  1. Ah, the indexing of pirate ships! Yes, I
  2. Thank you for fixing the poll Apo; and thank you for providing such a lovely visual aid! 007, nice job on condensing the highlights of each helmet in one fell swoop. People probably prefer the flared helmet over its cousin because its curves make it appear more elegant. I love seeing these guys on black falcons, in large numbers. They also look pretty snazzy in dark grey on crusaders (red/yellow color scheme). A grilled visor would be a good replacement for our current grilled helmet, but I actually like these guys quite a bit; especially in dark grey. I pretty much agree with the rest of your assessments. *y* Yes, a black kettle helmet would be spectacular! Baby blue on the other hand... :-P What annoys me the most about new helmet molds is the incomplete circular indentation used to secure the helmet. It seems older helmets that use the complete indentation always lock on securely; sometimes too securely. :-P The "Scorpion" Helmet overcame that flaw, thank goodness. I just really wish TLC would stop churning out flimsy helmets. Avast, they be visors! Although they would make lovely candidates for a
  3. Hmm, this caught my eye on brickshelf a while back. I respectfully disagree with the Brickster that this would make a good
  4. Have a happy birthday, Darth Ewok!
  5. I don't believe we've had this poll yet, so the top pick should surely be intriguing... The variety of Castle helmets remained rather limited up until the 90's when an outburst of new molds sprang up and continued into the 2000's. Some molds have brought tears of joy while others have only brought tears. Which type of metallic helmet do you history buffs prefer? To clarify what name goes with what helmet: Flared Helmet "Non"-Flared Helmet Grilled Helmet Dragon Master's Helmet Samurai Helmet "Scorpion" Helmet Viking Helmet Crown "Bat" Helmet Kettle Helmet EDIT: Erp, the poll didn't show up! Strange... I don't suppose one of the MODs could fix it, eh?
  6. Yep, I pretty much agree with all of Mr. Phes
  7. Huzzah! Merry Christmas fellow Eurobrickers! This year
  8. Oh, I don't know. Some people like yoda have these huge collections of star wars LEGO and I would think a burglar would have enough sense to take the stuff and put it on Ebay. Apparently no one's really had a problem with burglaries, so that's good to know. :-P
  9. D'oh! :-$ Sorry, I forgot. I might need to revert to "Happy Holiday" after all... |-/
  10. Apparently I was mistaken in my assumption that you were referring to mini-fig legs. I apologize for the confusion and subsequent argument. *takes out his list of things to never do and writes down 'calling Monsieur Tiber ~Tiber'* :-P
  11. I just wanted to add my admiration for work. You seem to have a great knack for color coordination and overall aesthetic pleasantness. You also know how to really stretch the brick so to speak. I wish you luck in the CCCIV. *y* The Castle Attack and the Slice of Medieval life are my favorites because you manage to capture so much life and spirit within a limited space, but at the same time you manage to prevent them from looking sloppy. The Room Interior is also very beautiful. (Coming from someone who doesn
  12. The "Red Plague" is a great rendition of (what I'm assuming is) a pirate sloop. I like the use of the barrels as a substitute for the mast quite a bit. In fact this type of mast has been popping up in quite a few ship MOCs lately. I'll have to try it out. From afar the sails stand out a little too much. They could use a bit of pizazz. Interesting piece usage to hold the back flag up. This is a nice ship/present oDDerFisken!
  13. Mr. Tiber, you make a good point! I don't suppose there are any MOCs already using his legs as tentacles? I do own four of those fellows after purchasing a few "battle wagon" sets on sale (mainly for the shadow knights), but I do have to admit that I like the Rascus figure. He's the most bearable of the five main characters. (IMO) :)
  14. I meant in terms of the color. Interesting. This is the first time I've seen this type of mast employed in a MOC if I'm not mistaken.
  15. Yes, unfortunately 007 is right. Pity the bare interior; but that's where MOCcing comes in. This next set is an excellent source of black
  16. An ewok hut! Imagine if you will a giant tree consisting of a ton of brown. Near the top a circular like hut will encompass the tree
  17. A female ninja?! That's double the bad luck according to Pirates of the Caribbean and the fact that she's a ninja. Where's that cat picture? Because I feel that there is a traitor amongst us. Very good. We just can't let the prisoners escape from willy nilly ill-fashioned prison doors.
  18. Interesting fort, sir monkey. What
  19. Hmm, they seem to be non-existent. This is all I could get brickshelf to spit out: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2000063
  20. I spotted this "pirate island" on brickshelf, but wasn't sure if it's been discussed before. link: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2072825 You can also spot the lighthouse in the corner of a picture or two.
  21. Mr. Tiber, you are one of the few. Be proud! :-P
  22. Wow, awesome work, ZCerberus! This is one unusual pirate ship, but very original too. The colors are great. *y* I enjoy the rigging and appreciate some of the finer details such as the grappling hooks and the anchor. The sails look similar to the type found in Evil Willy
  23. A reality TV show about burglary was on last night. This got me thinking about LEGO hobbyists who
