Ah, I was observing a picture of the newer Snape torso just the other day, and I was thinking how nice it would look as a general historical figure. The newer one has much less purple and I think it looks a little better. :) The pirates look great, the guy to the far right could almost pass as an Imperial I suppose. I have just one suggestion - One should place the epaulets under the cape as it is not only more historically accurate, but prevents them from bending upwards as they do.

This is a very impressive ship, Mr. Doog! The life boats and the ladders spanning the height of the decks on both sides there are wonderful touches, but they seem to be positioned in the line of fire, are they not? :-P Also, The jibs and the spanker sail are a little small in size compared to the massive sprit sail and square rig arrangement. The size is great (that's a lot of yellow slopes...), and it definitely resembles the HMS Victory - The oldest naval vessel still in commission. :'-)

Sonix's Pirateship 36a, Swab's Sabre 35d Surely. Sonix's Pirate Ship Swab's Sabre Legott89's Piraten and Schiffe Happy indexing, Mr. Phred!

That's a very original idea, Mr. Dreamweb, good job. You are very welcome, Sean. X-D I have reason to believe that that was one of the first 8x8 vignettes ever deliberately created...I wonder what that merperson is holding there. Perhaps it is a lyre?

You've created another impetuous "build me some stuff" threads after your other two were locked? Mr. Skilz, perhaps you should go out on the internet and put in some effort in to finding a kraken someone has already made (and I assure you, there are many) yourself instead of hanging around here requesting a member to construct a new one for you to gaze upon. Additionally, making two topics on the same subject matter is unacceptable, please do not do this again. The Eurobricks search function provides you with a sufficient collection of Kraken links, as does a simple search on Brickshelf.com.

This was previously posted on our boards, around here. Merge?

The Eurobricks member who has submitted a post in this thread directly prior to the one I am currently writing hopefully is aware that both lieutenant colonel and lieutenant general are actual official military ranks, whereas grand moff is not. Additionally, he carries a quotation in his signature originally written by imminent filmmaker George Lucas for a fictitious being who carries the equally fictitious rank of moff and also happens to be depicted in this member's current choice of avatar. This fictitious character of science fiction connotation often is portrayed by British actor Michael Vivian Fyfe Pennington.

The member who has produced a post in this thread directly before I have uses a painting of the Duke of Wellington for his avatar, a photograph of John Lennon for his personal photo, and seems to hold a military rank of commissioned officer in the armies and most marine corps and air forces of the world, typically ranking above a Major and below a Colonel.

Hey, it's great you could join us here, Noddy! It is surprising you made your way here to this thread as well. Anyway, that sounds great, be sure to keep it up with the piratical LEGO building. I've been seeing a lot of your stuff around lately, primarily here and here.

Ahoy and welcome aboard, Mister Skilzz! It would be wonderful if you could clarify what you are trying to tell us here, as it looks I am not the only one who cannot figure out what you are requesting us to do. There is a quite useful compilation of ships and land-based MOCs in the Great Library of Honduras section which can be found here.

Hoorah! It's great you were able to find this thread without us PM'ing you, Mr. Ghoulrealm. :-P X-D I've been waiting over a year to see just a wee little bit more progress. It will be great when finished.........

I've found some more stuff that you guys might enjoy. This folder has some interesting stuff. Nice Imperial lighthouse establishment: Brickshelf member AlexEylar has many great piratical things including a Singaporean pirate port, a little hut fit for Tia Dalma, a caged galleon, and a second, larger ship sailing out of Singapore.

Wow, thank you, Emperor. Yes, I will produce more MOCs depicting The Age of Sail in the future. I'm glad you like it, Mr. Timento! Although the Imperial pawns look quite different from one another they don't look anything like the bishops, rooks, knights, or royalty. So, it's not too confusing.
-
Thank you all very much for the nice comments. Yes, I came up with it myself. Yes, if I had enough pirate pieces I would make all the Imperial pawns uniform. Yes, the bishops are modeled after real bishops (I was very close to making two little zucchetti with two violet blobs of clay). Thanks for adding my humble little creation to that index Mr. Phred. *y*

I apologize for the fairly bad quality pictures, they were taken hastily after dark, and that I will not be very responsive in this topic for a little while.

You've got a really neat idea there, perhaps you could expand upon it a little more. I like that town compartment piece you've inlaid in the wall, and the blue 1x1 slopes there. Could you please tell us what caused you to place those fence elements in, Mr. Cyryl? It's an interesting choice.

That's not at all what I saying. :-/ I like him, and we get along. *y* I was answering Vader's question. I was also thinking of answering it with "it's really none of your business" but then people would probably assume I am being cruel to him without a good reason, which is not the case. I apologize if I wrote too descriptive of an answer. Are you trying to help me or are you trying to insult me? :-P and he's definitely not jealous or being a pain, he just wants to use this computer more often then he does currently. I try to work with that. Is this some sort of sarcasm? I can't tell. 8-|

Unfortunetely he lost the priledge of his personal account on my PC for reasons I won't go into. However, he stilll uses it occationally on my account. It seems he has formulated a very dramatic end here, some sort of "goodbye, my friends, I won't be back here for years to come". But don't worry, I'm sure he will be back again within the month. ;-) He's just not completely happy about the fact he doesn't get to go online as often as I do, so he wants to make a big deal out of it to attract some attention. He really doesn't care that much about it either, right now he's perfectly happy playing his miniclip games when he could be here instead. :-P It's funny though, how you need those parenthesis like that, Vader. :-)

You're very welcome, Marco. I understand some things written here you find difficult to understand, but in the future try to use the 'EDIT' button below each of your posts. That way, you won't have to post twice in a row. It looks like this:

Ah, I'm glad you finally made it Marco, welcome! The town is still looking as great as ever, however, I think your Brickshelf folder is a little easier to navigate. *y* Cheers! Nathan

Yes, Wicket could kill 3po, but he would not. Granted that this is named UMC, based of UFC, we're actually placing them in the ring together, in which case it would be a matter of who would win, not who could win. X-D

But the combat strategies of either entity is rendered completely moot considering the small furry creature will immediately drop to the floor in worship at the mere sight of the shiny android! There is no question that any ewok village member would not be able to inflict harm upon our electronic friend. I can't believe I'm getting into this. :-D

Lego is about FUN. Do whatever the hell you want as long as you enjoy doing it. *sweet*

Ah, good use of that rubber band technique. You'll be seeing some of that from me in a little while.......... It's a simple but nice little vignette you have here, and a good bayonet too. *y*
