  1. Cool moc, love it!
  2. What did everyone think of the closing to the two-parter, "'Witch's Familiar"?
  3. That 'Terror of the Zygons' one sounds pretty awesome. I wish they would've included one in the IDEAS set. They have to at least do a '50th Anniversary' set. I want my beloved 8th Doctor....
  4. I was thinking more along the lines of the android mummies, but I guess.... That's pretty much the only thing I think you really can do with "Genesis of the Daleks". Suffice to say, there's certainly ways to "spice up the set" though, I'm sure...
  5. No, undeniably it was, but I don't think it gives off that "classic" vibe like a "pyramid of mars" or "genesis of the dalek" (classic episodes) set would. Those have iconic vibes. I mean, clips from "genesis" were used in the latest episode!
  6. In Blondiewan we trust!
  7. Yuppee!! Doctor and Donna are one of my favourite pairings! Will be "brilliant" to have Catherine Tate yellin' at the playful Timelord once again...
  8. The junkyard would be amazing. Actually, isn't there a lego ideas set based on that? Would be really nice if it didn't even have to be reviewed and just showed lego that a Doctor Who LINE of products would be immensely popular. Not sure about "key to time" though..... probably would have to be something iconic like a scene from "Genesis of the Daleks" or "Pyramids of Mars" type deal...
  9. If I recall correctly, Character Options (LEGO-like brand that previously held the license) already did a set based on that. I think LEGO may want something more iconic, in which case if there is the possibility of a series of lines of LEGO Doctor Who, probably the tardis console or the pandorica and stonehenge...
  10. Just got an e-mail from Best Buy that my order was dispatched and I should get it earliest tomorrow! Ordered Portal 2 and WOZ!! Really hope that's true, that would be awesome!
  11. I get what you're saying, but I don't see the need to completely ban discussion about it. I mean, I'd understand if a mod stepped in on occasion if things got to the point of "I hope it's today" for the 3 pages to push the topic back on track, but discussion on it once in a while shouldn't be problematic. After all, there was a pretty good chance of a reveal due to the season premiere. I'll drop the topic but I just wanted to put this comment out there.
  12. +100000000000000000000000000000
  13. ...only human, or cybermen trying to upgrade us!!? I jest. Yeah no problem, didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings, just a little confused as to why we can't talk about the release date as we have been for the last 20-something pages and no moderator ever told us off for it. Oh man, that would be amazing.... but I guess for now you'll just have to build your own...
  14. Nice job, really enjoying that Rani tardis console!
  15. Haha, was bored out of my skull, which is a first, so congratulations to the writer on that! Super excited for when they'll get a new one!
  16. Probably in the morning, so it's too late now. Probably will be a reveal at brickcon or NYCC or maybe week of series finale is current speculation. Careful about asking or you may get banned from eurobricks because our new moderator overlord forbids talking about this for some weird reason.
  17. I hear you. I mean, they got Michelle Gomez and Jenna Coleman to do the voices, it wouldn't be such a huge leap to make figs of them. I mean, there's the ghostbuster set with just slimer and stay puft. A Clara and Missy set w/ Master's tardis would be awesome!
  18. I hear you. That would be the most awesomest coolest thing to ever wake up to ever. Highly skeptical though.... probably will be revealed during the finale week....
  19. Hideously wonderful!
  20. Here here! Now wouldn't that be nice! I hope so too. The universe is only so important so many times. Would be nice to have a companion that's more interested in exploring, or is actually scared of the Doctor. NOT like Clara in 'Deep Breath'. I mean like Lucy from the audio story 'Blood of the Daleks'. Just, you know, a breath of fresh air, that's really what I'm looking for. Something different. I was hoping Shona may join (the blond woman from Last Xmas), or someone like her. That would be awesome! I feel like their banter would be absolutely amazing!
  21. So I talked with an employee at the LEGO store today and apparently there's been no word about the press release date either, so I'm starting to lose faith it'll be this week. Probably will be around the time the series finale airs, or a week or two before its release.
  22. I counted 7 last time, but I've lost track. ;D I only put it here because it was on the bbc news website, which seems a lot more trustworthy than the Guardian, in terms of these types of matters... I hate to say it, but I would really like to see it happen. We need a breath of fresh air, a change of pace if you will, and I hope if it does happen it'll be awesome... trying to be as vague as possible without giving away spoilers!
  23. Well this is interesting.... it involves Jenna Coleman, and is from a "sort of" trustworthy source...
  24. I do recall people speculating about it during the airing of series 8, so I guess it ain't no spoiler. On the more exciting side of things.... only 3 more days!!! :D
  25. Ummmm..... yes, but I think with an older age group.... I see what you're trying to say, but remember that LEGO recently acquired the ghostbusters license to make the ideas set and still have access to the production molds, so the logical choice then is to put Ghostbusters in the game. Same idea with "Back to the Future". Portal 2 recently demonstrated that it has lots of potential, being a project on ideas that reached 10000 votes pretty quickly. The Wizard of Oz is world renowned, and many people young and old are fans. While you're not wrong in saying "current media" is not a determining factor, it doesn't feel like you're approaching it from the right angle (gettin' all strategically analytical up in this children's toy hizzle !). As I said before, there's some good reason why LEGO chose those particular lines. Unfortunately, and as much as it pains me to say it, Avatar seems pretty impossible. While you're right in pointing out Avatar is certainly popular, I strongly hesitate to call it a "cult classic". "The Wizard of Oz" is definitely a classic. I bet if you went onto the North American streets and asked random people whether they knew Avatar or The Wizard of Oz, pretty sure it's gonna be The Wizard of Oz. Viacom sucks at merchandising everything.... because all they ever merchandise is spongebob! It makes sense from a fan standpoint.... unfortunately not from a merchandising standpoint (and trust me, I'm no economics major, I just figure it's the logical thing...) We can always hope though.... after all, LEGO Doctor Who! Who would've thunk it?
