  1. Nice job Ecc!!! Also, I really like that pose Kabel, that guy may have had too much German (Dutch? Belgium? English? Miller Light?) beer.
  2. We are sad to hear of another hero falling, we shall send gifts to William's family, and hope that one day this madness ends. ~ Petera MacLean Cool little build. It would be nice to see a second side of the building, to show what the whole turret(?) looked like.
  3. I know what you mean, that cheese conversation in Mitgardia would have had the mods shutting down the thread and banning people at CC! Ha... Anyway, the point system is a little rigid over there too, although I think I suggested some of it when it was all getting formed. I actually mapped out a giant wargame rules process so that people could capture other people's lands and what not. Some people thought it was cool, but most seemed to want more open story lines like Historica. But, I think over the year, it has been war, war, and more war there... meaning maybe they should have taken my rules for conquest after all! As for Flickr, I might just buy the pro. It seems reasonable. I only ever use it for Lego though. Can't wait to see what you have going.
  4. Yeah... apparently I posted my entry for the first half, and flickr deleted the photo because I was over the limit in that upload batch.... Why didn't they tell me that when I uploaded? Anyway, I do hope to get my second half in over there. Although I feel like an outsider (I just was not active in the beginning because of my housing situation although I was excited to participate) in LCC so it's not really my priority. I thought that might be the contest you were talking about. I believe there are more than a couple people in GoH that moonlight over there. Also, my character was harder to execute over there because he just doesn't fit in well. If it were allowed, I probably would have killed him and joined one of the main factions.
  5. Can't wait to see it finished SK! I assume you mean Rochester, NY... had there been a Lego store there when I lived in NW PA, my car would have had a lot more miles on it! Nice to see the expansion of Lego Stores all over the place.
  6. Now it screams shrine. Good work here! This is an excellent example of a good small vignette.
  7. I think that second one may be interesting. Lime green is not my thing, but new arms might make that a pretty impressive custom warrior
  8. Out of curiosity, what challenge elsewhere? And... don't you know that Historica is a full time job? - We are at war! We can't have you spreading your talents elsewhere... But really, good luck in the other contest!
  9. I rather not make my friends pay through the nose.
  10. I THink I will post one, and then the other two together. A for what you should do, does it feel natural to post them separately? Do you have good cliffhangers? Or, do they feel like they all would flow best in immediate sequence?
  11. Very cool! You must have had a lot of patience with the stream of water! I tried that the other day and about threw it across the room! Nice little scene here, very peaceful.
  12. I think what we should take away from this is that someone outside of Historica just bought a ton of dragon knights, you Avalonians should find them and bring them to heel. Also, if those chess sets ever go on sale, I would gladly go halves with anyone on a bunch of them, I have too many Dragons, but could always use the lions.
  13. Now that is one incredibly slick looking army. Can't wait to see what kind of destruction they rain (reign?) on the battlefield.
  14. SK, it would be an honor. We may end up having our own league of extraordinary heroes when this gets done.... I will try to recreate each person's figure they send as accurately as possible. The reason why I didn't ask for sig figs was because, it seems that many of them will be elsewhere during the battle for Historica. Oh... not to be morbid, but when you all submit your warrior, let me know if it is alright to plot kill him / her... Of course some could just get injured and not be able to continue...
  15. My apologies Infernum, I forget what guild you are in, but yes, of course -- all guilds are welcome to send a warrior --- we will assume that some of the Kaliphlin lords have sent messages to trusted lords in the other guilds. DaMax, one warrior for the task, it is small in scale, although the 16 warriors could perhaps be used to protect the main party's rear when they go on their mission? As for the army going to Queenscross, the commander there may have to split part of your force up to hit the supply lines of the Army of Corruption, because I won't have the representative figs for all of them, but I will get in as many as possible. Just wait until you see what the Hand has cooked up for this battle.
  16. Some of this has been brainstorming MOCs to see what I want to do for my other two builds. I have the interior planned, but the two other builds are still up in the air. Good to put brick to baseplate and sort out one's thoughts.
  17. I agree that the tree doesn't quite work here, but you know if it was a larger build, or you build a "background plate" to sit behind it, you could make some larger trees that overhang around the shrine to make it look tucked away in a dark forest. I really liked the stairs, something I always fail at and give up on in my builds! haha.
  18. I like how the story has progressed, it really does seem like he is a great wanderer and has helped flesh out the setting of Kaliphlin. The cottage is nice, kind of small and remote, and the inside is very pretty. It reminds me of a place I used to stay in Canada a couple times a year when my family went up there for business. Very cozy!
  19. Looking good SK. I like the feel of that stream in the middle, and the rocks are coming along well.
  20. I don't see why heroes from other parts who hear of this somewhat secret call couldn't send a representative. I know at least one Mitgardian will be there.
  21. Right, and too much Red and Blue may look Kaliphlinian... It seems like the King is almost all Dark Red. And.... just DAMN!!!! Legonardo, that thing looks masterful.
  22. Safeway is a grocery store chain in parts of the country, although I have never seen one and I have lived in PA, FL, and TX.
  23. Sorry to those of you I did not have a specific mission for, I couldn't think of enough! As you all probably guessed, the warrior will play a part in my version of the final challenge storyline, just wanted a representative from as many as possible! Trying to make the storyline interactive too, as we are a pretty great little community here. From what I have heard from all of you, I am trying to make it all mesh OK with the various stories so that we can each keep the bulk of our story as "cannon." Of course Victor will die (or live) in different ways, but until that moment, probably most of our stories can still stand as official. What would be really awesome is if I can get some of the old Kaliphlin people to return and send a warrior...
  24. Unexpected turn in conversation! Yes, I agree that there is good cheese to be had in the USA, but you need to pony up for it. Although, I think many French cheeses are overrated and piggyback their reputation from their paired wines.
  25. I really need to build a photobox, but I like big scenes, so that may be a problem. I know, the most elaborate I have really done is the Embassy, which was fun, but something I can't always do. I am a horrible piece sorter which is part of the problem. Yeah, I was thinking about the vertical bands while disassembling part of the MOC today. Haha, my distaste for vertical building and tiles is becoming famous! No, you are right though, if I had more headlight pieces or pieces with side studs (what are those usually called on Bricklink?) I think I would attempt it more. Yours was so nicely done.
