LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
Aethersprite replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah, it's nice to keep things fresh, like Yoda's JSF. It came out of nowhere. I'm quite surprised that this wave is so lacking on Rebels sets, other than the Phantom 2.0. One would think that Lego would capitalize on the TV show, given the copious amounts of sets they released from The Clone Wars... And it's not like Rebels has a shortage of new, interesting vehicles either. EDIT: I don't mind Thrawn's facial expression, but I can't get over his lack of red eyes. It's such a characteristic feature of Thrawn. Hopefully the final product features red eyes; what we have is just a blurry pic. -

We got the Azure Angel last year - that came out of nowhere. You never know! -

Yeah, I don't think we've heard of the six summer sets yet. Nice find! The Shoretrooper is a must-buy. Looks like he comes with a plastic skirt piece, like the Deathtrooper's pauldron. -

The new Phantom looks incredible. An absolute must-buy. The storage crate suggests that it has some interior space! Sad that the Y-Wing pilot doesn't have a molded visor, but everything else about the set is perfect! Yoda's JSF looks much better in official pictures. I'm slightly disappointed that the wings can't fold in all the way, but this will have to do. Duel of the Fates looks pretty good in terms of the build - shame Maul has his smiling face, though. -

I didn't realize that. Thanks for pointing that out. Props to Lego for differentiating them more. -

Isn't the Death Trooper in the BP the exact same one in Krennic's shuttle, but with a different blaster and lacking the shoulder pauldron? Or is there a difference in the torso/leg printing that I'm missing? -
Update: I can post on the TLBM thread on mobile! Works fine. The problem persists when I'm on the computer, though.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

All the better - I use Lego as an incentive to work toward to when I have finals or exams! Anyway, is there a reason why only 4 sets are being released one month earlier, with the rest slated for next year...? -

Hmm. The left knee (the only one viewable on the boxart) looks the same to me! What are you referring to? I'm fine with the minor change, though. I didn't army build the old OT Stormie, but the new BP looks prime for army building. -

If you see the latest RO trailer, in the starting scene where Krennic is leading about 10 Death Troopers to see Galen Erso - look closely and you'll notice that only a couple of them (closest to Krennic) have the pauldrons. The rest are just standard Death Troopers. -

No, I'm talking about the old OT ones (or the ones that came out in the past couple of years). I'm not talking about the "upside-down" V-shaped vent thingamajig. It's the vents on the side of the helmets - I'm looking at my OT Stormie from the UCS Slave I and the side vents are blue, not grey like in the BP! Or am I just really bad with colours? EDIT: Okay, so it's dark blue-ish, but the side vents in the Imperial BP look clearly greyish-black to me! What do you guys think? The Stormie below is from the UCS Slave I. -
Just tried logging in and out, the problem remains! I'll try it on mobile later on.

I noticed this glaring omission, too. A retailer exclusive, perhaps? Or the summer wave? -

That Y-Wing looks astounding. Instabuy for me. Great selection of minifigs as well. It's been confirmed to be $60, right? Bunker Battle looks weak IMO; its only draw are the Scarif Shoretroopers. Also quite surprised to see the new Rebel pilot minifig in the U-Wing instead of the Y-Wing MF! All the more incentive to get the U-Wing. Finally, while I'm glad we're finally getting OT Stormies in a BP, I noticed that they differ slightly from the ones we already have - the "vents" on the side of the helmets of the new ones are in grey, not blue like the old ones. Can't wait to see the rest! -
May day! Whenever I press the 'quote' button or click in the reply box at the bottom of the page in this thread (TLBM discussion thread), I get the quote box below and I can't type anything in, nor can I delete the quote box. Seems to work fine on this thread. Help?

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Aethersprite replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I've noticed a trend for the TLBM wave - the small sets are very reasonably priced, but the larger sets are ridiculous. First $50 for the Lowrider and now $70 for the Croc set?! EDIT: Mods, not sure what's wrong with the formatting of my post - I can't seem to delete the quote boxes on top of my response. EDIT 2: Yeah, might have been a problem with the new format of the forum... Thanks for the edit, anyway! -

We won't know when pictures will be shown. But do we have a release date for the Penguin exclusive? Is it 1st January, like the rest of the wave? -

Hoth Bricks is a Lego Star Wars fansite, after all - I'd wager that they're saving the best for last. IIRC they don't release pictures over the weekend? Which means that we'll see Star Wars sometime next week. -

Yeah, I suppose that's why he's standing on a base. I wonder how they integrated the six-shooter with a minifig gun... Not Batman - it's a target dummy with Batman's cowl. -

Why did we have the impression that it'd be Penguin's Limousine, in the first place? Was it based on pure speculation off the screenshot of his limo as seen in the trailer (that Sci posted), or did we have an actual rumour? Also, "Arctic Roller" might still refer to an actual limo, just with a swanky name. -

I don't believe that most leakers "draw things out" on purpose - they release whatever they get, when they get it. We're not entitled to these images. By right, we're supposed to see them only when Lego releases them on its website, not via Hoth Bricks or other fan sites. Be patient! We'll see them soon enough.
