  1. really like you approach to thatched roofs. I haven't come up with anything too decent, so I might try this next time I build a village house. The rest looks great too!
  2. I actually didn't use it since its not pinned. On the other hand thought, there already is a whole bunch of pinned threads. Why can't you merge this with roguang's moc index?
  3. btw, I've wondered for a few weeks now, but what excactly is N3 Nu Breed?
  4. its always good to say a new approach to Nocturnus. Way to go Nemo!
  5. So far it was not really a guild of its own but a mere playground for our Historica characters. But maybe this will change, I don't know ...
  6. thanks guys, glad you like it! @ska: I started building this in October with about 250 2*1 plates and have since then constantly run out of them. Actually there are still wholes in the back of the larger building but I was so fed up with this, that only took pictures from upfront! @kai: yeah man, I'm really proud of this ship and now have to defend it against my kids who also thinks its pretty cool!
  7. I figured that snot rocks are the way to go! I had tested it originally in my Valholl part two building on a small scale and forgot about it until Z used it on a larger section. More snot rock work to come soon!
  8. @DG: I really like the architecture of monasteries. Hence the idea! @Gideon: I visited the location of the film shoot a few months ago and thought that I had to build it in LEGO. Cool thing you recognized it!
  9. Thanks for the positive feedback guys. This thing started out as a test for the dark tan brick bricks and possible color combinations. Problem was that I only had five of these really nice bricks. That's why I came to think of a half burnt house.
  10. the last moc is one of your best ones so far! Love the teddy bear!
  11. Great stuff, really impressive layout and building. Time to see more ASOIF stuff here! Maybe I'll build something too. The only thing I'd complain about would be the wrong choice of colors, but that has been said before!
  12. oh boy, what a great project goh is. Just take a look at how many of us have improved as builders and continue to do so! That's what it was all about and I'd say therefore it was a great success! Can't wait to see what's next in this great community!
  13. Thanks friendly regulator! (I'm actually not that familiar with all the different titles and the powers connected to them) Yeah, the rigging was a pain in the butt. But I guess it was worth it. Maybe I could have added the one or the other string, but then I wouldn't have made the dealine. Neither did I have the time to delete the errors in the pictures. But I'm glad I was able to enter something in all six challenges as I was about to give up during challenge three!
  14. Wow, what a story, what an end! And so many great builds, I really envy your skills and bow down! Mitgardia or splinter group? Not really a question for any true Mitgardian!
  15. So many cool things to look at. It's going to be ever so hard deciding which entry to like best. Btw, the detail I like the most is the Uruk falling from the battlement! It looks just ever so organic, cool to see what you can do with a handfull of plastic bricks!
  16. Wow, so many great details. The thing I like best though is your Valholl city gate. Such an authentic structure, so very medieval. I love it!! Good to have such an amazing builder as guild leader in Mitgardia!
  17. the castle, the throne room, the ravine, everything is so beautiful! I also like quite a bit that you try to include Varlyrian mercinaries as well!
  18. BB, some very nice Mitgardian architecture. It fits really well with what I've build for the guild I think. I also like all the other things. Well done!
  19. Thanks captn. I'm glad you commented as your opinion actually means a good deal to me! As for the pictures, I finally invested some 500 € into a new camera. I'm glad the photos turned out well. Thanks soccerkid. The strip is in there because I only had grey hinge plates. They also broke the brown ship wall syndrome quite a bit. As for the ships in GoH, this is my third, which actually makes Mitgardia have the largest fleet now! I still have the Arandela Negra but had to break apart the Lady Emma as I need the hull sections for this project.
  20. Very nice ships there, I'm glad we're finally seeing mocs cogs and other kinds of medieval ships. It'd be really cool to have them flaoting next to mine. I mean, Frankfurt is only two hours away ...
  21. Thanks man, actually a few of those Varlyrian sell swords died during the passage! PS: could a friendly mod please remove the "wip" status from the thread and change it to challenge VI entry? thanks
  22. I made it with 3 minutes left on the clock, who can beat that?

    WIP: Carrack

Alright, I build her for the Guilds of Historica challenge VI entry, but I thought I might as well show her here as I'm also interested in what the pirate builders think. So without further ado, the Carrack "Rose of Asgard" is done: more pics here when public: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=522918 PS: this is not a wip anymore, title can be changed
  24. Thanks Legonardo So, the third build is in with two minutes left on the clock! Now I'm really tired and I need to go to bed. Hope you guys like my builds and the story!
