1. The pics aren't working for me... nevermind, now they are... (and I've already seen those pics from earlier) 2. It looks funny, and doesn't really fit. 3. Nice... (any pics of that?) 4. where's that quote from, isn't it like Bill Nye or something? 5. Hi

JUMPER PLATES You'll also need a lot of FLAGS As well as Quite a few HINGES to slant the pieces inward... (Here is the other part of the hinge)

Thanks! Looks like I'll be doing a beagle for the figurehead, might be a bit of a challenge... I also used those (sort of) as belay pins for the Rochester. Currently with the HMS Circumstance, I'm using the same piece as belay pins. (I ran out of the material I was using for the sails, so I've been set back a little on that project) Can't really think of anything better to use... but I haven't even touched a single lego piece in regerds to this project. The sound in the video is english (hooray), but everything else on the site is rather confusing. A nice video, although I already had all the info in the video. You said something about a virtual model, which I couldn't find on the site with the video... Thanks for changing the title too. Now its more suiting....

Thank you for replying so quickly! I want it to be AS CLOSE as possible to the real thing as I can make it (the Futtock rigging on the ship is chain) But do you think it should be Lego, or real chain? Also I'd like to know what the figurehead ought to be... The ship is 86 studs from the tip of the forecastle to the tip of the poop deck, and 24 studs at it's widest bredth (The real ship is 90x24.5, I used a 1:40 scale) edit: do you have any ideas on what might be used for all the blocks? Google dosn't tell me whether I should use lego or real chain...

Ditto... Nice little trees, etc. in the background too...

I thought the SES's figurehead was just a skull... Adding onto what Slyowl was sawing earlier... I have a rifle (accually a few) from the 2000 rerelease of the BSB and it has an indent in the stock. I wonder if this is true with all the 2000 pirate sets... not sure if you'd consider the 2000 sets, NEW.

1. What is a sextant? 2. What is the figurehead on the HMS Beagle? There's been a lot of debate of whether it's a simple scroll, or a dog (likely a Beagle) 3. What is a dolphin striker? 4. Would you consider the futtock chain rigging? And if I did use all the chains and such, should I use the Lego chain or real chain? I wan't it to be realistic, but mainly lego, so I'm unsure... edit: how might someone do belay pins in lego? edit: edit: Do you guys out there think I shoul do all SEVEN dingys, or maybe just one or three? edit:edit:edit: My model is to largly be based on THIS model. I also got a lot from THIS book. (those interested in building recreations should definately look into the series)

El sterno es muy macho!!!!!!! (got any shots from the rear?) Now here comes the oh so fun part... rigging!!!! :pir- The tumblehome curve turned out very nice for the fact that you used 2x2/1x3's I have but one objection. I DO NOT think you should have the decals of the flags facing out on the front of the ship. Thanks for the update! Spank you, spank you very much... P.S. What's that figurehead ya got there? I can't tell from the pics... edit: It's really amazing that you were able to fit so much onto just the prefab hulls... it seems wider than just 18 studs... probably just those small little cannons you used on the UGD... makin everything look bigger (but its not like this is small)

My Favorite Charity (If you accually carry out with this project) Agreed comepletely. Your first LARGE project shouldn't be 11'x13' Probably something more like 5'x6', if not less. (which would also make shipping far easier, though building in sections also works for REALLY big stuff...) I can't say much else unless I know what you plan on building... P.S. Your title has the word legal in it, and I cannot find anything illegal about accepting lego donations (unless you had an agreement to return thier bricks, and didn't)

I can't see anyone wanting to pay $500 for THIS

Something like THIS might work... its rather small though...

Must be a really small house... P.S. Is this supposed to be like the battle of waterloo? The Final Fight, Waterloo (similarity eh? )

1. Tape some fabric onto a somewhat thick piece of paper 2. Find the design you want printed on the sails 3. Put the fabric/paper thing in your/an Inkjet printer (make sure it's placed so that it prints on the fabric side) 4. Print the design 5. If the color is too light, let dry (should only take a minute) then print over a second time. 6. trace an outline of the sail onto the paper side. 7. Cut out 8. Remove paper 9. Voila! (and you didn't even need to use iron ons...)

Do you mean at the moment it has a brick built hull? Or is it still currently built upon the prefab hulls? Got a link to that Wehrmacht army? Sounds like a rather big project... And, when you say ALMOST done, do you mean it needs a brick or two, or you've only got to do the rigging? Also, you can either call me by my real name (John) or just Green. Avenger sounds funny... Hope the project isn't too expensive! Can't wait till the next update!

He specifically said So I was wondering if he ever got around to taking pictures of said upgrades...

Any Idea When the Next Pirate Sets will be announced?

Here you are Claudius! -
Its accually $0.58 per piece ($11.52/20=0.576) Which is a really good price, in comparison BRICKLINK usually sells a little less than $0.50 for the originals... Think I might have to buy some...

Do I have to keep bumping this post or are you gonna post an update...
