable whether or not we need thumbnails or names of the ships. We have a small delema here boys. Aaawwwww, we need a Pirate Moderator. Perhaps Mister Phes could give this topic a temporary poll; which layout do you perfer, A. Tumbnails grouped under the names of the builders! B. A huge mass of Tumbnails! C. Tumbnails categoriezed by member/non-member builder or Pirate/Imperial command! D. The names of the ships grouped under the names of the builders! E. A huge mass of names! F. Names categoriezed by member/non-member builder or Pirate/Imperial command! G. It's all the same to me! H. I don't want a ship index period!
