"Oh, I won't tell anyone." Nur really didn't know what Haldor was talking about. His memory was prone to forgetfulness. Had he heard something on the matter? The defiling of a young lass perhaps? Nur stroked his chin. Oh well... "Hm, yes I shall sign my name after I have eaten. I must admit that science does intimidate me a little." Nur took the offered seat. This Haldor seemed a tad different. He was even more boisterous and eager to fight than the man he had quested with before. Had his friend simply grown or had his woman affected him so? Maybe Nur never really knew the Norseman at all? It was only one quest together... "Who are your friends sitting here?"

En Sabah Nur was a bit crestfallen he wasn't selected to clean up the quarry. He was looking forward to learning from the imp Hybros on the use of thrown weapons in live combat as opposed to sparring matches. He did grin at not partcipating in yet another quest with Alf. Eager to consume whatever red meat was featured for the day, Nur headed up the stairs. He saw what appeared to be a shirtless old friend..."Haldor, put a shirt on man! No one wants to see that-" As the mage got closer he noticed the man's buldging muscles. "Oh I see...You've been doing a bit of heavy lifting eh? I had heard Norse women are a bit heffer-like. Don't tell me you've given up on that dainty elf of yours already."

No thanks. Nur is fine being a main supporting cast memember of the Heroica RPG show.

Nur buys two phoenix essences for 100 gold (172-100=72g remaining). He then picks up two smelling salts for 50 gold (72-50=22g remaining) before deciding to check out the arena...

Is quest 20 due to end soon? What's the hold up?

So......who's up for receiving one level of experience per month for participating in the arena at least once a month? Will attract more combatants. :grin:

Looks like you'll be needing some respectable heroes. Guess that omits all rogues except maybe Dyric since he comes from nobility. I'm not sure what heroes could be considered as the faces of Heroic and perhaps that's a question for the Rules Topic but I'd pick from Cronk, Boomingham (sober), Alexis, Ellaria, Daggerfall (he's handsome), Hoke, Tarn, Cinna, Maurice, Nyx (if she can be kept from setting people on fire), and Docken to represent as the best of Eubric. As far as things to throw into your quest...I can't think of anything. Just keep doing what you've been doing.

"Well perhaps you should assign your name to the latest quest along with us to take your mind off things?" Nur grinned as he joined his former questmates. "Cleaning up a quarry will provide a nice distracting workout. We'll sweat a little on a relaxing quest while doing a good deed for a citizen of Eubric. I'm sure Ennoc will approve."

Boomingham has a good chance at winning. Scoring critical hits with your darkness blade will slowly chip away at him. Pick up a scroll of confusion and hope he crits himself. Any way the 50/50 chance of successful application of the confusion scroll could be removed? Its applied effect already has another 50% chance of activating.

"That'll make a fine addition to your throwing arsenal, Hybros. I could indeed benefit from your instruction. Alexis, have you signed up for the quest to clean up the quarry? You should join Hybros and me. It would be nice to see Ocven again." Nur turned and smiled at Mandy. "Not that it's not nice seeing you again too, little one. It seems you've grown a little. Has your mistress been entertaining you with her flute?"

"Well met, Hybros. My name is En Sabah Nur." He motioned for two chicken legs and a mug of water be brought to him. "I have been here long enough to complete a few quests. Most of my adventurers have taken place here, around Eubric. However my latest adventure took me off the island. I almost perished on that one. Sea-farin' isn't my favorite thing and what do you know, our ship crashed. Do you mind if I eat?" Nur's food and drink arrived. Channeling his magic through the aquamarine and garnet he kept in his pack, En Sabah Nur managed to filter the water a bit by separating it from dirt. The water swirled and the turned clearer as tiny pieces of dirt left the mug. They clumped together into a sphere and the liquid became calm. He took a swig and found that it tasted better than the lake water he conjured in his last quest and it didn't cost him any ether loss. "Say Hybros, you appear to be a crafty fellow, do ye have much experience with throwing weapons? I've recently begun practicing the art. I must admit, it's not coming to me easily." The mage took a bite of chicken as he waved two fingers from his free hand, sending the dirt ball flying behind him. The ball traveled quite a distance before landing in the midst of a certain board game...

"Hm, I know how to move stones." Nur signed up for Quest #26: Quarry Clean Up before heading upstairs.

I'm sure Jess will be disappointed...

Yeah, it was similar to that image. Perhaps he changed his mind on the character/class. Was a good introduction though.

This concerned me as well. Was hoping Alf might be one to continue fighting from the front row once he becomes a battle-mage. Cinna would be fine in the back (if she were to choose battle mage) as she seems to be the mistress of/authority on long ranged weapons.

One thing I'd like to know is when's the quest involving Rosemary's Ellaria's baby going to start?

It's not so much that Nur didn't want it but moreso Jebediahs knew Alexis could roleplay with it better. My vote is to keep the phoenix a super rare pet or else whoever creates a new one will be revealed as an unoriginal copycat.

I like the updated pic, Customizer. Can actually see Erdathcath clearly now. If Maurice gets into a fight at the Hall, Nur will be there to back him up. oh no! Hoptep give back that bow you damn dirty ape!

En Sabah Nur returned to the training grounds. After his poor performance with his shuriken in the arena, Nur needed more practice hitting targets that weren't stationary. He summoned his pet rock. "Alright 'Rock, start moving... please ." The rock obeyed and began to slowly roll as Nur jogged a distance of sixteen studs away. He threw the first of his shuriken which overshot the target by at least four studs. Nur refocused and let his second fauxthril star fly. It was right on course to connect with its target when the pet rock stopped suddenly, allowing the shuriken to pass harmlessly in front of it. "Aw, c'mon." Pet Rock began to wiggle back and forth then hopped up and down in place. "You're right, friend. The enemies won't be easy on me either. Thank you...let us continue." Nur's final shuriken found its target and bounced harmlessly to the ground. The geomancer collected his thrown weapons and noticed slight wear on the one that had hit the rock. "Hm, will need to sharpen this later. C'mere a moment." Nur placed his hands over Pet Rock and recited an incantation. His hands glowed and a thin stream of water poured forth. The rock's surface began to weaken as the water trickled over it. "There, soft enough not to damage my stars. When I score a hit it'll stick and we'll be able to see exactly where." Pet Rock rolled between two points ten studs apart and Nur's practice continued...

Hahaaha No. Sam Jackson is too old, loud and stiff. I've seen Marcus in chef challenges, he can actually move.

For Nur I'd want Marcus Samuelson. He's not an actor but he's good with a knife and on tv.
