  1. What would be a more terrible suspicious position to be in would be the one to avoid a lynch by not being the deciding vote. Unless you genuinely believe we will benefit from a no lynch, your just being a road block. If you didn't wanna be the deciding vote, you shoulda done something earlier. It's time to make tough decisions...
  2. Ok guys, tremain (adventurer1) or carol (calanon)? I've stated my case against carol and I still hold it as being the most suspicious thing I've seen on this day 1. A day 1 lynch is rarely accurate, by highly important!
  3. Meta-gaming already are we? Very well then, I will play along. First, the only time I was scum was in a mafia school game (see my signature), a game you hosted as I recall. And in that game i based my entire playing style from previous observations of your style. In that game, I was actually quite the leader since most others were new, I was hardly a follower. But since your typical style is to cast a wide net of suspicions, I hardly take offence. My vote was based off my obsevations of what I had seen, I would have voted that same had I made those same observations yesterday, I just happened to be asleep during the time the posts were made.
  4. Dear me, I go to sleep for just a bit and I miss some really good accusing! Ok, this does strike me as a bit odd. The soft support for the speaker without really committing comes off scummy (note: "I trust you more than others and significantly less than others" or "we go with Siegfried being loyal, but we should be cautious). It seems like mrs. Nottingham is walking the line. This has got my attention. vote carol Nottingham (calanon) I will note that this vote concerns me for two reasons. 1) early voting trends rarely seem to hold together because people get flighty when others agree with them. 2) it puts me in an odd position because I'm late to the vote, making me out to be suspicious. But with that being said, I truly feel that she is currently our best candidate in an otherwise week day 1 field.
  5. Umm...I only quoted you because your vote was the only one that bothered me. His vote had some justification, even if I didn't agree with it. Oh, and the speaker vote closed out awhile ago. But if we're allowed to still vote just to make ourselves look good then Speaker: Speedy (Siegfried Dixon) See, I'm just like you guys!
  6. You know, when I initially read your comment, I was going to respond that my statement was directed towards both of you, but on second thought I'm going to stand my ground. The accusation against you was based on your abstaining. While I personally saw no problem with your no vote, it's a reasonable reason to vote. You, on the other hand, pulled the old "you suspect me so I suspect you" argument, which I find weak and baseless.
  7. Ok, this ability seems to fit the nature of the role you won, so I'm inclined to believe you're being honest in that regard. Are we already accusing based on flimsy/no evidence??! Seems like everytime I go into parliament people are just pointing accusing fingers for no reason...still plenty of time folks, still plenty of time. If your best argument is "he voted for me so he's scum" your not gonna get very far.
  8. Well, for better or for worse, we have Siegfried as our speaker, this could be the best or worse decision of the game. Moving on now, my question is, do we suspect that at least 2 scum voted together to attempt electing one of their own or did they avoid a power play this early on?
  9. Maybe not, but it's a statement vote regarding who we can actually trust this early on. I'm not ready to cast my lot in with anyone, my trust must be earned.
  10. While I am a huge advocate for voting everytime, I feel like this is different. At least for lynchings, we have a few days to build hunches, this vote is so quick that the only person I trust is...well... speaker:J Leroy McCoy (jluck) Because if you think it's so important to vote, i will vote for the one I can trust. And if anyone else is looking for a good reason to vote for someone here's my campaign: I am easy to work with, work with the legislative body as well as individual legislators, am active and honest, and can lead when called on. Seems like I can be as good a speaker as all the other folks, and it seems time for some new blood anyways.
  11. Ok, I want to step in briefly and point something out. We've all worked with Rep. Dixon in the past on various committees and we know how he opporates. He can be your best friend when he's with you but your worst enemy when the tables turn. As a upstanding and long serving politician, I am all for selling my soul when it benefits me, but i urge caution in this situation. If we gamble and Dixon is with Octon, this legislative body could be out in the time it takes to kiss a baby.
  12. That's really a good point. We have no reason to trust anyone other than ourselves, because even if someone has helped us in a previous political battle, they could have had alterior motives. Right now, I'm inclined to push for you all to vote for me, because I know I'm a townie so that's the best info I have to go on
  13. Would you be interested in said position?
  14. What a quick turn of event, Montgomery certainly has a way of getting people going. And why am I not surprised, someone throws a bone out and the old dogs all go barking after it. dont you think you've had your time at the top? It's time for fresh leadership, leadership that my fellow veteran legislators and I could provide. We have experience, yet we aren't part of the establishment. I think we all know that the speaker was most friendly with his old dog pals, so I think it's time to get some fresh blood flowing in the front. Experience and change, not more of the same! Experience and change, not more of the same!
  15. Silver City? Ain't silver a thang of the past? All the value is in gold now...I'd much rather gold.
  16. J. Leroy King present for what appears to be the most intriguing roun of legislation to date.
  17. Pastor, huh? Id like to see how you combined your hobby and your occupation Welcome!
  18. Last chance to sign up for the new game! Roles are being sent out and the game starts Friday likely!
  19. You may still be able to play depending on when the game starts. Tammo said there'd be time off for Christmas!
  20. Good idea, I posted in the your mafia school thread hoping to get some of those folks to play as well. Hopefully, we get a strong response because I'm suffering from Mafia withdraws!
  21. Hey everyone, I'm hoping this will show up on your "my content" page so that's why I'm posting here. A new mafia game has just been added so if you completed mafia school with a passing grade, join up and hone those skills! Here's the link: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=103236&hl= The host is great and his games are always fun, so hurry before it fills up!
  22. The wait is finally over! 1. What is your mafia experience here on EB? How about other sites? See my signature, no other sites. 2. What do you think of your performance in EB Mafia so far? What are your strengths and weakness? What do you want to improve? I had a great recent game, slipped up at the end though. I hope folks don't metagame and act overly suspicious of me since last game I played strong town as a scum. Strengths: team player, work with others Weaknesses: not good at the pm game 3. If you just graduated from Mafia School - have you read any other mafia games on EB? If so, what have you learned from them? I didn't...just graduate that is 4. Will you be able to post every game day? More importantly, will you be able to truly participate in the game (as opposed to showing up to post once and clocking out)? If not, reconsider your application. My track record is strong 5. Finally, the fun question. What is your favorite LEGO theme? Traditionally western, though the architect series is my current favorite.
  23. a statue you say?! Now I'm interested!
  24. Plus shipping to all 168 winners! Instead of prying into copMike's financial records, I'll just say thank you copMike, your sacrifice (including the time commitment) is extremely appreciated by all here.
  25. You're exactly right. For example, on day one there are 168 prizes and 210 entries so the overall odds are 80% but your odds of winning on day 1 are 7 out of 210 or 3%. On day 2 there are 161 prizes and 203 eligible entries, so the odds are 79% but your daily odds are now 7 out of 203 or 3.4%. For those curious, tomorrow's odds of winning are 7 out of 182 or 3.8%, but don't worry, you still have a 76.9% chance of winning this year Congrats to all the lucky ones so far!
