  1. Perhaps, but the battle would be going a lot faster if Nyx was a normal mage. That's, what, 90+ damage to everyone on a Shield?
  2. AoE's somewhat important in a large party. Effects can cripple an enemy, and a good enough tank render (most) of their attacks useless, but you need people who can effectively hack up opponents when necessary. That's where Assassins come in - raw damage isn't great, but consider how big of a mob of enemies there'll be against a 6 person party. The problem with Berserkers is they're pretty much Immune to Strategy. Such high damage and defense is fantastic, but with a Shield that's useless after you roll it once, and the fact that you can attack one enemy at a time, it's tough to adapt to certain battle situations.
  3. That's very close to the team I have laid out. You're literally one person off.
  4. A small mob of level 2 rats. With SP-piercing fangs and specials that Poison.
  5. Hybros is Hastened, though. And with Docken and Boomingham, 2 enemies can be essentially ignored.
  6. The problem with Raiders is that they're completely based around themselves. For a team, they'd be better off with a Barbarian (stronger Shield), unless they force the Raider to supply everyone with consumables.
  7. Same here. I have the closest thing to a perfect team in my head, now I just need to be able to get everyone together into the hall at once.
  8. Wouldn't it make more sense to treat him as KO'd?
  9. "Oh, I'm savin' him for next round. Even if I hit my hardest, he'll succumg to poisoning rather than to the blade itself. And I don't want that hapennin'."
  10. Atramor draws away from the forefront of the battle behind Boomingham's shield. He stows the flail back into his cloak, instead drawing, with a cruel metallic ring, the Sword of Ancestral Hatred. "I've done my part in this battle, and damn well, if I might add, Boomin'ham. Since we're pretty much cleanin' up the trash at this point, I think there's a few opportunities I can take..." He swipes the deadly weapon at Bosun from the front row. If Bosun doesn't fall, he'll repeat the attack. If he does fall, he'll attack Slaver Orc A from the front row with the Heavy Flail. Jacob maintains his Protective Stance, but presses it to his advantage, jabbing at Blister from the front row.
  11. Thanks, Hinck. It's usually in hindsight that I learn how to effectively play a specific role (it's been a jumble the past few games, vengeful spirit, neutral investigator... ) but more importantly, yes, this game really did get me to realize if you're not a proactive townie, your chances of helping your team win are just awful. And your analysis of the entire town was spot-on, nobody ever pulled anyone together. We were apparently close on one night, but then the scum decided to slaughter what might've been a decent town block at once.
  12. Handful of Series 8. Pirate Captain, Cowgirl, and the Businessman. Not as good as Series 7, but not bad.
  13. Computer troubles holding up Quest 40 again, Scuba?
  14. Shield? Useless. Poison? Useless. Special Mirror? Useless.
  15. Happy birthday, Trekkie scum Bob.
  16. It would stack awesome with Aura.
  17. Yeah, that's what the effect does to enemies.
  18. I cannot figure out for the life of me why Docken doesn't have those yet. He's made to absorb free hits, and yet...
  19. Throw the Acerpusculum Cowl at him! Make Cronk angry! He won't like Cronk when he's angry! Um...make Tesni angry...er! Die a heroic death and have Arthur flee so he can spread the tale!
  20. Nostrum keeps you hitting rather than being hit. But it's probably not good for Berserkers, you could your Shield multiple times in a single battle.
  21. It is really fun, but a healing-based Witch isn't such a great idea. Most of the pros of the class are offense-based (Shield roll, poisoning, Special Mirror). But I would love to see Nerwen fight more often anyway. She's outspoken when it comes to the big issues and other heroes, so I could see it happening, but almost eerily reserved the rest of the time. That pretty much defines an elf, to me.
  22. Meh. 500 gold is more than enough for a few Blessed Amulets.
  23. You mean for the duration of the quest...right?
  24. The main boss enemy usually has several immunities. The QMs don't want Scrolls of Blinding and Sealing to pretty much render their boss battle pointless. Though, giving the enemy all positive effects is a bit over the top.
  25. That's even worse.
