But we got Boba as well. I think it was Jango Fett.
-
He fights against Radagast in AUJ.
-
Which mold? I'm afraid he will not have the same helmet in TABA.

Getting the Witch King from the Hobbit movies is like getting Anakin Skywalker but not Darth Vader
-
Thanks! I hope we will get some photos soon!
-
I hope so too. Something like "the journey continues" is all I want at the moment.

Do you know something?
-
London?

@Lego-Freak: Your're right. Announcing the discontinuation wouldn't make sense. Announcing the continuation (as they do in the instructions) would make sense at a Toy Fair but it is a bit too early for this. @Alcarin: I thought that we should know which sets are coming in Dez/Jan when the winter wave catalouge comes out (and this will happen in 6-7 months)
-
But they will get the catalogues for the next winter wave this summer. We might not get LotR sets this year but we will know if we will get new sets. Is it likely that we will get information about them at the Toy Fair etc.? I'm not talking about details but if they will continue with LotR.

The user "Lobot" tried to bricklink the 10030. He bricklinked the DS II and UCS MF but finally gave up bricklinking the UCS ISD because it was too expensive (he wrote that buying a decent used version is cheaper). I think bricklinking sets can be a very exiting experience but in this case it is not the cheapest way of getting the set.

I think the Modular Buldings are a good example for this. Why do we get e.g. five buildings for 150 € and not one big town for 750 €? Because not everyone wants the whole city. If you want the whole city it doesn't make a difference but TLG benefits from this strategy because some people might only want the Grand Emporium for example. On the other hand the set should feel "complete". Nobody wants to buy three separate floors from a Modular Building and kids love big sets/boxes (at least I did and still do). Just my two cents... @ Minas Tirith: I absolutely agree with you. If TLG wants to make the whole city it needs to be HUGE.

I think they are great minifigs for this set but two of them are enough!
-
Thanks Pablo! I think they must include Greedo! Is there a reason why they shouldn't?
-
Today I got the response from TLG. As expected I got the standard response and they didn't confirm or deny anything. But I didn't expect a lot and I wrote them to show that I'm interested.
-
Thanks for the info! I interested in the new ISD, AT-AT and Cantina. I missed the old versions and I'm already very exited about this wave! :)
-
And some service and store employees think it is not...Who is right? We will find out in the next months.
-
I think this sounds like a standard response for retired themes. You would probably get the same response if you ask them about Indiana Jones sets. But the LotR theme isn't retired because the sets are still available! I'm sure they have more-or-less-standard responses if you ask them about themes and some employees think (because they don't KNOW it) LotR will retire, some think it will continue and some say it's still unsure.

@ScottishDave: Thanks!!! Matt De Lanoy is a genius!

I was thinking about a possible re-release of LotR in 3D (like Jurassic Park last year). But as I said this is very far-fetched. The next winter wave seems like the last realistic option to me.
-
I hope so. It makes sense because of the Blu-Ray/DVD releases and people are still interested. The only other possibility would be a re-release of LotR in 3D but that is very far-fetched at the moment.
-
Very interesting and surprisingly honest for TLG. I will contact them as well to show my interest. I already have all LotR sets so there is not a lot I can do in terms of moving the sales needle. But I can definetly recommend sets like the Pirate Ship. I didn't like it when they released it because I wanted and still want other sets instead but the set IS very, very nice.
-
I know but I'm sure they had known if the second wave will be the last wave. Maybe things changed afterwards but it makes sense and I think the sets support this. As I said this doesn't mean that we will get more LotR sets.
-
I'm pretty sure the second wave isn't the planned end of the LotR theme. I got my fist Hobbit set today (Mirkwood Spiders) and the advertisement says "The Quest of the Fellowship Continues in 2013". The last Hobbit wave is announced as "the journey concludes". This doesn't mean that we will get more sets but I'm sure they planned more sets.
