Heroica RPG - Quest #63: The Madness of Marc
CMP replied to Masked Builder's topic in The Heroica Archive
I should only take 6 damage, Major Spirit A is Weakened. Also, Major Spirit A should be Hexed due to my Special Mirror. and Spirit E shouldn't be Afraid, and like Scuba said, Marc should be done but he shouldn't've dealt any damage to the Spirits. Atramor felt an icy chill bite at his body and mind as the spirit walked through his body - but it didn't seem to be feeling exactly good about it either. He turned and began swinging the Heavy Flail wildly at his allies, but Rian smartly poured a Remedy down his throat before he did any damage. He shook his head quickly, coming to his senses. "That's better....anyway, Marc's gone, Ellaria, and bein' afraid isn't gonna do us much harm. I think we still have this. Alchemists, focus on the hexed spirit." With that, he took a violent whirl at Minor Spirits B and C from the front row. I've had a similar idea, although for an element completely separate from the basic nine. (For example, Bloodstone - Enables the casting of blood-elemental spells, dealing double damage to Humanoids, Vermin, and Beasts, but with no effect on Mechanical or Undead enemies.)

I know, I'm just saying you don't have to require it to have heroes to do it. Although it does make an interesting change for it to be a requirement. I'm intrigued to see the postings, since I'll probably be back in the Hall by then, and you can't go wrong with another Zepher Quest.

I don't think there's anything preventing people from signing up as parties, just doesn't happen often anymore, save for the Fields.
-
Counting Rhodus, The Bleeding, The Wound, Aquos, the Suffering, Eidolon, and the Regret?
-
Ahem. Not all Rogues have gold-raking Shields, you know.
-
He could get to 32 WP on the Murkwood Thread with that.
-
Just ask your QM for four NPC Alchemists, you'll never need to burn a consumable again. No, it doesn't.
-
Liking Tarn's new look.
-
Here's one. Not particularly pirate-like, but I don't have many parts that look armored that do.
-
I share those thoughts.
-
I can only imagine how long that'll be.
-
Yep, both can.

First rule of big storylines: minibosses first. Though that would be pretty cool. I half expect Violetta and Donny to be there too. One Wolfgang leader for each miniparty.
-
Agreed. I can name all the dwarves just by their appearance, having seen the movie enough times, where in the book there's one beard color, one hood, and one personality for every two dwarves. It's fun and all, but like you said, it makes them each a lot more unique.
-
This Steerpike sounds like a reasonable guy to me.
-
Yeah. You know, if he wants more followers, all he needs to do is make gold rain from the sky over his shrine once in a while.

Atramor isn't really religious. He thinks the gods do exist, and he was proven right on that with Wren, but the most he does for the gods are sailing traditions and such for Neron and Neredice, though more out of habit than to actually appease them. I mean, if gods actually did give people gold, he'd be all over that.
-
Hey, Druids and Witches don't earn as much as gold you might think. We actually need this stuff.

Once again, Atramor's abilities surprised even him, as Marc summoned a defeated spirit. He wasn't quite sure how exactly the mage had done it, but it seemed just by copying his movements, Atramor summoned an identical copy, though with a sickly orange glow, preparing to fight for his party. He blinked, then chuckled, taking another pair of swings at Major Spirit A and Minor Spirit B from the front row. "John, make sure Guts and Ashley stay on their feet, and, uh....friendly spirit or....whatever, go attack your twin." Battle Order Ellaria weakens Major Spirit A, back row - Ellaria weakened Major (or Major, if previous attempt failed) Spirit A, back row - Atramor attacks Major Spirit A, front row - Atramor attacks Minor Spirit B, front row - John uses Potion on Ashley John uses Potion on Guts Guts attacks Marc, front row - Guts attacks Marc, front row - John attacks Minor Spirit A, front row - John attacks Minor Spirit A, front row - Claude attacks Minor Spirit B, back row - Claude attacks Minor Spirit B, back row - Ashley attacks Minor Spirit C, back row - Ashley attacks Minor Spirit D, back row - Rian attacks Minor Spirit E, back row - Rian attacks Minor Spirit F, back row - Major Spirit A attacks Major Spirit A, front row - -
About what I expected, but damn, that is just absolutely beautiful. :wub_drool:

Fixed for you.

Liking the new Arthur. Like WBD said, it's believable, yet puts him on a completely different track. He reminds me of the old Arthur pre-Quest 31, who frankly I much preferred over Chaos nut Arthur. I'm sure he and Atramor could be friends again, if Atramor somehow stopped hating him.

It'll do no damage because a Diamond is not effective against Plant enemies, and an Emerald is ineffective. If it was a Ruby and an Emerald, it'd be a different story.
