Bricklinked UCS Millennium Falcon - MODded heavily
Robert_88 replied to ScottishDave's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Nice job! This is a model where you can (or maybe even should) use obviously used parts. Maybe I will use LEDs in my Falcon as well (when I have all parts). -
Imperiumdersteine.de I don't beleive it too.
-
Mirkwood Elf Army
-
I read in another forum that the UCS Slave 1 will be released on April 28th. Don't know if the source is reliable.
-
Very nice!
-
I think it is a bit too early for a new MF! It would be nice though. I'm sure it will be an updated version and not a re-release.
-
I expected this but not in the next five years.
-
I hope the Sandcrawler will be an uptaded 10144 with a lot of minifigs and Lars homestead. That would be great.

This is amazing! I love it!

I don't think the Lego Movie is very important in this case. TLG knew exactly when they will release this movie and how important it will be in 2014.
-
My theory for LotR is: They planned to release the TABA sets in summer wave 2014 (according to the original movie release date) and the LotR sets afterwards. Then when the release date was pushed back to December it was already too late to bring the LotR sets in the summer wave. Does that make sense?

It's great to see these pictures! I will definitely buy the AT-AT, Mos Eisley Cantina and the Snowspeeder. I will also buy the ISD if it is big enough Vader's new face print looks strange. I'm glad he is wearing a helmet
-
Maybe we will get a chrome Chewie! :D
-
I don't know if I will buy the game but I will buy the minifigure. Looks nice!
-
Or maybe we will know it earlier. They will be in the retailer catalogue for the next winter wave if they are released in the first months of 2015.
-
TC-4 is nice but I hope we will get another minifig for May 4th. Especially because it is the 15th anniversary!
-
Yes but it's also safe to assume that we will know this year if we will get more sets.
-
I bought this set a few days ago and it's a very nice set and I love the Imperial Gunners! But one Royal Guard would have been enough ;)
-
It would be very interesting to know which sets weren't allowed by New Line. Unfortunately we will never find out. I hope somebody asks TLG at the NY Toy Fair about the future of Lego LotR. We might hear the typical answers but maybe somebody is allowed to be more specific.

Microfighter (ISD) and the 75034 Death Star Troopers.
-
What did you expect? ;)

Maybe they weren't allowed to show Smaug in the second wave and he isn't in the Lake Town set because the scene will be iconic in the movie. It makes sense because you have to buy both sets to have Smaug in Lake Town. And Smaug in Erebor is interesting as well. I agree that TLG made a few "interesting" choices. We already talked about this in the LotR thread. It would be very interesting to know if those curve balls are as successful as they expected. I doubt that in most cases.
-
I can understand them. Smaug isn't in the Lake Town set because you have to buy two sets to recreate the scene from the third movie and it is small so you should buy Lake Town Chase as well. A cheaper Bo5A set like Mirkwood Elf Army would be better for adults but most kids won't buy this set multiple times.

PJ once said that he wants to make a connection between the two stories (Hobbit and LotR) in the third Hobbit movie. Let's see what he means. Viggo Mortensen once said that you can change certain things as long as you don't change the spirit of the book. I'm still optimistic that PJ doesn't end like George Lucas ;)

I was already expecting something like this. I like the Hobbit movies but I don't love them like LotR. We already have a PJ minifig (pirate of Umbar) and one is enough. :D
