"Ah, a huntsman. What is your preferred game, Mister...?
-
En Sabah Nur stopped his throwing practice and took advantage of a free opportunity to peruse another's belongings. He watched the exchange with Docken before getting close to Darksten. "Oh my, what a lovely covering you wear. Might ye know of its origins?" Nur grinned wide and sat himself at the booth. "It was cut from the hide of a giant sand-dwelling worm. I had wanted it for myself but it was too large and heavy to wear as a cape. How did it come into your possession?"
-
En Sabah Nur excuses himself from the table as the eating contest concludes and heads downstairs. "Alright Alfred, most of the time I use these things, I miss or get attacked. It is time for some practice. Stand away from the board a tad, please then do not move, you will remained unharmed." Alfred complies as Nur begins throwing shuriken at the golem.
-
"Aw, I'm sure he's fine. How does one train as a Winged Warrior if you have no wings?" If Alfred had been of the breathing sort, now would be the time for him to cough to clear his throat. "My name is Alfred the Seneschal, also referred to as Alf, Alfredo, Alfonso, Alfwiedersehen, Alfrederci, Alfie or Al. So named by the great Krakenwhacker, the Titan Smiter, Orrik's forgotten bastard (Not really but feel free to spread it around) and my current master, the Trickster Mage En Sabah Nur!" Alfred slowly turned and made his way back to his spot next to the questboard. The things the mage made him say... "I was instructed to serve as a decorative piece until he summons me."
-
"Indeed." Nur finished his meal. "Which of the Houses if any, funded your last quest? Before you reach archmage, do ye intend to seek any of the specialized training from any of the Eubric Houses?" -- My master's instructions not to move or speak could be interpreted as only applying while I was at the questboard. As I am no longer at that location... "The dwarf is correct in that I am a golem. However attempts at my destruction are futile as my master now has the power to reconstitute me." Alfred remained stoic.
-
"That is available for heroes? Some interesting magic I must say. The possession of such a tool would increase one's collection significantly and quite quickly."
-
It is happening... Alfred remained steadfast in his duty to appear statuesque despite his clothing draping over his abductor. "Indeed, I came across the game while traveling in the Babeleth Darklands. There is a wonderful amount of cards that I intend on collecting. Such as this one..." "...the majectic mud frog. Not to be confused with the sweet and magical croakoa treats." Nur offers a wink.
-
Alfred the Stalwart continued to remain frozen next to the questboard. He watched only the Heroes that crossed his field of vision as he'd been instructed not to move. I wonder when one of these fleshlings will attempt to steal my garnet eyes. -- "So Warlen, you and your friends have plans to venture into the farmer's back yard? What do you know of this place? I hear it is very dangerous and you must be quite formidable warriors to return alive."
-
"Yes, please join us. Be sure to take advantage of the wonderful free food first." Nur briefly raised his drumstick to eye level before bringing it back down to his mouth. "What type of protection spell was it, invisibility? A barrier? Something else?"
-
"How did these Elven Mages treat you during your training? In my experience the pure-blooded elves generally look at elves of mixed race with much disdain as if they are some how less than, inferior. Must have been hard."
-
"Aye, if you don't mind if I eat? It appears my meal is finally ready."
-
Realizing he was still standing, Nur peered over the bannister's edge to check on Alfred before taking a seat. "So, what remedies have you explored already? Do you have any leads on where to head at this point? Have you tried the witches of the Babeleth Darklands? I know they can cure some mutations but as far as reversing your conditions...I'm not quite sure."
-
"First saw him jump from the top of the stairs-oh Alfred! Yes, the mage in my former party that practices necromancy destroyed the golem and I managed to recover enough pieces of him to have his body reconstituted by a mage far more skilled in earth magic than I." Nur strokes his chin briefly. "Ah, so you must be tainted in some way to become a dark druid? How have you been cursed?"
-
Nur nods. "How did you fare against the Dark Druids? What sort of abilities do they possess? I thought all druids focused their energies on bringing life and well-being to all?"
-
"Ah, there 'e is. Greetings, Quarion. Yes, I went on an adventure with the gentlemen at that lively table there. Brought that rocky fellow, Alf back to the Hall. What sort of mischief did you run into during your latest travels?"
-
"I have not been instructed as to what to respond beyond the initial greeting." Nur makes his way to the table. "That's enough Alfredo. Head downstairs to the questboard and don't move or speak. All who sign up for a quest will think I have been honored with my own statue in the Hall! Greetings, Warlen, where is your floating companion? It seems they have shut down the arena as no one has entered since we last departed."
-
Nur peeked through the railing from the stairway to see who was currently dining in Scheherazade's Saloon. He ducked down and whispered, "Now, like we planned. Remember to smile real big." A shabby figure approaches the bar. "I would like two chicken drumsticks, please." Nur chuckled loudly from the stairs. Alfred moved to Warlen's table. "Greetings, I am En Sabah Nur. May I join you?" Alfred gave a shallow bow and attempted to grin yet his facial expression did not change and remained devoid of life. Nur sat down then laid back against the stairs as he laughed hysterically to himself.

I had a great time in this quest. It was awesome. Great scenery and story. I didn't mind the pacing because lately I haven't had the amount of time I'd like to participate so when things slowed down I was all for it. Unnecessary out of character comments ruin the immersive experience for me and with Lord Duvors' many disrespectful out of control OoC comments I let the other players play with him and only posted when necessary. En Sabah Nur feels a lack of camaraderie with the other heroes of the Hall and in his opinion, the values of Heroicans aren't what he thinks they should be so he has been regressing to his former fully degenerate self. Nur wanted the Party to somehow believe that the Wolfgang weren't involved with the quest and to throw suspicion from them but I didn't want to type as such because I knew his inner thoughts would somehow be deduced through poor roleplaying so I omitted them and Nur came across as a clueless buffoon. I didn't expect any of the traveling NPC companions to be Wolfgang so that was a neat surprise to me. The golem battle was my favorite only I could have done without the condescending smug smileys in 2/3 of the QM posts. I like that we weren't as prepared as we should have been and that it was the final battle. Without a strategy the battle came out even more interesting in my opinion. I wanted to go see the demon kitty again at the gingerbread house and Nur wanted to ask the Keeper questions but he was told to wait outside O_o. The Seneschal item is really cool and not overpowered at the same time which I appreciate in drop/loot creation. Would the golem heart expired or remained as junk in my inventory if it was not brought to Cinnabar? Fun quest.

"You possess the power to drain the life essence of another and transfer it to yourself to accomplish this? Mag-nificent! Can you create life as well? What other marvelous spells do you know? Are ye in need of an apprentice?" -

Nur coughs briefly into a closed fist. "Yes, well...might we be receiving our payment now? I too met a lady in Vega and 1000 gold would really help to show 'er a good time." His statement was true it'd be nice to find Cinnabar again so soon but Nur was more afraid that when he exited the portal, the Wolfgang and his money might be elsewhere. -

"Ah excellent, thank youthank you. Now that's a proper looking body double..." En Sabah Nur grinned. "Sure thing, friend." From where he was currently standing, Nur kneeled before he got on his stomach then looked over the lip of the whole in the direction directly under where he was laying. "Hey, where are yo-Oh my. The rats are awfully big down there." -

"Well if that is the case, let us dress you with more stylish attire!" En Sabah Nur removes the Robe of the Elven Necromancer and returns it to Althior. "I know...he stole your clothes but this is much better." Nur dressed Alfred in his black bandana headscarf, and shoulder guards & cape combo reminiscent of the mage's original look. -

"Uh huh...And what of them? Did any of those stone workers now animated by dark magic mean anything to you?" OoC: Dang, can he get inside first? Nur and Alfred enter the Tower expertly navigating the building's insides as if they somehow knew right where to go to rejoin the Party who apparently explain the situation. "Well alright then...this man look familiar to you? Seneschal, Alf Seneschal. He's here to help." En Sabah Nur hands a Flood Bomb (20), three Fire Bombs (15), two Lightning Bombs(10), two Ice Bombs (10), two Floral Bombs (10), one Dirt Bomb (5) and two Trail of Dust Bombs (10) down to Hodurr for a total of 80 damage. "Dain and Eric can contribute the rest." Nur takes a moment to fully observe his surroundings as he waits for K-Nut to control the NPCs to place bombs.
