  1. Thanks! D'oh, my excitement must have blinded me. :-D
  2. lego.com has all of the new space sets up (along with all of the castle sets): 7697 7695 7694 7693 7692 7691 7690
  3. Actually, one of the classic-castle.com users provided a special link which allowed you to preview all of the castle images before they were up. Give me a second to find it. EDIT: Here's the link that I was talking about--> http://assets.lego.com/images/shop/prod/AA...000-XX-B3-1.jpg Simply replace "AAAA" with the set# and replace "B" with 1, 2, or, 3 (depending on whether a third image is provided) and you can view all of the images. Rinse and repeat to view all of the space sets, too. one more edit: I believe the city images are up as well?
  4. What a fortunate turn of events it is when new sets are released as the workload decreases and we have more free time to indulge in our favorite hobby! *sweet* (AKA, it's great to be back. ;-)) I just finished browsing classic-castle.com today and I saw that lego.com has already released the new castle sets, so here they are: 7009 7090 7091 7092 7093 7094 Hopefully some of the local stores will be stocked with them soon.
  5. First, thank you, "12k" for providing us with a picture of 7029! Secondly, this set is substantially different from what I suspected it might look like. (Although, the viking hull isn't surprising.) This is a good thing in my eyes. ;-) The dock has an interesting atmosphere, almost reminiscent of a game I watched my brother play not too long ago that was also fantasy based. This set also has a nice variety of pieces for the pirate fans, and the black viking hull (and mid-piece) is an excellent addition. (This makes me wonder why TLC never made a pirate set with an all-black hull piece.) I just wish that the designers would quit stuffing the castle sets with these turret pieces. Let's hope the mold(s) for that piece breaks soon. ;-) The top also looks like it might come off, in which case, there's a possibility that this set contains some hidden goodies. If I do get around to buying this thing, it will almost certainly be when it's on sale because I'd hate to only own one black viking hull piece. (Not a member of bricklink/not old enough.)
  6. *Grumbles* Today's also the 31st of March where I live. I will admit that I believed DoubleT... until I further inspected the thread! This'll teach me to believe any of the admins on Eurobricks, next time. >:-)
  7. This is good news! I might have to test the LDD out on a rainy day, soon. It's good that TLC is trying to improve the interface, however I'd like to see more availability of pieces in the future. Uh, should I be ashamed for not knowing about that technique? 8-
  8. Excellent Vig, Mr. Tiber! I'm wondering if that guard had it coming... What could he possibly be guarding? The only plausible explanation is that he's goofing off. *Tsk, Tsk*
  9. Mr. Tiber, I think I'll reserve judgment until the ship's build has progressed to a more appropriate stage. You seem to know what you're doing, for now. ;-) Sorry to quote such an old post, but this stern caught my eye. It looks like Monsieur Legeaux used these pieces (below) to support the top and the bottom of the angled section of the stern. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious. :-$ Just found it rather interesting...
  10. I was being silly. :) In all seriousness I don't think an accurate depiction of the bayonet would be feasible. :-/ It's funny, considering technic usually makes it easier to achieve techniques in system sets. Just goes to show that if something isn't broken, don't break it! X-D I'm not opposed to a redesigned/improved mast, though. Anything that allows more versatility is fine by me. *y* What say ye, pirate fans? (SNOT fans?) Certainly something is better than nothing? Just look at KKII. It's an abomination! It should never have been approved in its then current state. The kids that liked those jelly bean knights must have had one too Mountain Dews... Still, the theme gave Castle lovers quite a few useful pieces and a rather popular Scorpion Faction. Even if a System Pirates theme were to start off on the same path as the KKII theme, it would still give us a few useful pieces, and if the popularity of KKII among the kiddies is any indication, we would certainly see more pirate sets in the future. I apologize if that sounded like a rant. :-P Yes, I'd like to see more "neutral" ships. Ships that aren't hunting pirates, but aren't affiliated with them, either. Plus, a merchant ship would be a great opportunity to get lots of gold and food pieces. I would hope that TLC would re-release the classic operational cannons instead of letting juniorization seep into sets. I also agree that we need more islanders.
  11. Even though I usually reserve my icy stare of burning hatred for newbies I
  12. My mistake, Shakar. I didn't see your previous post which already addressed this issue. :-) I'm just pleased that this will be a large set. What are the odds that TLC uses the viking longboat hull?
  13. Mmm, another fort! Everything looks magnificent so far. The yellow and the white go really well together, so I
  14. Woot, Woot, Woot, happy birthday, guys! Took me a while, but I found it... >:-)
  15. Wow, that is very surprising. Could you perform an experiment of sorts to determine what it's maximum support is before it starts slipping? I'd like to see an entire fort up there. :-D
  16. In light of the recent We want pirates thread, I decided now would be a good time to start discussing our wants and our dislikes in more depth to give those that work with TLC an idea of how they should resurrect their pirates theme. Then we shall post our best ideas in the We Want Pirates Thread. Your opinions and insights can vary from set design to box art to torso design or even the dreaded juniorization! A word not uttered in quite some time. (Good job TLC! *y* ;-)) A few of my ideas: Cast elements in different colors. (Conquistador Helmet, for one...) New weaponry and armor. (Feel free to share anything specific.) Personally, I desperately want TLC create this baby: Embossed Helmet: New cannon molds? New mast design? At the very least improve the stability of the new technic mast. What I don't want: Cheap plastic flags or sails such as THIS. Scrap the +4 pirate hull, or at least systemize it... Suggest away but don't forget to request Pirates in the We want Pirates thread.
  17. Yes, I thought the same thing upon my arrival to this thread, Mr. Tiber. Hopefully, you shall show us the light, and prove us wrong. ;-) The exterior looks mighty fine, so far. I noticed that the inn has two stud wide black timbers, instead of the usual "one stud wide" standard. What roof color do you intend to use?
  18. Actually, I clicked on the "Vikings" link and came to this page: LINK At the bottom, to the right of the unavailable picture, it shows a price higher than that of the viking longboat. It seems this set will be quite hefty.
  19. It's funny that you should mention how old this MOC is since I was about to ask if Mr. ZCerberus' MOCs inspired you. I don't know, maybe I should get my eyes checked... The MOC itself is very solid, however I think the ship would be better off without the yellow. That way it will maintain a more consistent color scheme. I also like the figurehead. *y*
  20. Heh, that's what I call resourcefulness... I agree with the others that this ship appears "thrown together", but since this was only a time filler I'm sure this MOC is full of much more potential. 007, mentioned your other ship, which I like a lot, so I can see that you're already a very capable ship builder! (Or at least a capable sloop builder. ;-)) I also like the sail's color scheme in the other MOC. I was thinking of doing something similar for my own boat, but I'm still hungup on the right way to get that "airy sail" look.
  21. I had no idea what a "Semaphore Station" was, but thanks to you, now I do! I like the shape of the tower, so far. I'm interested in how it will progress, so keep us updated. *y* By the way, did they use smoke to communicate from similarly designed towers before they developed these other systems? I'm just curious what the history is behind these semaphore stations, if there is any.
  22. Sweet marmalade, it appears that the Imperial Armada has allied itself with the Imperial Soldiers! Or have these soldiers betrayed their country for a tidy sum? The mystery unfolds, and only one person can clear the confusion
