Like I mentioned before, it's $290 for the entire collection - unless you don't need Gollum. But having 2 facial expressions for him is too great to miss, he's awesome.
Just noticed - does anyone think Thorin's/Fili's/Kili's hair in dark bluish gray would be a perfect fit for Denethor?
I'm pleasantly surprised (again) at Barrel Escape too. (USD-wise) That's $290 for the entire Hobbit wave, a good 80 or 90 less than Lord of the Rings, but with no real army builders. Fair, for what's being released.
I haven't touched my Lord of the Rings sets, tearing-them-apart-for-MOC-wise, but I know that when I do the parts will be very useful. Same case goes for these sets, nice variation and lots of brown/dark brown/dark tan.
This is actually pretty interesting. I thought at first this was going to be different scenes from different stories, but the fact that it's all connected and is all one big narrative is really cool. The castle is my favorite of them by far, I love the arrangement of the food and the vines in the windows.
