Stickered Jolly Roger flag?
Governor Broadside replied to Governor Broadside's topic in LEGO Pirates
You probably can't be 100% sure that a set has never been resealed from pictures. But why would a person want to replace a large, white printed flag with an unprinted one? It would require a bit of work. Resealing sets that is not easily noticeable would be very bad for unwary MISB collectors. -
Steve, why did you name her classic Pippin instead of Gail Storm?

Almost a toss-up between Lagoon Lock-Up and Imperial Outpost, but went with the first, mainly for being in agreement with what oo7 says about the latter. But now that I finally own 6263, my opinion could change once I build it. :-P

Stickered Jolly Roger flag?
Governor Broadside replied to Governor Broadside's topic in LEGO Pirates
No, but the original poster said he would take pictures of them when he has time. Here's the whole thread: http://www.bricklink.com/messageThread.asp?ID=47434 -
According to a recent thread on BrickLink, this flag was apparently also released with a sticker instead of printing and the part is reported to not be a clone brand part. Have any of you come across this before? It was a shock to me.

The acronym stands for Crummy Ramp And Pit Plate. -
Who are all the Pirate Lego fans on this board?
Governor Broadside replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
Um, no, I didn't have time for that either. 8-| But just recently I've won some pirate items from the 'bay, and am just waiting for them to arrive and let the Pirate feeling return in full swing. :) -
No, but I suspect that after a certain point during production of EF, Lego changed the water level, and that printing was also used later in ITP.

Who are all the Pirate Lego fans on this board?
Governor Broadside replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
Here I am after almost a half year hiatus (which would be in exactly two weeks)... :-|| I hope to visit here more regularly now that summer's almost here. Anyway, it feels good to visit here again after all that time. -
I think this was brought up on the BrickLink forum by ImperialScouts, but it's been purged. Apparently the water levels on the baseplates from EF and ITP were different.

The Admiral posts some pictures!
Governor Broadside replied to Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn's topic in Pirate MOCs
Euros are used only in Europe. ;-) Here's a good currency converter http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi So they'd be about AU$20-25 -
If it was some Italian ship, the "New Yorker" could be good. X-D EXO-CHAMP, where'd you get that name from? What you wrote means something else (not really offensive, but I wouldn't want to say). And if I'm thinking the same thing that you possibly heard/read originally, that could be offensive.

What do you think of the Islander sets?
Governor Broadside replied to Island boy's topic in LEGO Pirates
Phes, is there any way you or another EB admin could change this poll, so that you must make a post in the pirate form before you can vote? That could force these anonymous islander lovers to come out of hiding and say why they like them so much. I'm curious about why they outnumber the other votes and are so silent. X-D :-D -
Just to avoid any possible confusion, it's Home Depot.

There's nothing to be afraid about; in fact I did enjoy reading this review. But I guess you could be afraid of the subtitle below this subforum: Reviews of official Pirate LEGO sets designed by The LEGO Company. I can't wait to see your MOCS; just hope that they stay together well. X-D
-
I hope you don't take this offensively because I don't mean this that way at all, but look who's talking! X-D You're the only one who has posted more than him today. In fact, over half of the top posters are pirate fans. 8-o (No wonder I have a hard time keeping up with the pirate section of EB!) At his rate he'll soon dethrone ImperialScouts. :-D

There's an edit button, ya know... Arggggghhhhh :-O :-P Nice models. *y*

What??? 8-o

His location says Carmel, IN(diana), a US state. ;-)

Mr. Tiber, don't you mean to ask "What made you love islanders so much??" And phred, who's to say that islanders are cannibals? 8-o

Would you open a MISB SYSTEM Pirate set?
Governor Broadside replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
Yes, buy a used set because it's cheaper and you're not decreasing the amout of MISB sets. *y* -
Looking over your CAD pics made me remember something: what kind of person would create a CAD part for the jail door but no door frame? :( *still waits for a Ldraw parts update with this part*

Would you open a MISB SYSTEM Pirate set?
Governor Broadside replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
I like that poster. I think I used to have it, but my mom once went on a throwing-away spree and threw away most of my small Lego catalogs. >:-( Then again it could be somewhere in my box of instructions... Now there are TWO votes for preserving MISB sets. ;-) Basically all I'll say is that deciding to open a MISB set or keep it sealed depend on if you have $$$ in mind (not necessarily making money, though). As for the number of MISB sets in existence: we can't really know how many copies of any one set were made, but I don't believe there are all that many left. I might elaborate more tomorrow, when I finish catching up on reading from my two week hiatus 100th post. :) -
Question about medival doors
Governor Broadside replied to Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn's topic in LEGO Pirates
I think this is what he's talking about. Correct me if I'm wrong. If you ask me, I think the other blue parts around it could be slightly discolo(u)red, making the other one stand out more.
