  1. When you make a post, underneath the textbox for writing your post, you'll see a smaller textbox and a button next to it that says Browse... Click it, browse for the pic on your computer, click Add This Attachment, and then post when you're ready. :-)
  2. It's just in the pirate section that these smilies are shown. They don't appear anywhere else. I wish I had the governor head smilie from piratebricks... :-/ BTW, when these new smilies were added, the text codes for them changed and now you see things like cry4.gif laugh_new.gif laugh2.gif... |-/ Maybe he has bought the pirate items, or everything, that was available?
  3. I think wahiggin was jumping to conclusions. Sure, the green baseplates could have been separated from the rest of the castle sets and the gray baseplates from the rest of 6276 and 6277, and they could have been switched. But the more I think about it, this reasoning seems a little harder to believe than the sets being reproduced with the green baseplates. And I guess not many of the members of BL realize that we're here... 8-| Scouts, I don't have the baseplate we've been discussing (top) but I have the other one. The colors are just kind of "reversed"
  4. Did you read what The_Panther_X wrote? I would have thought the baseplates came from the castle sets that had them, but his message seems to confirm that the green plates were included in some ITPs. About the colors, I agree. They wouldn't go together. *wacko*
  5. Okay, here's a thread on BrickLink http://www.bricklink.com/messageThread.asp...1400&nID=171177 about this baseplate replacing the light gray baseplate from these two sets Especially read the first message by The_Panther_X Have any of you come across this change or known about it?
  6. You mean that all your official Lego ships have been built by another person? Oh, you mean MOC ships. X-D X-D X-D The only "ship" I have is the cutter from ITP. 8-| Pretty pathetic...
  7. oo7, I was talking about the pics on BrickLink; those were exactly the same as yours, but without the word Prototype across it. And it was the BL pics that I said were said to be prototypes. And you must mean hispalug.com. If you don't mind me asking, how did you come across it? Do I sense some tension between a few members here? 8-
  8. Whoa! X-O lol X-D Anyway, my first pirate auction was probably for $30 with a CC that I sold for $70, not to mention a couple other small sets and loose parts that were included. *sweet* That's too bad Captain Roger. I've noticed that the Eldorado Fortress tends to go for more in Europe than the US... I don't think I'll ever find an SES in a cheap lot. :-/ You might want to send an eBay message like Phes said. Also, send an alert through BrickLink; that way the seller will easily know from the red banner appearing when logged on.
  9. You are right Phes, but it's like what Obi-Wan says, "...from a certain point of view." I do spend money (initially), but for some reason after I sell the stuff I don't want, I end up with more money than I had before buying the lot. :-) Is that accurate? About the space issue: that's the main reason I've really slowed down with buying Lego. :-/ It might take several years for that to change...
  10. I bought the book on Amazon.com for about $10 I think, which included shipping.
  11. My resolution is 800 x 600 and the text looks fine.
  12. I think I can say that pirates don't "cost" me anything, since I sell Lego to pay for the things that I keep. *sweet* With most large lots that I get, I can sell the sets that I don't want for more than what I would pay for the set or sets that I keep. Just recently I got a lot that came with a mostly complete 6271 that's worth more than that set alone.
  13. I think we may be able to contact the builder. *pirate* I did a search on BL, but no serdan73, only this serdan from Roma, Italy. Anyway, I did a search for serdan73 on Google and guess what I found? http://www.uraniamania.com/forum.php?actio...e;user=serdan73 An Italian site with a serdan73 from Roma! Complete with e-mail address and pic of the person. X-D X-D X-D Don't forget, you can also contact him though the BrickLink contact on his ID card above.
  14. It's been noted that it's from Legoland, Billund in Denmark. It was probably built around the time the pirates came out, but it's probably still standing, AFAIK.
  15. I already made a suggestion for using a Technic axle right before your message http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...opic=6683&st=0# ;-) X-D
  16. I just finished reading on BL that those are prototype pics... So set 7771 won't be released? Will there be a light bluish gray chest in another Aqua Raiders set?
  17. When he runs down to the spilled dirt and looks for the heart, that's when he says it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQ03pFBgFbw (last couple of seconds of the video)
  18. I believe he permanently resides in the Netherlands, after a little discussion with one of his "contacts" with a large collection of MISB sets. X-D
  19. It looks like that set will actually come with the light bluish gray chest; here it is in the BrickLink catalog http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?S=7771-1
  20. He says "I'm working on support for applying imagemaps to legs (for those leafy garments Islanders wear)" and "This gave me an opportunity to use Jer's new Islander shirt imagemap, too. I do need to get him to draw the sticker that goes on the ends of the canoe, though so we know he's not done yet
  21. I've never seen Imperial Guards go for so cheap! *wacko* I guess I need to watch more closely since I haven't seen anything else go for 1/5th the price of BL.
  22. Maybe on BL at one point in the past. And yes, I made that little model just for you. *pirate* Only took a minute.
  23. I thought he called it the thump-thump. :-D
  24. He was last online on November 1. 8-|
  25. This might make it more clear. The black tire/tyre at the top represents a flexible Technic tube that goes through the holes in the four "robot arms."
