Yes, it's not a website on its own, just a page with a collection of many LEGO pirate pictures found on flickr. It makes it easier to browse. We might even be able to affiliate our little group with these grand forums with a link on the group

It seems to me that Mr. Lock is referring to Nelson Yrizzary. Or perhaps Patrick Yrizzary.

Very interesting. I'm not quite sure of the real advantage of that yet, but I'll go and join you there.

If you read a couple pages back you will find these answers: A. Some local Indiana TARGET department store B. $50 ;-) I plan to get a copy for myself soon....

Yes, the red and white one is very nice, but I think it needs some more white railings on the balcony. :-P I missed those small red and white crossing signs, I do think those should be removed. However, I'm having trouble determining how anachronistic those train cars actually are. The hopper (being the tan one), doesn't look all that modern to me aside from the precisely fashioned color coordination.

I remember this one floating around the front page of Brickshelf for days as a recent addition when the uploading function became defunct. Well, we have a large layout, with both Fort Legoredo and Harry Potter's Graveyard Duel in the background and many of beautiful MOCs in between. There's a lovely barn, train station, train, and water tower. Also a little ranch: A neat residential area: And the church in the town square. The two galleries can be found here and here. Mr. Moulders also is displaying some custom ponchos and covered wagons you can view if you click "Up".

Yes, that's wonderful! Thank you very much. :-P Do plan on making an entry yourself, Commander Scouts?

Hmmm, I followed these guidelines and have already built something that happens to be set in one of the thirteen American colonies -

Or anywhere else in that alloted time period, correct? Perhaps you should extend it into the early 19 century as well, otherwise one could submit any Napoleonic things. My entry seems to be just about finished, but I think I'll wait a little longer before presenting it! *sweet*

I apologize to The Brickster and all the rest of you for my recent absence, I couldn't post this last week as I had an extremely hectic schedule. I was planning to catch up on this weekend but it looks like part ten started and ended while I was asleep. I can say with much confidence however it was really fun when I was able to participate. I loved the story line too and the Lovecraft stuff, you did an excellent job with arranging that, thank you once again, Mr. Brickster! *y* *y* And I too agree it would be more exciting if people died a little more frequently. Perhaps a central perplexing enigma like the older mysteries incorporated would be cool as well.

I'm not sure how 'funny' theses are, but I certainly think they're very clever. The Saga Begins Big Box Mart 2-0-5 The Nations of the World

Many thanks for such excellent pictures of an excellent set, Hinkie! Now that I know what this set is about, I think I might just have to purchase a copy from a Target vending entity in the next day or to. I love those beards, they gave Gimli written all over them. *wub* The complex system of chutes and cable lines is quite impressive. I wonder why they put slits like that those technic pin tubes, however.

Ah, thanks for the interesting picture, Mr. Clone! I'm still trying to figure out what the golden idol looks like.... Yep, that's what I see to, thankfully. I believe Chuck mentioned somewhere that those two were baby dinos attached upside-down. I think these are prototype images still subject to a good amount of change. I think the Hovitos member minifig might show up again along with the printed legs, especially because one has already been produced and displayed. I also find it hard to believe that TLG would use the old Wormtail torso for Belloq, I think that might just be a temporary substitute for a more unique torso. Also, the head looks a little like the Lupin head, which would be really weird! I also see a small difference comparing the above picture to the larger Indy close-up on the scan; the newer one has a belt strap design printed across the shirt while the other does not. I hope the older design with the orange background shown above comes though....

Where do Rare/HTF Parts come from?

Yep, they're cool pieces. They make a nice bow for Legolas as well. -

I agree, we need more white hair (you can find mysterious classic male & vampire hair in white on BL). There are some black viking helmets floating around as well. -
Let's see...... I believe these are belleville baby bibs, but I can't quite remember exactly. And there's that white tire technique, that's good as well. :-) (MOC by Barbara Werth)

Ah, it's great you could join us here, Morgan. *y* Those entries are great, I must say again. The only gripe I have concerning the design is the udside-down epaulettes, I think I've seen a bellville bib piece used as a better alternative..... Thank you, Mr. Hollisbrick! Here's some lat minute ones I made including Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci, Charles de Batz-Castelmore (comte d'Artagnan) and Der F

The Wild, Wild West Building Contest: Discussion Thread
oo7 replied to SirNadroj's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I was going to, however the day's not over but you already ended it. :-( Now I don't think I can anymore..... -
All of the seventy something figures have been made as entries for The Fine Clonier Historical Figure Contest. I have entered a few myself including Harry S Truman, Rosa Parks, Ио́сиф Виссарио́нович Джугашви́ли, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and Charlie Chaplin. :-) Bowler hat and cane designs courtesy of Michael Jasper. Here's my favorite out of Morgan's lot:

I think The Battle of New Orleans would make an excellent addition to this index.

The exploding head is hilarious, great technique! Here's a little trivia fact for you; during the initial viewing of Raiders for the MPAA, it was set to be rated R for the single exploding head shown in clear view. Spielberg did not favor this and decided to obscure the image behind a column of fire to achieve a rating of PG (there was no PG-13 at the time it was released). Maybe you should so the same, Sir Nadroj! :-P We don't want any graphically explicit ABS plastic bricks, now do we? ;-) Lovely little vignette overall, with the perfect amount of detail. I like that ark to. *y*

Yes, us Americans need not worry about the world ending today, Mr. Phred. It's already tomorrow in Australia! *sweet* *y*

Erm, I think Mr. VBBN was just posting a nice MOC that resembled something from the Indiana Jones movies. Here's the Brickshelf gallery. It's definitely a nice model (would be better with a pivoting gun stand) and it looks like the helmets and weapons are made by Brickarms.com.....

Aye, what be it that we be a lookin' fer? How are these newcomers goin' about helpin' us and what in the name of Poseidon are we doin' floatin' ere with a dead engine? Is not one of ye scurvy swabs concerned that we won't be makin' it to Europe before that creature outside snatches yer up? Now I've got me ol' trusty harpoon rig an' blunderbuss set in me cabin, and if de captain doesn't want me usin' dem to slay de creature, I'd think they'de be at least a wee bit useful to be gettin' one 'o dem crates open. More useful then er rusted 'ol explosive, anyway.....
