BEST. LEGO. HEADPIECE. EVER. Wow. I'm really excited for this theme. The aliens, ships... Everything looks fantastic so far.
-
Darn it Lego, I have now half the mind to skip the Winter sets and go full steam ahead with the Summer ones... Well, it's a tried-and-tested formula that achieved a great level of success with Bionicle, so I guess Lego is going along with that... For now.

White? Sweet. Also, take a look at the trans-green pieces on Rocka and the Nex/Stringer combiner - there's a picture of the respective animals the Heroes represent in their respective colour. Cool.

ROCKA 3.0 IS GOLD? Wow. I'm surprised, and very, very pleased. That means having a purple Hero isn't too far-fetched after all. Also, I'm glad that the 'nametags' are trans-green. While I still don't like them, they are definitely more subtle and would stand out less than if they were solid green. Both Rockas are now definite buys for me. Woot! EDIT: I didn't quite catch it in the prelims and the video - what's Rocka's secondary colour? As in, what's the colour of his core/head?

Great. You just made me waste 1 hour of my time. Just kidding. On the contrary, it was time well spent. The storyline was captivating, the artwork was nothing short of AMAZING, and best of all, zero grammatical errors. (Yes, I'm a grammar Nazi. No pun intended.) I haven't yet finished the story though, my eyes are getting too tired. But this is really fantastic, one of the best Lego comics I've seen. Just curious, how did you render the virtual Lego? It seems like a lot of work and effort has been put in, I really have to applaud you for your dedication. Keep up the good work!

I haven't had a close look at the image, but it would make sense. The latest wave of Hero Factory sets had lightsaber blades in a darker blue.

Steampunk, although that probably won't happen. Otherwise, I would love an underwater theme. Sure, we've had Bionicle's Mahri Nui, but precisely for that reason I would want an underwater theme for HF. Bionicle paved the way for HF, we could see some interesting use of parts from Mahri Nui over.

You are an artistic genius. These are works of art. I'm really loving the face on Thunder's torso. Corroder's face is also really well done. The only problems with this is that Xplode looks nothing like the original (but I still love it) and Meltdown's face really resembles Shockwave from Transformers Animated, but I guess that makes him even more awesome. Keep it up! Will you be doing Von Nebula and Rotor?

A friend of mine from overseas mentioned the quality of the plastic feels cheap - do the Heroes and Villains use China plastic? Sets won't be arriving in my country until February, so sadly I haven't had a chance to purchase any... Yet.

I agree. I noticed that on Evo's bio before but didn't mention it. Maybe that's why he's not joining the rest of them on Savage Planet.
-
I don't live in the US - is it possible for me to order replacement parts, then?

Please keep on topic, guys... I just noticed the Geonosian in the Geo Starfighter set is green. Weren't the Geos brown in CW?

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion
Aethersprite replied to Corvus's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I, for one, thought that was a brilliant episode. I never thought I'd see the Force used in CW like it was in The Force Unleashed. The Temple of Devaron battle really cracked me up, in a good way, the way Savage totally owned that poor Jedi was so epic it was hilarious. I had doubts about Savage at first, but now I really like him. Darth Maul was a really cool character, I'm glad CW sort of 'revived' him. He has potential, and I'm confident future episodes won't disappoint. Also, really looking forward to the Dathomir Speeder set. -
Actually, it isn't all bad. While it has some major flaws, it's not as bad as you guys make it out to be. The minifigs themselves are worth it, though, so I'm getting this set nevertheless.

I agree. This new system must have cost them a lot of new molds, and justifies a little cost-cutting. For that I've forgiven Lego for the dual-sided masks, but just for the Winter 2011 wave. EDIT: By the way, due to the fact that the spears are made of flexible rubber, do they fall off the weapons of Stormer 2.0 and Evo 2.0 easily?
-
I hope Fangz has some back articulation. With the new building system it's perfectly possible. I would love to be able the align Fangz's back spines.
-
I don't know about you guys, but suddenly this whole animal theme is starting to remind me of Power Rangers.

Well, I am not a BZP member so I haven't seen these pics. Thanks Jouster for posting them here. These pics have totally changed my opinion on most of the heroes. Rocka's helmet looks to have potential to be badass, though I'll wait to see actual finalized pictures before deciding. Furno also looks fabulous, I love his falcon theme, though his weapon is pathetic. I mean, seriously, Lego? Why did you reuse an old weapon? The wings are awesome, though, and I might still get him anyway.
-
I can see Furno 2.0 doing that, but Stormer 2.0's Mahri tube would get in the way.
-
Yup, they're just names, nothing we haven't seen before. The juicy thing about this picture is that it was found (i.e. leaked) on the Lego website. Nice find, Bfahome! EDIT: Ninja'ed.
-
It leads to a blank picture.
-
Well, BZP's forte is Bionicle, and seeing how Bionicle ended... Anyway, what is Stormer's weapon, exactly? Aside from shooting those ice spears, I don't foresee him using that hook-blade piece with it positioned like that.
-
Ugh! I should've guessed! Beyblades have metal pieces like the ones on the Ninjago ones to ensure a better spin, I should have related the two. Still not buying the tops now though. I'll wait for the ones with the better figs in the summer.
-
Woah. Do you live outside the US? I live in Singapore and won't see the HF sets till February, so hopefully the sets then will come with the new sockets.
-
Oh. Well that sucks. Jetbug was the only villain I was planning to get. No matter.
