Speaking of red - is that Metru red I see? Still don't get the claws on his back. Otherwise, I'm really liking him. Also: Does Surge have 2 hands...? I asked this before, but the HD pics are as useless as the prelims in answering this, heh.

BP looks much better. Still don't get the white on Breez and Furno, though.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Aethersprite replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hmm. Any reason why they made the Interceptor green and not yellow? -
Speaking of that, can anyone tell if Surge has a second hand holding his gun?

I doubt there'll be such a drastic reboot. In my opinion the move to Bara Magna was an attempt to "reboot" the franchise, but I guess things didn't work out and they started on HF. On a side note, when do official pictures usually surface? I know it's greedy that we got prelims and I'm asking for official pics already, but just wondering.

They look cool, but I doubt it. Those shoulderpads are probably same as the Hero's, and I'm guessing the chest piece is from the Superheroes line. I don't get what's the point of the 2 blades on his back with the tubes sticking out, though. To add bulk?

I do hope TLG recolours the Thornax launcher white, then it'd be perfect!
-
I do hope Lego fixes Black Phantom, he has quite the potential to be a great set, given the plethora of parts he has. Also, I just noticed that bug shooter is actually handheld, and not part of his hand. If you look closely you'll notice that it might actually be a real bug, with the Savage Planet claws as tiny legs. Pretty interesting.

I agree, gears were fun, but these are action figures. I prefer posability and articulation over gears, to be honest. The best way gears can be used here would be in vehicles. 2008/2009 Bionicle vehicles did that very well.

Well, no one said it was Unicron. Could be one of his heralds. Going by what has been going on in the series so far, I'd say Unicron is the Earth. The description for the 3rd part of the finale has the Autobots slogging it out in the Earth's core.
-
The producers mentioned it during Comic Con, but nothing confirmed so far. Also, here's a teaser to the season finale! Finally after a month from the Canada airing of One Shall Fall we get to see the finale.

Very nice! You captured the feminine look very well, but the Hero chest as a skirt just doesn't cut it for me, it looks too odd.
-
I agree about the similarities between the 2012 sets and Bionicle. Surge can easily pass off as a Toa of Lightning, Rocka as the next Takanuva, and you have to agree that Breez's pose in that picture resembles a certain Lewa Phantoka, no?

To be fair, IMO, Evo has the most complete design of them all. His armour flows very well, the rest seem a bit messy.
-
Not sure about body piece, but they use the same body armour as the Superheroes. And for the record, these are not labelled as 4.0s.
-
What's with the white thighs on Furno and Breez? They look really out of place.
-
The only thing that puts me off about Batman is his pudgy face, otherwise I think I'll be getting him. That said - seems the Hulk's retaining those gunmetal plates. Why, Lego, why? He could have been the best one of them all if those plates were lime green instead.
-
Yup, but he is the main character, and the fact that he's appeared in all 4 waves so far probably means he'll be here to stay. Unless they come up with a whole new team of Heroes, of course.
-
Nah, I think they'll keep Furno. I do want Bulk and Stringer badly though, and Nex for some continuity.
-
...It just hit me that none of the Heroes are labelled as 4.0. What could this mean?
-
Ah, I see, thanks. Surge looks very cluttered, and I'm not a fan of that lime green, but if he comes with 2 hands I wouldn't mind buying him. (I'm weird like that.) I know it's too early to say, but I'm praying and hoping for a LE set next year.

Does Surge have a second hand for holding his blaster?
-
Can anyone manage to see if Surge has a second fist to wield his gun? Also, I don't really like the fact that he has lime green fists. His colour scheme is kind of odd - while it worked with his 2.0 form, bringing out the lime green like this looks... Weird. Also, don't really like the white on Furno and Breez. Just noticed that Toxic Reapa has no armour on his lower limbs and he's using Avtoran feet. Otherwise, amazing figure, like I said.
-
I just noticed the spear piece on Rocka's launcher. Combined with the 2.0 villain blades positioned at that angle, it looks like a huge, hulking, laser-shooting crossbow. Badass.

I have to say: These are absolutely AMAZING! Oh my goodness. I have mixed feelings about reusing the 1.0 heads (and weapon, for Surge) but they were awesome anyway. Also, loving the Breakout theme and the new handcuff pieces. Furno: Meh. Breez: Love that sword, otherwise a pass. Suge: His 1.0 helmet doesn't really fit him, but I may get him nonetheless. Evo: FANTASTIC. I absolutely love how his helmet echoes his 2.0's helmet design. And loving his colour scheme. Really giving off the heavy weapons vibe here, a definite buy. Rocka: AMAZING. That honeycomb thing on his arm is weird, though. Still - loving his helmet (could do with my love for Kopaka, heh), and all that gold armour, plus his cannon arm. Wow. With those blades it looks like a crossbow. Definite buy. Thornraxx: Ehh. I have mixed feelings about this guy. I have too many Bionicle/HF bugs already, might pass on this one. Toxic Reapa: He looks like some fat toad. Nevertheless, he has some odd appeal to him. Loving the green flames. His overall look just gels together very well. A definite buy, my favourite villain. Jawblade: WOOHOO A SHARK! That alone warrants a purchase from me. I wish they would give him the characteristic shark fin though, a Quaza spike could easily do the job. Still, very nice. Pulls off the shark look really well even with the hands. Looking forward to those lovely recoloured red Furno blades. Splitface: Wow. Just wow. This guy looks like he walked out of an Iron Man movie. Fantastic. A definite buy. Black Phantom: Yucks. Puts the other villains to shame. He looks worse than Fire Lord! I really have to applaud TLG for the use of the Thornax launcher here. Although it's still the same ball and 1 half of the original launcher, I love how they decided to give us a second, new piece to cover it. It really gives a refreshing new look to the launcher, fantastic job.
