  1. City just got their final set pictures leaked, fingers crossed that the same will happen for Star Wars soon!
  2. Hmm. I remember the official images using a different hairpiece for Tony - I hope that the hairpiece in the image is a replacement, and not the final product.
  3. That's awesome. Fingers crossed that the U-Wing Microfighter pilot comes with an updated helmet as well.
  4. Do you guys think we'll get a new Milano this time around, or Rocket's Warbird? I missed out on the previous Milano and would love to get a new version!
  5. I think it's fairly certain that we'd get Yondu and Mantis this time around.
  6. Other than Moroff and the pilot, do we know what other minifigs are coming with the Y-Wing?
  7. I believe the trailer that came out a couple weeks ago was the final trailer? It was the best trailer we got so far IMO, the previous ones were very underwhelming. But that last trailer has got me pumped! I think I've seen it more than 20 times. Also, the latest trailer has a very generous dosage of Krennic's shuttle. We barely saw it in previous footage, so I'm glad to see it featured more heavily in the latest trailer. The Lego model looks great in comparison!
  8. Thanks for the review, Oky! Unfortunately, the StarScavenger is a very poor set, in my opinion. The Eclipse Fighter is so much better, and the fact that it includes Dengar is another major sell for the set. There's a discrepancy in your review, though - you repeated an image of the back of Dengar's speeder where you intended to show how his speeder looks like in the show!
  9. Lego would prefer to keep the detailed Boba with the UCS Slave I, as an incentive for people to pick up the UCS set and to 'reward' those who own it. I like it this way. Keep the better version of a minifig to an expensive set, but release the regular version in cheap sets for wider access to the general public, especially kids.
  10. Yep, but Lego has been getting tighter with their security recently.
  11. Boba, Han, and the Weequay are confirmed - if past iterations are any indication, I assume the last figure is Luke?
  12. Props for originality. I love it!
  13. In the prelims for the U-Wing and Y-Wing Microfighters, it looks like the minifigs come with dual molded helmets but it's hard to tell given the blurriness of the photos. With the reveal that the Y-Wing pilot comes with a dual-molded helmet, could it be possible that the Microfighters pilots do as well?
  14. So the Skiff comes with Luke, Han, Boba, and the Weequay, am I right? I don't own the previous iteration so I might get this one.
  15. I think that Lego will definitely update the X-Wing helmet to include a dual-molded visor in the next System iteration of the T-65 X-Wing. Love the new Y-Wing helmet! It only makes the set more desirable for me.
  16. No one knows when exactly Lego releases pictures... But if past waves are to go by, we usually get official pictures by December. If we're lucky, some errant retailer will leak them by accident before that.
  17. You're right; I was generalizing a bit in my original post. Right now, what Lego is doing is relying on other means - like copyright, trademark, and registered design - to protect its designs where patents have expired.
  18. Hello! I'm doing a project researching on Lego's lawsuits in enforcing its IP and protecting the Lego brand. In particularly, I'll be focusing on the area of trademark law, which seems to be the area of law that Lego is focusing on in its lawsuits. Using trademark law to protect the Lego brick might sound odd, but to give some brief context, this is because Lego can no longer rely on patent or copyright causes of action. Its patents have expired and the concept of the Lego brick doesn't lend itself to qualify for copyright registration in some countries. I've compiled a list of many of Lego's cases in the EU, Canada and United States - in particular, I'm also looking for Lego cases in other countries such as Japan, Australia, or China. If you guys have read about any trademark cases in these jurisdictions, or any interesting cases involving Lego's trademarks in general, do let me know!
  19. The wings should be larger/longer, but given the fact that you threw this together on a whim, it looks great regardless!
  20. I'm a vehicle collector so I welcome more vehicles - but the reason why I'm not a huge fan of location-based sets is that they're usually quite lacklustre and small. Personally, the most memorable location-based set in recent memory is Jabba's palace.
  21. Agreed. If an obscure character is rare, fine. But Vader is one of, if not the most prominent character in Star Wars. I'm glad that like Boba Fett, Lego is releasing Vader in a cheap set. Everyone should have the opportunity to own these figures.
  22. This looks great! Is it just me, or does the dentist look like Director Krennic? Retirement plan after the Death Star plans got stolen, perhaps? All those new elements look fantastic. Can't wait to see what MOCists do with them.
  23. I can't emphasize this more. You can't be more right. I guess it shows the state of the LSW fanbase - it's all about the minifigs. Personally, I can't wait for the Quadjumper! I'm one of those fans clamouring for a set of it since TFA came out. Lego has shown to be willing to produce obscure ships and the Quadjumper is one of the more interesting TFA designs in my opinion.
  24. Thanks for doing this! It's very informative. Lego will always beat other copycats because it's so much more superior quality-wise.
  25. Thinking about it, it'd really not make sense for Lego not to produce any Rebels sets. An ongoing show is the best source material to base sets on. Given the copious amounts of TCW sets we got, I'd say that Rebels sets should be a given each wave. That's plausible. Do you have a picture of it?
