  1. "Hm, one out of three. Looks like I need a lot more work hitting moving targets." Not wanting to risk any physical damage to the arena, Nur casts a water spell from the back row at Johon.
  2. "Sorry, again fellas! I'm still learning. Hm last one. Let's try it one more time! Nur throws his last shiruken at Johon from the back row.
  3. "Oops." Nur flings another shuriken from the back row.
  4. Recalling the training he received from Copper Fox, En Sabah Nur throws a shiruken at Johon from the back row.
  5. En Sabah Nur directs another earth spell from the back row at Johon.
  6. Nur repeats his action. OoC: Alf can still roll SHIELD or me roll SPECIAL DAMAGE right? Those have to be blocked by Scroll of Sealing?
  7. Dodging the wild swings, Nur prepares an earth spell from the back row.
  8. Nur casts from his Scroll of Blindness from the back row.
  9. "Yes, well thank you for the training." Might want to record this one as a draw. "I will try your special drink." Nur stops a moment before leaving the arena. "'Finish him', eh? I, En Sabah Nur (Jebediahs) challenge Johon/Alf Gregory(Bricksandparts) to a duel. I'll be in the Hall should you choose to accept."
  10. OoC: Need to add +5 Health back to Boomingham on that last round because of his SP. Nur attacks from the front row with his Stealth Dagger. The lesson has been great for improving his combat skills thus complimenting his new rogue profession.
  11. OoC: I'm not sure the Diadem's bonus works here as it affects Power(Weapon Power + Level) and only Weapon Power is taken into account for Hits in arena but of course it's up to the BM to decide how it works. Nur raised an eyebrow and paused. Who was Boomingham talking to? For Nur was unable to see the angel! Dun dun dun!
  12. Nur slowly approaches his frozen target and pokes him to make sure he can't move. He then practices some of the routines and combinations Boomingham has been using against him thus far by attacking with his dagger from the front row.
  13. OoC: Also Boomingham's SP? I dunno if I should be doing so much damage vs an armored opponent. Blacking out and realizing he can't take another hit, En Sabah Nur swings wildly and attacks with his dagger from the front row.
  14. Still gauging the veteran warrior's skill he repeats his attack from the back row.
  15. "Alright Boomingham, I am ready for my instruction." En Sabah Nur cautiously prepares to undergo the training exercise by attacking from the back row with his Stealth Dagger.
  16. Nur lowered his eyes in thought. As worldly as he was, he wasn't familiar with Zoot. He'd overheard a pair of orc witches mention an Azazot once but they were most likely speaking of something else. "Well Skrall, I'd like to help you in tracking down this woman who troubles you so. It woul-" Nur was startled by the Hall patrons' surprise as Ocven arrived. "Excuse me. I know this creature... I think ." En Sabah Nur walked toward the beast that had helped his team in his latest quest. Mesmerized by the dragon he tripped over a scaly tail on his way over. "My apologies, Sarick. I did not see you there." He greeted Ocven and turned to its mistress. "You've grown, friend. I hope your elf doesn't have to pay for damage done by your arrival. Alexis, how would one such as myself bring forth a companion as magnificent as Ocven here? In my attempt at evoking, the creation from my garnet wasn't very impressive." Nur watched Alexis interact with her animal friends and suspected that her elven heritage (and general nice disposition) gave her an advantage at this type of spell casting.
  17. "Eh, I never cared much for the hagglin' part of the business. It seems I can only sell to the intoxicated." Nur raised his eyebrows and pointed his head sideways in the direction of the drunken paladin. "After the sewers I was fortunate enough to take an assignment above ground and in a fine academic facility at that. Unfortunately it was haunted. Terrible creatures, the undead. My first encounter with them and our party almost didn't make it out of the building alive." If the mage was shaken by the experience, he didn't let on. "There were some interesting characters in my group. That chatty barbarian Alf there for instance. Don't make eye contact or he'll come over. I quested with him again on a third mission that took us off the island in search of pirates. He was quite instrumental in gaining access to a magical door." En Sabah Nur unfurled one of his scrolls. "The adventure also allowed me to test the witch Elphaba's spells in combat. They were highly effective." Nur rolled up the parchment and stored it in his pack. "You seem more...determined and focused my friend. What has happened to you since our first quest? How have you advanced? I've been overhearing some chatter in the hall...perhaps you could explain to me what exactly is a Wren and a Zoot?
  18. "I have but the one piece of parchment. That green-skinned witch has the ability to create an infinite number of scrolls so she can sell them cheap. I already came down 100 gold. No deal. Looks like I'll be holding on to it a bit longer. You know..." Nur looked around to see if anyone else was listening before leaning in closer to the sage. "I did hear a rumor that a new merchant will be making his or her way into the marketplace very soon. Perhaps you'll find what ye need at the price you're looking for when this vendor arrives. Don't rush off on any quests too soon or you could miss out on buying some valuable goods. A little advice from one spell-flinger to another. " En Sabah Nur turned to see who else had entered the Hall.
  19. "Hrm...for an accomplished magic user such as yerself, I'll part with the scroll for 100 gold." "You again? Aren't you still fighting in the arena? You must wield powerful magics to be in two places at once...or you're an imposter! Begone."
  20. Nur works his way to the top of the stairs hoping to peddle his wares at outlandish prices . "Could I interest anyone in a magnificent Scroll of Confusion for the small sum of 200 gold?
  21. Hoke and Tesni should just duel it out with arena rules. I'm sure Wren wouldn't mind. The power of Zoot compels you!
  22. Nice. That fig can do a Sonic the Hedgehog attack as he flips with that helm.
  23. Nur returns to the table where Atramor was sitting and sighs. "There is a waiting list to use the arena for sparring."
  24. Aw poop. Guess Boomers will be sober by then. I hope Nur can survive at least one round.
  25. Nur entered the arena and added his challenge to the sign-up list as the current match continued... "I, En Sabah Nur (Jebediahs), would like to challenge Lord Lawrence Boomingham (Zepher), to melee combat!"
