I know it's not the same set but Jesus Christ... UCS Falcon for '$1,149.95' and Endor for $250. Times like this make me feel lucky to have grabbed my Falcon at that Kmart sale. -

For this weekend, Myer has a "buy 2 toys, get 1 free" (cheapest one is free, obviously) meaning if you grab 3 equally priced sets, it's a very nice 33% off. Midi-Falcon or Egg-ship for $40 isn't a bad deal -
Very cute. The super-deformed look reminds me of the Galactic Heroes toys.

Just caved in and picked up a Home One today. Every TRU's stocking them at $200 bananas, so $20 on top of S@H. As a set, it's awesome. Better than (the equally priced) Endor. Lego should make a thing with these large playsets + 1 small vehicle sets. Really nice bunch of minifigs, only thing that gets to me is the A-wing pilot, which hasn't changed in 3 iterations. I hoped that this time they would have given him one of those brown 'leather' cap things that Ten Numb came with in the B-wing (the kind you see the A-wing pilots with in ROTJ). The A-wing is amazing and if I had the parts, would definitely get around modding my other A-wings in this 'engine block' style. -
I absolutely love it! As someone who collects lots of non-Lego Star Wars vehicles, I can recognise all the little details, like the slight gap in the front, the assymetric colour panel scheme, the rear fins, etc. Brilliant. And here I was thinking the new green A-wing in the Home One set was good, it's really surprising you got so much detail and still kept it reasonably within minifig scale.

Welp. It looks like we got screwed either way. Well, at least the 'good' thing is that we don't have to bother searching around for a better priced competitior, being an exclusive. I'll see if my local has it and I'll pick up a set, though I'll probably wait around for a discount before I get a second. -

It would be a sore day for anyone who paid $250 for a taun-taun Echo base isn't all that good value for $40 tbh, it's barely any larger than the average battlepack at twice the price. I'll still prob pick up a 2nd one for a taun-taun, but the new Rebel goggles rule. I got an extra one in my set. -

I gave them a call today but they said the 7754 set (Home One) wasn't even showing up ie they haven't received any. But they do have most of the new sets, picked up Hoth and Tank droid there couple days ago. -

If any Sydneysider's are looking for the tank droid, Hoth or midi-Falcon, Hobbyco in the CBD has plenty of all. -

Has there been an official release for the Home One? Or has anyone see on in stores? It's been on S@H for awhile and I made a few calls to local TRUs today and it was mostly "Home..One?" or "Mon Cala-wha?". Would have been nice if lego released official street dates for each set similar to the Clone Wars launch. -
Today's sets are much, much better than the early ones. Everytime I look at something like my first Sith Infiltrator or Gungan Sub, they're blocky as hell, horrible scale, bad features etc and I personally prefer peach-coloured minifigs. Only worse thing is the price. But you that's a whole other can or worms.

Force Unleashed is basically still OS world so a lot of it overlaps. Since they already made the Rogue Shadow, there's no other recognisable vehicles for them to make sets of and the main minifigs are already released. Personally, I would LOVE to see some Shadows of the Empire sets. Back in the 90s, this was the Force Unleashed of its day and had a great tie-in. The Outrider would make a great set, similar to the smallish 4504 Falcon and then there's the Virago.

In all fairness, it looks quite a bit larger than the Republic Cruiser. The engine block is significantly larger and more complex and the rest looks more 'beefy' as well. But yeah, this thing is going to cost over double how much I paid for the cruiser ($120 at TRU). It's a shame that all these great sets are such a blow to the pocket, but in the end it's Lego's product and no-one's forcing us to pay for them. On that note, has anyone seen a Home One in TRU stores? -

I was expecting $300 RRP too. If it comes out in retail, would have been a nice opportunity to use that 20% off anything in-store online TRU coupon... Nevertheless, I've fallen in love with the Tantive IV set and will happily pay $280 in retail. Now to go back and drool a bit more... -

Endor is a decent set with a bunch of nice figures. The Endor troopers are pretty good, and it comes with the new R2 (can't get enough). The highlight would be the 2x speeder bikes + new AT-ST. The bunker isn't too flashy and the walls pop out pretty easily, but it is fairly screen-accurate so you can either use it as is, or cannibalise it for parts (guilty as charged). For $200, it's a bit on the expensive end of the spectrum but if you're ever going to get this set, might as well get it now. Toyworld rarely has big sales on these things. Hyena isn't that great. I'm not a big fan of seperatist in general, but I wouldn't buy it unless it was at least 30%+ off RRP. If you're referring to the Eiffel Tower and Taj Mahal etc sets, then Myer will def be your best bet. Not sure how long the sale's still going for but they're $295 and $399 respectively (20% off). Until tomorrow, there's an additional 15% off with Myer One members. -
Great rebuild. I would have definitely bought this model as opposed to the piece of trash that that WAS released.

Yeah, but with replacement pieces (I was missing a few 1x6 flat pieces and a few other tidbits in the Death Star), I put in the customer service form last week and the pieces just arrived today with less than 6 days shipping. Sure a whole set is larger, but it shouldn't take that long. -
I'd like an Outrider (minifig scale) with Dash Rendar and LEBO minifigs. No pizza shell like the falcon, a single piece shell covering main cargo hold and generic cockpit. I'm surprised they still haven't gotten around to it, Shadows of the Empire was like Force Unleashed of its day and EU sets are coming out, so why not?

Just came back from my local, the dropship is indeed listed at $299 behind the counter, putting the $100 saving from a $400 set much more in line with the $150/$750 Death Star set. Didn't purchase it, don't have the room/don't need the clones. But I did pick up a couple of leader class transformers figures for $30 (saving of $60-$70 each) -

*mumble grumble* 'stupid parts... rare... have to break this.. and that' *mumble grumble* 'bah, humbug!' Does sound pretty sneaky to make a price cut so soon, I'll have to go check it out. If it's indeed nation wide, a whole lot of people will be cancelling laybys. -

On another note, does anyone know if the King's Castle Siege (Castle) is in stock for any retailer? I tried looking for this set all over the place and never found anything, not even sure if it's been released or came out awhile ago... Don't want to resort to S@H -

It's ultimately TRU's loss. They seem to be the only retailer not having a great toy sale on now and will probably lose a tonne of business this month. Neverhteless, Twilight (TRU exclusive) is now $95 from $150, though I'm still not sure if that's even worth the parts. I paid $50 per spider droid on launch day, with Home One and Tank Droids around the corner, I'll probably be eating ramen for a month to pay this all off. -

I have same problem here. I only get the first flyer page, already bought the midi Falcon so I'd like to get a second subscription to my parents' address. Decent haul this year -Kmart: Death Star, bunch of impulse castle figures ($4), couple droid battlepacks ($14), UCS grievous ($48) -BigW: midi falcon ($47)
